I bought this in a bargain bin, couldn’t beat that one part, so i gave it to my friend, who eventually beat the game and gave it back-and usually my friends don’t give back things.
You know it's bad when someone doesn't even "forget" to give something back
I think Matt just likes this game considering how much time he's spent playing and talking about this.
I like it too. Despite its faults, I can't help but like it.

This seems more Ride to Hell than Grand Theft Auto.
For anyone wondering, the game looks cropped because, from what I can tell, the Xbox version’s widescreen was implemented via the -vert method ie. by enlarging the image, then cutting off the top and bottom portions of the screen.
This means you actually have a smaller field of view than when playing in 4:3 mode. So if you do get this game on the Xbox, make sure the console’s internal settings have TV mode set to ‘normal.’
I also noticed the button prompt for the Back button wasn’t changed to match the Xbox controller; it’s actually the same as the PS2 version’s Select button.
It's not a great port. But my PS2 disc was scratched and wouldn't boot.

Thanks for pointing this out. Was going to myself but good that you're right on it. Like you said, if anyone wants to play this game comfortably visually, then they need to switch the settings to 4:3 at the Xbox's dashboard before putting the game in. I don't know how it goes on backwards compatible platforms, but I wouldn't recommend playing on those for a myriad of other issues. You'll know if it's on the wrong setting if during the intro sequence, Handsome Bob's face is cut out of frame during his title card. The visual quality is night and day between the two settings.
Oh my god, the writing in this is straight out of south park, except you're supposed to take it seriously.
Took me till 22:04 but I realised Kyle sounds exactly like someone trying to do David Hayter Solid Snake.

Okay I have to admit, this is one Hell of a guilty pleasure of mine.
Found it like a year ago or so and after all the bad reviews I was expecting absolutely nothing. And well I was decently surprised, I had a lot of fun while it lasted.
I think the latest inclusion of Poison and Lucia in addition to Abigail, Zeku and Cody in SFV is something of a celebratory acknowledgement of Final Fight and its ties to Street Fighter. Though the addition of the Final Fight roster to Capcom fighting games isn't really anything new, but at least this latest addition is something.

Doctor Pazuzu I thought he was trying to do a poor impersonation of Steve Blum, but you're right. It sounds more like David Hayter. Honestly, I always get the two mixed up, even though I know their voices enough to differentiate. They both have a very gravelly delivery.

I remember having a lot of fun playing this game, then I found out that most people hated it... I can understand why but still was fun to me, the combat is pretty cool!

I’m gonna give Streetwise this, I like Kyle’s design.
Granted, if he was used in Tekken, Virtua Fighter, or Dead or Alive instead, he’d likely be more fitting to those universes in my opinion. Especially now that Tekken has a guy that looks like if Baki and Kengan Ashura had sex with Fist of the North Star. Still better fitting than Diego the Travis Touchdown knockoff From DOA6.
Streetwise was legit my first PS2 game. I still love this piece of jank with satisfying parts.
I"m surprised that you skipped the part that it's heavily implied that Cody slept with the fortune teller which is how she got his apartment key. lol
This wasn't a good game but i still had fun with it.
I could actually see a Final Fight game like this working. But instead of modeling it after GTA, they should have taken influence from Yakuza.
to be fair, Yakuza was barely a thing when this came out. And was initially a sales disasters in NA.
@@MattMcMuscles very true. But if they took a second crack at an open world type Final Fight, I wouldn't mind it being in the same vein as Yakuza.

I think it's great that Kyle is cannon to the SF universe since his profile is in the Database lol this was a good game despite how it was treated.

It's weird how their eyes are awkwardly cut off by the top black border half the time in the cut scenes. Anyone else notice that? It's like the cinematic borders weren't originally supposed to be there when they were making those scenes.
That's because it was never there originally. It's a lazy shortcut to make the Xbox port "widescreen". Put it in 4:3 and it's LOADS better.

I love Final Fight Streetwise, it's not a good game but it's just one of those terrible games that I love because of how goofy it is. Just like Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance.
Why do people think this game was supposed to be serious? It's a parody of tough guy movies. At least, that's how we wrote it.

I remember I got this for PS2 back in the day. I think it was a cool game at the time. Yeah a bit too dark the colors and it seemed pretty short but it had it's good sides + you were able to purchase real music in the game. I remember purchasing that Soulfly - Riotstarter. Good times

You know, despite this being another example of publishers ruining their titles in the name of appealing to "extreme" Western audiences, I had fun with this game. The writing, story, and the character design are all incredibly generic, but I found some of the gameplay to be enjoyable.

I fucking love this game, it's fun as FUCK and has some good combat. I wish it didn't shit itself at the end and wish the story was less... try hard. Still, glad I gave this game a shot when I was younger and formed my own view on it.
Still can't recommend tho lol
For me the story is so tryhard it wraps around to being silly. And the core is rock solid, as Seven Sons promised to be.

I actually had to look it up, and no, it's not. Because that might make the game a little better, but apparently that's not what Capcom was going for.
Apparently the VA was an artist who worked on the game and not a proper voice actor since the development was so fucked. He did a good job considering the situation haha

Damn good job. One of the things I like the most about this pudding of bad development is Kyle's voice.

Man this game was such a let down, I was really pulling for a new 3D gritty Final Fight but it was more Mayor Hager literally starting a war on crime or somethign

oh god please dont do a full playthrough of this garbage ass final fight game (edit) actually i take it back this game is actually really good like this game is pretty awesome the combat and the free roam etc but it does has some major problems and i can kinda see why most people hated it but imagine if they made a new final fight game like this but way better
