Watching dude defend Lebron with the Jordan logo on his jacket is hilarious.
I’ve never seen a lebron fan actually really wear his gear like everyone wears Jordan either
Just shows subconsciously his spirit even knows where’s the lebumbs jacket at 😂 these new age dudes logic is low key zest it’s more impressive to lose than later on win and never lose again than to keep loosing 😂 keep making it to the finals an loosing is @$$ 🤣🤣🤣
Dude first of all Lebumb only went to ten finals. two who is greater the dude who goes over the girl house 6 times and smashed 6 times and all the men around her neighborhood wants to be that man or the dude who went over her house 10 times an smashed four times but shared her with your best friend 3 of those four times and you think you the best she ever had 😂 and dudes around her neighborhood still talk about and want to be the other dude. -----------------but they don’t want to be the other dude who they see go over her house more an call him a simp because he goes over her house sometimes an leaves right back out 😂 -------------because she got other plans to bring somebody else over who knows you and looks at you as soft and is determined to share the spotlight and you can’t stop it 😂 -----------------wile when the other dude was coming over she had no desire to be shared 🤔 and wile you know you are sharing the title as main dude you still trying to convince her your the best she’s ever had------------------ but she still thinks the other dude who she doesn’t see no more is better an even hold other dudes who been long gone over you 😂 -----------------but your friends you hang with try to keep convincing you you are the best she’s ever had but deep down they even know you can’t mess wit the other dude 🤣🤣🤣🤣
funny
If you put the warriors back then the warriors wouldn't have won due to the sheer size and cohesiveness of the teams back then you had guys like Zo Mourning and Mutumbo guarding the paint now there's nobody in there to do it so yes the paint wide open and there's no rim protection.
Literally says in one sentence, “If you are the GOAT you should be able to lead your team to winning” and then not even a couple sentences later….”well, he might not have won the whole thing but he gets there.” Um, what?
I’ve never had an issue with younger people who didn’t watch Jordan and grew up on Lebron as their GOAT. It makes perfect sense. It’s when the ones who never watched tell us how wrong we are when we have seen both.
One thing you never heard about Jordan in a Finals was……”The key to the Bulls winning is if Jordan can finally out play Jeff Hornacek. (A 6th man scorer off the bench)
That statement was made about LeBron in regards to Jason Terry in 2011. He outscored LeBron in the series. Outscored him in the 4th Quarter, blew by him and hit three with LeBron personally guarding him and let Terry take over in the clinching game 6.
I’m sorry, but if you want to be the best to ever, ever do it. You can’t have that on your record.
No need to be sorry.
Nailed it
MJ played against every player that you can remember that are in the hall of fame. Most of these players today aren’t even close
How many players got rings from beating Jordan?-----0
Who got rings from beating lebron----Curry, Durant, Thompson, Green, Iguodala, Nowitzki, Kidd, Terry, Marion, Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Chandler. GSW practically built their dynasty from beating lebron.
Who built a dynasty from beating Jordan at a time when the league was more physical, defensive, and players were more competitive?----NO ONE.
@@alfasiger4178this is FACTS 😊
Especially with the pussy defense they play today.
@@alfasiger4178 Except Larry Bird, but even he as only 3-2 in the finals.
Every player from Isiah Thomas led Pistons and Larry Bird led Celtics got rings by beating Jordan. How many true championship winning dynasties Jordan faced on his way to 6 rings? NO ONE. (Only Magic's Lakers faced Bulls in one finals but they were alomst done.) MJ's rivals Suns, Jazz, Sonics, Blazers, none of them were true dynasties. Jordan's Bulls teams were stacked and always favorites to win the title. LeBron's era has been filled with true championship winning dynasties like Spurs and Warriors. @@alfasiger4178
He’s showing you facts the whole time 🤣
The Bulls were not built around Jordan... Jordan pushed his team in practice until they improved to a level where they could compete at the highest level. He built the team up around himself.
To add, Lebron never "Carried" his team. He was with a Superteam that he got those chips (2012-2013 Heat, 2016 Cavaliers). Enough with the argument that LBJ "carried" anything. He didn't.
Thank you for pointing this out. Everyone around that time knew Jordan pushed his team. This lebron generation doesn't understand this.
Yeah, one sentence I never heard back then was, “Jordan needs the right player around him to win.”
