The longing for that to be the reckognition of her achievements. Something that will make people see and hear her. And often enough their plan to get there will be unrealistic or they put too high expectations into a milestone they then overcommit to. That is what happened here. Sarah wants to be seen. People on television are seen. So being on television will fix her. So she will find her late life glory by doing everything to get there, even if it is careless toward herself by falling for scams or ignoring health risks.

Drugs are more than a medical problem, they’re a social problem as well. Many people turn to drugs to fill the void of interpersonal connectedness that they’re missing in their lives. Oh… behold… we have a real bad boy here. So kids, just do drugs and have fun because apparently drugs aren’t dangerous at all. They just have an over sensationalised reputation.

The movie isn’t about drugs, it has drugs in it that’s all. It shows loneliness, depression, pain, anxieties, poor choices. Anyone can experience this with or without “drugs”. Of course powerful substances can worsen the situation.

@@mikipav1064 drugs are dangerous if abused, numbskull. Caffeine can kill you if abused. Nicotine. Millions take drugs and don't die. Addiction is the killer. You tried though with your ridiculously vapid, know it all comment . Unfortunately for you, you failed miserably and showed what a pea brain you are. Embarrassing really.

Nice damage control for your decadent ways but you missed the point, the movie is about addiction, not merely about drugs or drug addiction.
