    Written recipe at yummykitchentv.com/homemade-c...
    Ingredients
1/2 cup unsweetended cocoa powder (dutch process) I used "Dutche' Brand
1 cup fresh milk (or evaporated milk)
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. all purpose flour
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    a pinch of salt
    DIRECTIONS
In a pot, sift the cocoa powder, all purpose flour, sugar and salt. Sift to remove lumps. Mix well.
Then, add in the milk. Stir and mix well until all powder is completely dissolved.
Turn on heat and cook the mixture in low heat while stirring continuously. It burns fast so make sure that you stir nonstop until the sauce becomes thickened.
After a few minutes (4 minutes or so), the sauce will start to boil and becomes thicker. Use rubber or silicone spatula for stirring to scrape the sides and bottom of the pot while cooking.
Once the consistency of the sauce becomes thick, turn off the heat and add the vanilla and butter. Stir until the butter is completely dissolved.
Let it cool and use in any desired dessert or as dip.

I tried it and it turned out so awesome. Everybody was so elated in my family eating this with chocolate cake. But if you're using ½ cup of cocoa powder and instead of 1 cup milk , use 1½ cup milk . You will get the right consistency. I'm saying on the basis of my personal experience. Apart from this, everything was fantastic. It's fabulous.😍😍😍😍😍

The vanilla extract is not necessary. It's if you only want to taste chocolate that you would take it out.
If you use cocoa powder that hasn't been treated with alkali, also known as the Dutch process, then you will need to incorporate a little baking soda into your chocolate sauce to counteract the natural acidity of cocoa powder. Most baking with cocoa powder utilizes the powder as the acidic element to "leaven" the brownie or cake with baking soda and the cocoa powder. But for a chocolate sauce by itself you would need to do the same thing. Most recipes call for a 1/4 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda per 3/4 cup of cocoa powder. When heating and mixing give time for these two things to mix and set. If it tastes still too sour you can add a little more baking soda. But give time for these things to react and neutralize each other.

@@carmenmancera1344 If you use cocoa powder that hasn't been treated with alkali then you will need to incorporate a little baking soda into your chocolate sauce to counteract the natural acidity of cocoa powder.

Hi! This is really helpful. I'm just curious, does the consistency stay the same once it's off the stove, or it hardens? I'm planning to make the dark chocolate version for my crepes. Thanks!

It's not going to get hard but gets thicker as it cools down. So depending on how runny or thick you want, you may adjust the flour.

Just a question, once this cools down, does the texture harden? I want to create a chocolate sauce to mix in a waffle batter so hopefully, when I create one, the consistency of the sauce will remain as is. Thanks for the response!