Jordan was ball dominate and could also go on the post and rub off screens off the ball and be just as effective. He was also a more elite defender. To me, that’s game over. Not to mention footwork.
Jordan trained Pippen and pushed his teammates to play fearlessly and all out 💯
fucking barz
Nah he was on point and once you get out of your feelings and watch full games of Jordan you will understand why to this day he’s still known as the 🐐 even by current players in the league. The effeminate energy comes out of the new dudes when they can’t accept what they hear and can’t refute it.
From watching Bird, I compared him to lebron. I can't help but think that Bird is better just from the eye test alone.
@@alfasiger4178bird is better he’ll a lot of players are better than bron and prove they better by winning
Facts brother! There’s never even been a debate. Lebron fans are the only ones believing the bs. U can’t even touch lebron he acts like a sniper hit him from the nose bleeds. Lmao. And I agree bird better than lebron.
Let's not forget hand checking (and a little jersey grabbing) was still legal. The majority of these kids would never have survived. They would've run into the Bad Boy Pistons D and retired right there on the spot.
@@alfasiger4178lebron had a tougher road than Jordan going to the finals and getting beat cause he had to face the warriors and spurs and the Celtics
He called MJ thanos, literally because of all the evidence he supplied! He wasn’t hating on LB, he was just being compared to a player who is clearly above him…
I hate this "jORDaN wAs gEtTinG BouNcEd oUt FiRsT rOunD!!!1" narrative. Jordan got bounced first round of playoffs early in his career. Well guess what? LeBron wasn't even making the playoffs early in his career, while having a stronger roster than Jordan. Atleast Jordan could pull his team to the playoffs every single season with the Bulls. People act as if losing in the first round is worse than not making the playoffs. It's weird. LeBron also was doing well cause he was playing in the much weaker eastern conference. Infact, LeBron has only ever beaten 1 single all NBA first team player in his entire duration in the east. Whereas Jordan played in the stronger conference, and would have to play against a 60 win team first round while being on a garbage lottery team.
Facts! Outside of his rookie year every team he was bounced by 2 teams. The Celtics and the Pistons2 Legendary teams
And he was getting bounced by Bird's Celtics, one of the most legendary teams of all time, with a veteran Larry Legend leading the team.
Jordan was loosing to teams that had 3 an 4 hall of famers an mike still got his still brought it every game. nearly winning alot of those games against those teams . When he made his break he dominated
yeah, all facts thats crazy because thats the lebron fans argument lmao
Bulls were the worst team in the league, they drafted Jordan and became a playoff team that year and he was the ONLY addition.
How can you claim the dude is meat riding MJ when he clearly is stating facts after facts from countless hours of research that no one else is doing. Cmon dawg
This guy said bron was 4-8 in the finals.. you can't take this guy serious
I’m an 80s baby and we, the adults, trade Lebron to the kids. Take him & exit the back door👊🏿 #FOH #6-N O

Lakers lost again. DEBATE OVER NOW…❓❓❓
Saying LeBron is still playing at the same level is raw delusion
Original video is from a few years ago, when LeBron was closer to his prime still.
Maybe not level but his stats are consistent. He definitely not winning like before.

There is 2x the amount of players currently in the nba that are better than 90% if that list be honest
@@Acloud1 really without magic and larry there would be no nba simple as. That means probaly no shaq kobe curry lebron or any other greats to come after. I think you need to do a bit of research on some of these players before you disrespect them. There is a reason the 80s was called the golden age of the nba and the same reason there is so many hall of famers from the 80s too.
Why do you think jordan didnt win his first championship until 1991 seven years after his rookie season. It was because of all the greats he came up against which he eventually beat all of them except bird. So when they all retired jordan dominated and became the 🐐 and still is the billy 🐐.
@@Acloud1 by the way i can name way more than that was just a sample size.

@@Acloud1You need to either tell a better lie than that or do your research on the people that you know nothing about. I'm pretty sure that people that have seen BOTH Jordan and James play have a better idea of who's better.
Stop acting like the bubble was a real championship. That crap needs a an asterisk next to it!
You're talking to fools who believe the In-Season tournament is a legitimate ring.
In COVID times, literally EVERY sport organised their tournaments without audience or restricted % of audiences in stadium. For example, Bayern Munich won UEFA Champions League behind closed doors without fans in stadium. I am yet to meet a Soccer fan who says Bayern Munich's 2020 UCL win was fake or it should have a asterisk. No one says Tokyo Olympics medal winners are frauds because stadiums were only 25% filled. Same goes for literally every other sport.
