A sequel? to what? the cycle of drug addiction in society? you how all these peoples stories played out, but I suppose a version for 2010s or 2020s might be nice. A story highlighting the RC drug availability of the mid 2000s, with ZaZa and Bath Salts products as components. Obviously the rise of fake Xanax cut with Fentanyl but later on zenes and fentalouges. There could easily be a story in here somewhere about virtual doctor visits getting amphetamines, ketamine, downers, etc. shipped to the doorstep legally. Or a Nitrous Oxide addict during the COVID19 pandemic when online Nitrous Oxide canister popularity went up.
Congrats, you managed to put the incredible impact of this masterpiece into 8:44 minutes. This movie and the soundtrack will haunt the audience forever, which of course is meant to be a compliment

Beautiful and heartbreaking. All too real for me growing up in a family of addicts and lost my mom bc of her opiate addiction. Dr prescribed them initially... And she ruined her brain too eventually
i have mixed feelings about this movie, on one hand its one of the best movies ive ever seen, on the other hand i wish i never saw it, it lives rent free in my mind and i feel desolation every time i think about it
Why? This is one of the most uplifting movies I've ever seen! I am NOT being sarcastic or facetious in any way. The 4 main characters, of various ethnicities and from pretty different socioeconomic statuses, come together to chase their wholesome dreams, together and separately. When they discover the road to hell is truly paved with good intentions, they are reduced to their essences, with potentially time enough to try again and little baggage to drag them down. When you have nothing, you have nothing to lose. Sara got what she wanted: to be on THE SHOW with Harry. Who cares that it's not "real" because it's real to her. I don't understand people that find this movie depressing, sad, or disheartening. The end, for me, is singularly hopeful, full of possibilities. Rock bottom is the brightest and most hopeful part of active addiction because it's ripe with the promises of opportunity and the hope of healing. I know this from a great amount of experience, not limited to my own recovery journey.
I think once he let Marianne be with that sleep bag for money he lost her and she lost her innocence forever. It's absolutely amazing the path drug use will take you down no matter how good it seems and how good it's going you'll crash and burn.
Its does make me wonder, was he encouraging the girl to open the store and turn her talent into something wasnt just pointless, maybe inside he knew exactly the situation he was in and he wanted her to get out, which would help him get out of his addiction

One of the first group of kids to start really just walking in and robbing pharmacies for the oxys he went to prison did his time and when he got out made the movie which he plays himself in it is set in Boston Charlestown and the story and ppl are real and I hung out with them
The red dress is an explosive part of the film where a diet pill can be corrosive but that heroine or crack can send one to a memory with focus and correct some unfortunately just for a moment that seems forever but it does send one to heaven.......
Then waking up dieing with no arm and his mother gets shocked like I do with one mistake when your good looking even if you lose your looks your born that way. Now elderly years and my baby pictures and I still look 14 then 50 then 600 now back to 25
Florida use to be the place to get the drugs but that's more then 27 years ago even if one doesn't see it adolescence is stretched til 25 back then now its longer depending on how you look is what I really say but I also have heart
