Looks are what attract a man (usually) but what keeps a man is her heart and soul (faithfulness, love, responsibility, reliability etc.) older men understand this and in return will apply themselves completely. A good man, a responsible man will support and protect his woman with his life as long as she respects the relationship, if not it will fail. In the west men have been exposed to women that do not respect themselves, so how can men respect them. Being faithful, respectful are extremely important both from him and her. Maya, really nice sit down chitchat interview with gorgeous lovely Sharon. Heartbreaking hearing her story like so many other women throughout the world. I guess it comes down to one’s own preference in regard to age differences. Personally, me being 58 would definitely not date younger than 40 yrs old. Would not matter if she had children or not either. Accepting them too the same way I would accept their mother. I can truly relate to all single mother’s situations struggles & stories. For I too was a single father raised my daughter on my own. That was the hardest thing I ever did in my entire life. Nice video!😊

I am 61 and forgot to have kids. I much prefer dating women with kids ! Kids are often more fun than their mom 🙂
Obviously the old guy boyfriend should help his partner financially. If I were the single mom... I would make sure my potential partner had sufficient resources to care for me and my kids. Also...the foreigner should have a plan to support his partner long after he drops dead. Vloggers never discuss what happens to the young partner when the old dude croaks 🙂

guess I wouldn't mind dating a single Mom there since I never had kids. The only problem is I did get attached to my one Girlfriends Daughter, so the breakup was twice as difficult. Rasing a child there is way more affordable than the US.

That's ridiculous that you say that a single mother is the best woman. Sing a woman even young can make excellent wive. Maybe they are smart and matute enough to to choose the right time to have a baby.
If the 1st guy was missing 2 years (he was busy with other women), I think it is he that´s broke it off; deliberately abandoning her and daughter / responsibilities. By 35 he should have been more than settled, and failure to want to meet family (at all, not necessary being 2 islands away) shows lack of long-term intention (maybe Player). Older, 50´s guy, 2nd time around sounds much better, and keep up the long LDR process, but sadly died.
I am 54, and looking for maybe 24+/-6 this time around, without kids already; as older they get, more likely to have children. From what I can see, with laws about co-habiting and then being alone with kids, it can be a legal problem; and if you adopt kids, then they will get an equal share of any inheritance (so if you already have kids, then they will be disadvantaged, funding some other guy´s responsibilities). I was in a 5 month LDR with OFW with 1 child, but now solely looking for early twenties woman without a child.
Nobody is talking about inheritance, but I can see many looking for 1 child+ single moms, not realising existing children will get much less inheritance, due to Philippines / colonial Spanish law overhang. Adopting a child means they inherit as if your offspring child. Wills are very complex, hard-coded in Spain / Philippines, and impossible to make provisions like only my offspring get a full child share; I cannot see why adopted children cannot be treated same as (unmarried) illigimate children, and given a half-share of a blood child.
I think any local ex-guy would be the one causing problems, since he´d want to wiggle out of any child support, by causing problems. Is this only with being alone in house with daughter, or sons as well? Ditto if they were married, and not annulled etc. Sounds like an extra barrier / money-pit (that sadly unless widowed) that puts single moms off my radar.
Of course, if a guys is not leaving anything behind, it won´t matter; but if you have worked hard all your life, you would want any wife and kids to be provided; especially as this 50´s guy then developed problems and died. You could also die at 35, on a scooter, on a bus, traffic accidents and medical complications are more common, than in west.
I am not saying that I blame the single mother, given sweet nothings, led along; but for me, I have re-considered my position; and I would urge more discussion on this issue; especially if a woman has multiple kids already.

To be honest a single mum for me a big No. Its like dating two girls. Its very obvious a single mum just wants a better life for her child, children. Also in my opinion a single mum is also irresponsible not only the guy who left her. My advice to foreigners till you can get a filipina without a child don't waste your time on a single mum. I know its brutal but its valid for any woman in the world.
@Hey_itsmaya I see no logic at all in Filipina women. Really if you claim younger guys are immature and just wants to play (fair enough) and you want to choose a foreigner older guy because he is more mature!
Lets break that logic down shall we?
1. If young guys are immature, then why young women not try to find a older Filipino guy to married? Why Foreign men, if age is a factor for maturity (and not foreign or local guys)?
2. If women knows young guys are all in for fun, and women choose to have fun and get children out of wedlock and then blames guys are immature? It does not makes sense, guys cannot make babies by themselves (without the woman participating).
3. If the population assuming 50/50 men and women. Now the majority of women is single moms (can I guess 25%?), that would means the men (25%) counter part is also single and is looking for wife. And also getting older and matured as time goes by. So why are they not a good candidate for these women?
4. What makes women in Philippines thinks that the foreign men that comes to Philippines to marry is the cream of the crop in their countries? I am sure they are the bottom half of the society.
5. A 50+ years old man making say $3000 a month, you thats is below average wage in their country right (the bottom 50%)? But he takes that $3000 to the Philippines, suddenly he now is the top 1% of men, wow what an exeperience. However, no body talks about the traits of these bottom 50% men and what makes them the bottom 50% in their countries. I am sure there are some exception (a few good men amongst the man losers), but in general that is exactly the situation. Unless you can land a foreigner that earns $10k a month which is the top men, you are dealing with many pensioners retirees, 60+ years which effective means a woman might enjoy a few years with the man, until he is too old to perform as a husband and become the old man they have to look after for many years, then when he dies, there is probably nothing in the inheritance or assets that the wife can have.