Champions from literally all the sports in the world won titles without the fans in COVID era and in somewhat weird circumstances but no one says they are fake champs. All those sports champions are considered legit excpet the NBA championship for Lakers. Why?? Why does ONLY the NBA fans from all the sports world say that their rightful champion isn't real champ; there should be asterisk and Bubble championship shouldn't count? Only one reason. King LeBron James. Most of the NBA fanbase is so pathetic that yall will hate the man and disregard his champions than actually accept his greatness.
AD actually was the real MVP in the bubble.
@@krp6680people can accept his greatness it’s the antics he does. Him calling himself king cause that ain’t come for nowhere. It’s the fact he constantly has to tell other he’s great in great at this and that. And more recently saying how he’s the goat. It’s his passive aggressive nature with teammates, media, coaches. He literally has so many antics it’s nuts. People can accept his greatness they’re just tired of the media trying to constantly push this narrative. People aren’t stupid man, all the information you need is researchable, I never got to watch Jordan play. Did my own research and I don’t think anyone can touch Jordan…just based off actual facts. Things that are documented and not hypotheticals and not anything involving my feelings towards the player or anything. Lebron should never have been compared to Jordan to begin with. Magic Johnson and Larry bird would have been better. Lebron is a great player but there’s A LOT of weakness to his game, 21 years and he hasn’t improved a single one of them. He has the most excuses as to why he can’t get it done, the most help yet doesn’t finish the job. Theres only 1 common thing in all of these situations every team he goes. That’s himself. As great as he is, he isn’t great enough for it to really translate to winning. And he isn’t a great team leader. That’s not being hateful it’s just what’s there, it’s what you can quite literally see and watch yourself. If you ever pay attention. On top of that a lot of Lebron fans say crazy disrespectful things or just people in lebron’s camp. That’s another reason for why so much push back from people today. It has nothing to do with being hateful, or not acknowledging he’s great. Plenty of players who’d ton even have Lebron in their top 3 acknowledge how great he is. Yet they don’t have him in their top 3. There’s a different between actually being hateful and just being critical. The bubble is a real championship, BUT it isn’t the “hardest” championship. Maybe mentally it was hard for players with the circumstances. BUT in terms of the physicals it was maybe one of the easiest. No homecourt advantage, no fans, no travel, 24/7 food service from personal chefs. Like come on….
Thank you!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
If you are the GOAT, shouldn't you lead your team to victory? The basis of a GOAT argument cannot, ever be based around how many times you have been runner up. The GOAT wins and pretenders come 2nd
This has to be the dumbest debate I've ever seen. How is it even a debate? Lebron doesn't even come close to Jordan.
The NBA needed someone to "lead" the league after Mike. They chose the wrong mofo...
@@mpound97 How was Kobe the wrong mofo?
Leflop was ruining the game with his flopping as he got older. Everyone started doing it. I stopped watching. Thank god for the leflop rule. Flopping has toned down now.
Jordan was only knocked out of the playoffs in the 1st round 3 times, his first 3 years. Considering he was out most of his 2nd year because of a sprained ankle he still insisted on playing in the playoffs and averaged 38 points, but the Celtics had one of the greatest teams ever so it wasn’t enough. Then he had to try to beat the pistons for a few years while they beat the shit out of him most the time. After those loses he never lost again. Also there is a great video out there that compares the quality of players Jordan had to go up against compared to Lebrons. If I can find it ill come back and add it to this comment.
I believe it was a broken leg.
with a sprained ankle he would be out for 1--2 weeks back then😀
He had a broken foot and insisted on returning way before his doctors or the team wanted him to.
@@--ArcAngel--He added a "Love of the Game" clause in his contract so he can play anytime and anywhere he wants. If you knew about some of the pickup games he played in the summer, you'd have no hesitation in calling him the goat. The question is, has James player anyone as good as Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Shaq, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley. Tmac, Duncan and Robison, Dominique Wilkins, Pat Ewing....etc
And on a side note. Im happy you found your pops lol. And he's the smartest man ever.

