I actually went fishing yesterday but I did not catch anything. Not a single species. Our office is close Friday and Monday for the Memorial Day weekend. Today, I caught 5 Pompanos but only two were keepers. I decided to keep some of my blue runners for my lunch/dinner. Blue runners are biting and millions of big greenbacks.
Nice catch!!!!…meet you yesterday got myself 4 snappers..2 of em are more than 14 inches the rest 11 and 12 🙂
It was a great pleasure meeting you at the Skyway Bridge South Pier yesterday Jon. You have to teach me how to catch those Snappers. Great job!
Sayang tito na holug pa yung nahuli mu😂
Sarap ng pompano kuya! Where in the south skyway was that?
I mostly caught them in the south side of the Skyway pier between number 19-22 to your left when you come in to the pier. You would also try the right side. As soon as I paid my entrance fee, I always try first the left side of the shallow area, from number 4-8 for maybe 30 minutes and if nothing there, I go to my favorite spot between number 19-22. Hope that helps. Good luck!
@@AntonioSolangon salamat po kuya!
You're welcome! Pompanos are more active in the afternoon than early in the morning. If you need some Pompano jigs and teasers I have some. I still have dozens of them that I purchased from Walmart. Hindi ko na ginagamit. Medyo maliliit at hindi mabigat.
@@AntonioSolangon what weight do you use? 3/8 or 1/2 oz ang recommended daw?
@@christodor4784 I am using my custom made jig I made out of my Pompano jig mold I purchased from Etsy.com. I believe I am using 11g and 14g.
