What happens when Fish & Wildlife Warden shows up under the bridge and sees Jake’s Chill-N-Reel

- While we were doing a live broadcast for Chill-N-Reel (chillnreel.com) under a bridge in the Florida Keys, a couple of Fish and Wildlife wardens popped in for a quick check. We couldn't believe what happened when they noticed that Jake is fishing with a koozie that had a handline reel attached. Get yours at chillnreel.com.

FWC has some of the most chill officers I have ever met. Not one complaint.
Yeah they do , I've noticed in multiple states they give alot of warnings , only write up 1 ticket when there's been 2 offences etc... & they have powers like police & pull you over for driving offences , warrants etc... but don't unless it's pretty serious
It’s because it’s not really a power control job like being a cop, most people with power trips who can become cops & if they can’t they become security or murders.

@Sippin’ juice for life FWC has full police powers and statewide jurisdiction. They patrol rural, wilderness, and inshore and offshore areas and are often the sole law enforcement presence in many remote parts of the state. They can write traffic violations and work often with Coast Guard teams for search and rescues. They don't mess around. Don't let the name fool ya
I worked with the Fish and Wildlife Service in the conservation corps, and they were great people. It doesn’t pay very well, and is extremely difficult to get into so you know anyone who is in their position, truly wants to be there and, most often than not, is passionate about their work.
Pays pretty well lol. They give you a paid for truck, AR, sidearm, hunting and fishing license, ATV, boat etc. You don't do it to get rich, but I wouldn't say they "don't get paid very well" by any means. Money isn't the only pay. My neighbor sits in an office all day staring at walls...I see a different tree every 5 seconds. 🤷♂️ FL and grateful

@thatweekzz Fish and game is a state law enforcement agency, they're responsible for making sure citizens are properly and legally harvesting game. The reason they have so much power is because they're jobs usually involve them interacting with people that are armed or have weapons easily accessible. They don't need a warrant to search your property if they believe you've been in violation of state wildlife regulations. They can seize any property used in an illegal harvest of wildlife. In Florida you can legally drink in public while fishing or on a beach, the law may state different, but the majority of the time as long as your not absolutely loaded and are still functional and coherent no FWC Officer is going to cause you any trouble, they are primarily there to make sure you are abiding by fishing regulation and are legally fishing, not to fuck you over if you are drinking a couple of beers with some buddies while baiting a couple of hooks. Never had a bad run in with the fwc always very respectful 🙏
Respect for the FWC officers here in Florida, I’ve never had a bad encounter with them. I’ve had quite a few encounters with them and they have always been respectful. I’ve lived here my whole life and grew up fishing and hunting, most encounters have been out on the boat and I’ve never been worried about anything, for one, because I don’t do illegal shit when it comes to fishing/hunting. You don’t mess around with breaking the law when it comes to that kinda stuff. I’ve seen a lot more FWC officers out on the water over the past few years, I’m guessing it’s because of the idiots moving here that buy boats and have absolutely no experience on the water. We need to pass a law that makes out of state residents and first time boat owners take a in person class on boater safety and boating operation. I’ve seen some absolute dumb asses on the water as well as the boat ramp ever since the masses started to migrate here and contribute to the destruction of some of the most beautiful forests/eco systems to live in one of these new cookie cutter developments that construct homes with the cheapest materials and labor available that sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars over the actual value. Some of these people are going to be really upset if the market crashes and their interest rates sky rocket and home values plummet.
Hopefully they leave too im tired of them migrating here and ruining my small towns

These peoples jobs were founded solely on making sure people aren’t overkilling the population of what they’re hunting or fishing… not regulating equipment…
Welllllll, I mean if are tossing dynamite; hunting moose with a .22, etc, etc
Equipment can be misused in a number of ways, including but not limited to over harvesting and or injuring wildlife.
Their job is to also stop people from abusing wildlife via abusing equipment regardless of intent.
How would they stop overfishing if people are free to just go and poison a pond with hickory nuts or something? What about a gill net strung across an entire river where not permitted?
Or just making sure every penny is collected from anybody that threatens to have a good time 😂