There were no easy twos in the game back then. You had 8 people with 2 centers in the paint at all times. In todays game MJ is gonna take those easy 2's but hes also gonna hit that jumper. Imagine lebron with a 50% jumper
Lebron with a 50% jumper?🤔nope cnt imagine it,I mean lebron actually scoring a jumper 50% of the time…..that’s impossible
I mean look at what SGA is doing in todays league. I love that dude, but MJ would feast!
LBJ going to the Finals with multiple teams is bc every season he trades half of them away. He’s traded the most players ever in history and played with the most top 75 players. He’s a goat for sure! A Billy goat 🐐 😂
Yes MJ played the same type of competition, the difference is the 3 ball. Today's competition doesn't focus on defensive mindset, and now you have more possessions.
The conversation about the competition is interesting but it's one of those things where when you get down to it you kinda see why people say comparing eras is kind of messy because the game was played very differently and the physical attributes, skills and strategies were completely different. Basically the 90s and 00s were a strength based game and the 10s, 20s and basically the entire rest of NBA history have been more speed based. Just look at a picture of David Robinson next to Wemby and that'll illustrate the differences. So if you put Steph Curry in the 90s would they be very good at chasing him around the 3 point line? No. But on the flip side if you put Shaq in his prime in the game today would anyone today be strong enough to keep him away from the basket? Also no. So the competition is hard to compare.
Jordan was and still is the GOAT.
Look at the logo on your shirt, that’s the goat
Great reaction. You are the first Lebron fan I have seen that has given credit where it is due. Most seem to get so offended.

Actually Jordan was faster and could jump higher it is true that he's bigger and probably stronger but everyone says MJ was the strongest guard they've ever played against and he certainly didn't avoid contact like LeBron
it's a bit biased but he's stating facts to back up his bias.
No bias. Maybe a little jab towards the queen but no bias. Learn the difference.

LeBron picked super teams. Jordan built a franchise.
Mj only lost in the 1st round twice (1st & 2nd) seasons while lebrom didn't even make the playoffs in his first 2 seasons.😅😅😅😅
You should check out the video where they use stats to find out the best basketball seasons on record
The reason lebron made it to all of those finals is because he was in the east and the east was super weak compared to the west. It was no competition in the east so it was easy to get to the finals. When Jordan played in the east it was the hardest conference in a time when they actually played defense and fouled.
Jordan did all this in an era where they actually played better "D". In Lebron's era, the rules favor the offense and not defense.
Appreciate the open mindedness.. it’s ok for Lebron to be your favorite player and MJ be the Goat. That’s ok!! Not sure why other younger fans can’t just say that. Lebron can be your fav player and MJ the goat. We’re all in the NBA family as fans.. so just appreciate MJ. That’s like ppl debating if the Mona Lisa painting is top tier lol.. the debate makes no sense lol. If anyone is closer to MJ that distance is like earth to the moon, so it’s pointless to compare who’s the goat other than MJ. And if your even looking in this era u still have Kobe or curry or even KD who or on Lebron level if not better. That’s a better debate for younger guys if anything. Seems like ya choose Lebron by default when their are many players better then him truthfully

Most of Jordan's opponents are now hall of famers, so yeah his level of competition was as good as Bron's. You could even argue that it was tougher since they were highly skilled and much more physical.
It matters when he's talking about how poor of a shooter James is 😂😂
MJ did it with the team that drafted him he did not go chasing rings with super teams
The same way this generation says "Jordan was way better than I thought he was", if you study almost any All Star from the 80's or 90's you may be surprised
Dude is not glazing or dik ridn. He telling the 200% truth blood!!!

Jordan 1988 season is the greatest season in nba history 💯 his 1989 season is #2
Lebron joined teams he thought had championship potential, and he gets trades he wants. MJ joined one of the worst teams of the league and turned them into a dynasty.
Yes, however the game was entirely different. No traveling allowed, hand/ forearm checking. Bulls shut the warriors down playing 90’s basketball, warriors have a very small chance playing 2020 basketball
Even playing in this era, if the Warriors aren't making AT LEAST 50% of those 3's, they're going to lose. That's their only "advantage" over Chicago.
13:39 You kept it so real imma subscribe. 👍🏽✌🏾
Literally laughed out loud when Einstein came up. "Pops?!" Gold, man!
Not only did he face comparable, perhaps better, competition… Barkley, Kemp, Garnett, Magic, Bird, Kobe, Isiah, Stockton, Malone, Nash, etc…, he also played against different monsters at center. How well do you think Lebron would fair under or at the basket with Hakeem, Shaq, Mutumbo, Ewing, David Robison, etc… .
