  • Michael Peace weanling training.
Preparation for the farrier will keep a young horse out of trouble.
Like so many things with horses, time spent correctly in the beginning prevents problems in the future.

Thanks for the video. Your obvious love of horses and calm demeanor had a very positive effect on this young guy. Nice work.

I like the look in the horse’s eye, he says, i dont mind you messing with my feet at all, but what is this person with this box watching us?

Any Trainer that says you should leave your horse a lone until they are 2 is a Lazy No Good Trainer!
Socializing your Goal, sealing, or yearling is Extremely Important to gentling your horse to the saddle! Haltering and teaching ground tying first, leading, Feet, and body grooming, ect...! Makes your horse sweet as pie!
Make sure you geld your stud colts as soon as possible!

Not sure if you will see this but I was wondering if you could help me little.
I recently rescued a little Shetland pony, she had never been handled, halter broke and she was on her way to the doggers. I can brush her and pat her but I’m worried to pick up her hooves as when I brush her legs she gets her teeth out to try and bite. Her feet need to be picked out but I don’t want her to have a bad experience or bite my head off haha. Do you have any tips or things that you recommend to help?

Tim Green I’m gonna say “nothing”. The filly I work does just that. It’s just a matter of teaching that I am not interested in a co-grooming arrangement. 😁
