*you can lessen the sugar in making of the filling and streusel if you want to reduce the sweetness😊

yield: 28 to 30 pcs. donut
chocolate donut ingredients:
500 grams bread flour
50 grams milk powder (1/2 cup)
50 grams cocoa powder (1/2 cup)
10 grams instant dry yeast (2 tsp.)
1 and 1/4 cup water (320 ml.)
1/2 tsp salt
80 grams sugar (mali po yung nasa video sorry, the amount of sugar written in the video was suppose for 1 kilo of flour.
70 grams margarine or butter (1/3 cup)
chocolate filling:
1/2 cup cocoa powder (50 grams)
1 cup sugar (200 grams)
1 can evaporated milk (370 ml)
6 tbsp. cornstarch dilluted in water
2 tbsp. margarine or butter
chocolate glaze:
1 and 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup boiling water
you can add coffee powder
for Streusel:
50 grams cocoa powder (1/2 cup)
50 grams milk powder (1/2 cup)
100 grams sugar (1/2 cup)
oil for frying

Yung filling po ba eh di titigas na parang maja blanca? At hindi po ba sobrang tamis kasi layers of sugar po halos lahat? Tapos po makunat po ba sya kasi at the end of the video nung hinati nyo po parang makunat tingnan?
*Continue stirring po para di mamuo at maging smooth ang texture nung filling at add ng butter sa huli, kalasa po siya at ka texture ng chocolate icing ng goldilocks if done right po. Ginagamit ko po itong recipe na pang coat din ng mga cakes basta po tama procedure maganda ang kakalabasan
*pwede po kayo mag bawas ng sugar sa filling at streusels, wag lang po sa dough at sa glaze kasi mag iiba ang ratio ng dough tapos kukulangin naman yung glaze.
*medyo na over fry ko po yung isang sides na naipakita kong piece sa video kaya medyo mukhang makunat. Malambot po yung recipe ng dough if again done right😊

I've been looking for this recipe for a very long time since visiting Kawasan Falls. It was so good that I bought about 10 from the vendor and got to sit and chat with him while eating. If you want an overloaded filling , double the recipe filling hahaha
If you’re wondering why there is so much sugar, the sugar in the dough is only used for the yeast to consume so the dough can rise there will still be sugar but it won’t be too sweet. So if you want to lessen the sugar do it with the filling.

We tried this kind of choco donut when we visited kawasan falls in Cebu. May nagbebenta along the way going sa falls, and this one is so good. Masarap sya, mejo messy nga lang kainin but still masarap. ❤

I made these. They were so good! Perfect for those who loves chocolate. I really want to try baking the doughnuts instead of frying because I've always find it difficult to fry baked goods in oil. I always burn it 😅 Has anyone tried baking them instead?
wow thanks for creating a vid that's sooo detailed. I've eaten this with my siblings after a very long trek at the Kawasan Falls in Badian. I LOVED IT SO MUCH BUT SADLY UBUSAN ANG DONUTS NA TO DUON AND WE HAD ONLY BOUGHT A FEW :(
I worked po sa Cebu for a while and was able to eat choco lanay.. in bisaya lanay means melted..
yung natikman ko was always hot and the chocolate oozes from the inside as you bite at it, what makes it distinct from other pinoy bread po is yung cocoa powder + sugar filling is still quite gritty pa pero in a good way. masarap sya
im sure masarap to though 😊 will try this kung kalasa nong choco lanay na na try ko few years ago..

I’ve been to Kawasan Falls twice but never got to taste this hehe! Looks yummy though. 😃 you can see this being displayed beside the road along with other souvenirs made from coconut shells.
I've been in kawasan falls in cebu. I totally recommended the place. Its really wonderful and lots of foreigners coming. Although you need to walk for about 45 minutes or more, its still worth it. Too bad, I was only in 1st falls 😢 but if you want to go up more you can ask the tour guide. They will assist you very well. I forgot how many falls are their 😅
I made these in the middle of the night and i finish it only after 3 AM worth every work hahah super yummy!!

OMGGGGGGGGG DAGHAN SALAMATTTT!! I'm from Zamboanga City and ever since my trip from Cebu specifically when we went to kawasan falls last November 2021 I'm still craving for this donut. In my opinion if I was given the option between dunkin, krispy kreme or this one? I'll choose this any time of the week. Goshh I still remember the first bite, we were just finishing our long hike from the most heavenly place kawasan was when we encountered Manong with his Bilao filled with this chocolate powdered not so mini donuts and he had a chocolate sauce inside a plastic ketchup container. At first I was hesitant because I was not so fond of sweets but when I took the first bite it was so delicious I had to order another, it was freshly cooked and to my surprise kuya said it's unli filling with just a pinch of his ketchup container filled with choco syrup it was magical✨ He really completed that once in a lifetime trip, I only pray he's still there? Because it was before the super typhoon hit cebu and I saw the damages and I was deeply saddened, I hope Cebu will make a speedy recovery because I'm planning to bring my family and get the experience I got before. Again thank youu for sharing this recipeee!!

I tried this earlier and it is seriously delicious. It is not that sweet for me. One factor would be that I substituted a bit of powdered sugar, in the glaze, with cornstarch. Another thing would be to not too much filling. It's worth the time and effort to make. Eating in moderation is really something that we always have to keep in mind.
I'm a 11 year old I kinda think it kinda looks like a slime😂 when youade the dough but that recipe really looks good wish I had the complete ingredients

I've made this and it's not that sweet because of the streusels. It was bittersweet, perfect for my dark chocolate craving. The filling was just right. i was thinking it was really sweet but not at all. My family didn't love it coz it was too bitter (they're not into dark cocoa) for them but I love the balance.