Applying Walter Payton's quote, Lebron must be only "good" and not really great, when he broke Kareem's scoring record last Feb, 2023, and he self proclaimed as being the greatest.
Stop that narrative that LeBron carried these teams to finals bro, he had to go join super teams to get there in every championship he's won & D-Wade willingly took a backseat to LeBron in order for him to get the limelight and anyone counting that BS title in the bubble is smoking crack!! Kyrie was the main reason for the Cleveland championship stop the cap!! LeBron has been chasing titles all over the country, Jordan built his throne (GOAT) in one place, Chicago!!! As the video stated in the end, this debate is not really even a debate!!
He can't be hating when it's facts my boy 💯 Jordan da goat
Jordan played on the least talented team in the NBA in the 80s.They were the worst team in the NBA that's why they drafted Jordan. The Bulls were so terrible they called them "the cocaine traveling all stars. And that's because they all did cocaine, not Jordan though. They played to just collect a check so they would buy cocaine. Jordan walked in on them at a hotel. LeBron played with Hall of Fame players and All Stars and future Hall of Famers to win a championship. LeBron left his team to join a super team to get championships.LeBron would've never have won two of his titles if Ray Allen doesn't hit that three pointer in the corner. If Ray would've missed that shot at the buzzer games over and the series literally is over because theirs know more games to be played. But he made it and they then played game 7 and won. Jordan's first three championships had only one All-star and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen that's it. And he wasn't always that good,he was really skinny wasn't a good jump shooter yet and struggled to shoot free-throws. Pippen and Jordan started lefting weights for the 1990-1991 season to get pass the Pistons. It worked. And yes Jordan played against a lot of Hall of Famers. He destroyed a lot of Hall of Famers chances at winning a championship..
Jordan played better competition in a defensive physical era.
How you gon mention Jordan losing in the first round(which was in the beginning of his career) and not mention Lebron NOT EVEN MAKING THE PLAYOFFS in first 2 years? Or mention Lebron only averaging 17 points IN THE FINALS vs Dallas where he was playing on on a SUPER TEAM.
How can Lebron be the GOAT when he’s not even the best SF ever?

Don't make the same mistake that other fans do.
your favorite player isn't most of the time the best.
In fact i bet that the majority of the fans in the 90's hated MJ but recognized that he was the GOAT
MJ played in an era of not only amazing players, but in an era where the rules made scoring harder, driving lanes were not as wide open and nba players weren't coddled. you could beat up someone like MJ.
" I said some nonsense just now, I admit that.".......I just subscribed. Respect bro
LeBron has 20 years of technological, development, nutrition, and game knowledge advantage than Jordan and still couldn't get close to Mj
I think the question you were trying to say was if Jordan played against today's league where the average player base is higher skilled would he have been just as successful. It's a valid question... But I would argue he would have been more successful.
With today's league having better shooters and the three-point being much more prominent that means players are more spread out which makes it easier for Jordan to get within his most comfortable range of shooting and makes drives easier. That would also make his teammates more dependable as shooters and would make Jordan an even greater passing threat with the amount of pressure he puts on the defence. So I actually think Jordan's stats would be insane if he played in today's era.
Another valid question you posed is would a team like the Warriors be even more dominant if they played in Jordan's era. I would argue no. I don't think they beat the Bulls in the 90s. Besides Curry, i dont think anyone could get going especially during the Jordan, Rodman and Pippen era. Durant would be guarded by Pippen who is even more physically imposing and is a great defender, Durant would still perform well but not up to his standard. Klay is getting shut down by Jordan. That leaves Steph as their only real mismatch offensively. There is nothing the warriors can do about stopping the bulls on the other end no matter which era.
Although LeBron making the finals 12 times is insane, and deserves its respect. The reason why winning and making the finals aren't the same is because making the finals means you are better than half the league, winning the finals means you're the best team in the league. If Lebron's teams faced the eventually champions in the first round then he too would have been first rounded. That's why the difference is huge.
LeBron's legacy is vast and deserves all the respect... I don't like the guy but 20 years easily makes you earn the title of King. And he has performed magic time and time again. He's just not the greatest and there's nothing wrong with that.
Aye this was a W take I like the way you think !! Hit that sub button
The Einstein joke was pretty fire😂
i love how people try to point at jordan getting bounced in the first round, i mean the teams he played all but one time were in the finals everytime and 3 times they wont the title
The argument of saying that players today are “better” than they were in Jordan’s era is stupid and has nothing to do with GREATNESS. Greatness is taking your game to a level that your competition cannot match. MJ separated himself from his competition in a way Lebron couldn’t imagine.
MJ played some of the all time greats Id say harder competition
The problem is lebron actualy never carried his teams. He always had at least one all star or hall of famer sometimes 2 even. Jokic had worse players By his side than lebron having been one of the first to win a chip as the only all star on his team. Yet people dont say jokic hard carried his team bc he makes everyone around him so much better.
Jordan was the competion LeBron is playing today. However, yes - Penny, Shaq, Euwing, Malone, Dikembe, Bird, etc.
Remember this...just because you do something for a long time, doesn't mean you're the best at it.
You're emotional dude. Longevity doesn't mean you're that dude. The struggle is part of the legacy. MJ struggled with his team, never switched up. Lebron left first chance he got.
Your question was about taking teams and talent from this era and putting them against the teams and talent of that era, which I think is a valid question worthy of consideration.
My question would be, since we’re talking about comparing them as players, if you took LeBron & put him in that league or took MJ and put him in this league what would happen.
Keep in mind, they’re generally not letting guys LeBron’s size run point unless you’re Magic Johnson or shoot the 3, which isn’t even a big part of that game. I think he probably winds up a better Scottie Pippen or a lesser Karl Malone.
It could be argued with no handchecking and rules that aid offense Jordan would torch this league. He’s not going through the physical battles so his career lasts longer. He shoots the 3 more often and ofc better cuz he’s getting a lot more reps. I mean… 🤷🏾♂️
No handshaking, no touching a player, no big men and much more space dude.. Jordan would be something out of this world wven more than he already was
@@nathanmckenzie904 I gotta agree. It would be disgusting.
I’m glad you are watching MJ videos and seeing with your own eyes why he’s the GOAT. No shame in having your favorite player be someone else.
Yes. MJ played great competition and with difficult rules.
Keep digging through MJs career and you will be amazed at how underrated MJ actually is.
💯💯
People need to understand the difference between "GOAT" and "favorite". Just because LeBron is your favorite, that doesn't mean he's the GOAT. And just because Jordan is the GOAT, that doesn't mean he has to be your favorite.
It's cool if LeBron is your favorite. You grew up watching him, so it makes sense. But the numbers don't lie. Jordan was objectively a better player.
Michael Jordan did what LeBron still hasn’t done in half the time…
Bro got on a Jordan jacket. 😂
Being the team to beat, not trying to be the team to beat
Bruh!!! I bout had an actual heart attack when Albert Einstein showed up and you yelled out, "DAD??!!!!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jordan best yr was every year, lebron best yr will be when he retires
You asked about competition in their respective eras. It’s not comparable because of rule changes. Especially hand checking and how a normal foul in Jordan’s era is probably a flagrant 1 or 2 now. You can’t spread the floor in Jordan’s era with those differences. Alternatively, the same teams from his era wouldn’t have the skill sets needed for the modern era. But Jordan’s game would be just as good or better because he was going off when he got hand checked and tackled going to the rim. Imagine that advantage with his skills, athleticism, zero flopping, no complaining, and fundamentals? They both would have to adapt to each era respectively, but I highly doubt LeBron would be better in the physical era. Centers could camp in the paint and dare you to even try it. Jordan on the other hand would have a field day.
I appreciate your effort to keep an open-mind. All in all, we are all NBA fans.
Always
I’ll put it this way , if Todays players are playing in the Rules of the 90s they will not dominate because of the style of defense…. Same as if those 90,s players are playing in todays game they will not dominate due to the style of offense…. Only a selective few will dominate in ANY era
I've watched them both. Jordan is the goat by far. BY FAR
FAAARRRR!
This debate only exists because the lebron fans are ignorant and suffer from cognitive dissonance. Jordan wasn't my favourite player, but I knew he was the best, and I know that lebron isn't even a close second.
To answer your question about the warriors of today playing the bulls of old it could never be compared because the only reason todays players are at the standard they are is because of the players and teams of old and none more than his airness and the G.O.A.T Michael Jordan.
Remember the first quote about saying you're the best and being told you're the best?
Nobody says LeBron is the best more than LeBron does.
He'd have got chewed up in the 90's without a doubt and not have lasted as long as he has in the bubble wrapped league that he plays in today.
On the topic of competition, it's hard to say, because, context is necessary. First, in reality, the players that faced Jordan were pretty good, they have acolites that proof that they are recognized as great basketball players, and also, they have a lot statistical elements to present their capability as players, the reason we don't recognize them, like in the video was said is because they never won the NBA championship, and that is a very important point, like it or not, players or teams that never won get forgotten, even in other things related with history, wars, economics, cultural advancement, etc, the winners mark history and memories. Second, the technology and the process of evolution of the game is a very important factor that we don't consider, the Warriors were a very strong team, and the players now have a lot of advantage in comparison with teams in the early 90's and 80's, not only because of the new gyms, trainings, shoes, clothes and medicine, but also because they learn from the past with videos, so the players on today's world have an advantage of seeing, learning and driving to perfection abilities, skills and plays of the better teams and players of the past (they have more background to play with).Third, in relationship with this last point, the structure of the game now is very different. In todays basketball and when the Warriors were the that amazing team, defense started to be diminished by the new rules, so it's hard to say how good they would be against teams that had stronger defense. In the same way, better players would be joining to the NBA because of the factors already addressed in the point of tech. Also the mentality was different, Jordan didn't wan to play with Malone, Stocktone and Pippen in the same team, or something like that, the idea was to beat the best, not joining the best just to win, so, what would it happened if the Warriors were on that period or the opposite?, the mentality of KD would be different and not join the Warriors? would the mentality of MJ would be different joining the best players in the game instead of just playing with good players (and Pippen) instead of three or four exceptional players?
So I think that the question is tricky to answer. I think even impossible really.
On the other point, I think that you feel that he is hating on Lebron because he is speaking on flaws on Lebron's game, so, nobody likes when someone talks about your own flaws or flaws of your loved ones or the ones that you admire. But that is related with learning to accept critics and compliments.
In the other point, you asked, does it matter? (in the point of being a better shooter), yep, it matters because the analysis that is made is "how good Lebron is on all areas of the game, in this case, shooting, and shooting is not the same as dunking or using layups, so yeah, it matters for the topic that were addressed.
Finally, yeah, I don't like the last part of the video, I think it's overblown, but in defense of the idea, it gave the idea of why so many people thinks that MJ is the GOAT, because the idea is that even if Lebron is an awesome player, he is not doing all the things that Jordan did, and that makes him very impressive, it's like out of this world his career. And that's why the title it's "The Greatest Player Of All Time", because you need to very "picky" and to remark things that are very unique, that can fill the acolite of the GOAT.
In my personal thought even with this remarkable things of MJ, I think that the idea of the GOAT is to idealize and romanticize a player and an era, I don't like it, I prefer to think of "GOATs" if that is possible to say or "GOEE" hahahahaha because I think this should be think as players and eras. But anyways, sorry for the long message.
Quick question is now a days defense bad or is the offense so good that it obliterates the defenses now?
@@Acloud1 Check out videos about the topic, it's very interesting because, 1, the change of the rules are a big factor on this discussion, 2, for example, a CZcams channel put this idea that is because offense is too good because of the development of new strategies, bodies (in the training, gym etc), tech and so on, but, there you have a big problem, wouldn't be the same for defense, if there is so much to learn from old big couches and players, and new tech and new ways to train on the offense, why is not happening on the defense? Why defense didn't developed and became more strong to avoid the ridiculous numbers on today's game? Check out the rules, the changes, the interviews, like the one that Koby Bryant gave about basketball and the direction towards offense that was created. You have a lot of different proofs that demonstrate that is very clear, todays NBA is searching to avoid the type of games of the 80's and early 90's and to create a spectacle that is based on the idea of offense, putting rules that diminish defensive style games.
@@Acloud1 defenses are just that bad!
@@Acloud1 hehe quick extra information, have you seen the All-Star game of this year hahahaha I can't think on a better proof on how trashy defense is now a days.
It's a far less physical game now compared to the Jordan era & the game is tailored for offense. Two completely different times in the sport but I can guarantee Jordan would've murdered the current NBA with his work ethics & probably lasted much longer too. Which is why Jordan is & will probably always be the GOAT 🐐.
