🇹🇬🇹🇬this is what I'm saying since a couple of years that I'm trying to understand Nigeria. I noticed that igbos are very brilliant, pro-africans, pro-black, best in business, educated, united..and I asked myself why don't these guys develop southeast ?! I even wonder sometimes if the nigerian political elite that runs this country is not afraid of the igbos. I feel like some individuals in the northern elite are afraid of reprisals if the igbos come to power, because of what they did to them during the war. That’s why today namdi kanu is still locked up, look at the judges of the Supreme Court. It's like they will prefer to give power to a cat than to recognize the victory (rejected now) of an igbo in the presidential election, the yoruba could improve their condition but do not realize that they are used. Don’t you see the hypocrisy surrounding these questions? All these false pretences are useless, as a neutral person in the history of Nigeria.... The basis on which Nigeria operates, the constitution, is not even fair at the moment : so what more do you want to accomplish? Develop your region and be a model for Africa you have everything you need to get there. But obviously all this is just my opinion 🤷🏿‍♂️ (sorry english is not my language 😂 I'm not fluent yet)

The Igbo community is predominantly known for their involvement in trading rather than substantial investments in manufacturing. Interestingly, the two largest investors in Lagos are not Igbo but rather Hausas from Kano. Their combined investments surpass those made by Igbos. However, these individuals do not boast about their contributions to building Lagos. Many Yorubas and members of other tribes also have companies and investments in Lagos without making excessive claims about their role in creating the city. It's worth noting that the entire Igbo land is smaller in size compared to Oyo State, making it potentially easier to develop if the Igbo community directed their efforts towards its advancement instead of engaging in unproductive debates about assisting others in developing their own land. This highlights the importance of focusing on priorities effectively.
Many ibos came with nothing to Lagos but made something from Lagos. Hence its Lagos that made them not them making Lagos.

These were educated, westernised, highly skilled individuals. Lagos' historical record is intact. It can never be altered by people who came in thousands to take advantage of the free education system of Awolowo in the 80s and came in mass in the 90s. Think of warri now part of Delta state in the 50s or Benin Port Harcourt Enugu or Onitsha was doing well until they stop Port Harcourt see and air Port international movement even the graet Benin City have the same faith warri have a good sea port nd Sapele also.
In all this years when Nigeria was called the giant of Africa this cities was doing extremely well this are the days leadership position is by competence and character not tribalism or religion
      Ibadan
      Benin
      Port Harcourt
      Enugu
      Warri
      Kaduna
      Aba
      Lagos
      Calabar
Etc was the pillars that kept the nation on the run.
Immediately after the war a great blockade started in the east till now Port Harcourt and Benin see or air Port is not allowed to function like others in Abuja or Lagos. Benin don't have sea port Thou but warri do have.
Major military installations is still in kaduna and they re still building more, but the east was denied so many things
Till date but the people from the east are still striving till date
Keep d leadership aside let port Harcourt see and airport be working internationally

So shameful that a man of this status could talk this way.
Lagos had been the capital of Nigeria for years and most of developments you see today were done by the colonial masters before independence because majority of them were residing in the capital city, they laid the foundations for most infrastructures you see today in many capital cities of the country and made commerce to thrive, the Lebanese were not also left out, they were into textiles and also the Indians. All these make lagos particularly to be a bubbling Commercial city. Igbos did not develop anything, they just saw an already fertile land in most cities of the country and they too started their businesses. People still have sense of history in this country, please stop all these common but unfounded claim that igbos developed anywhere. You are falsely claiming you developed lagos but you cannot develop you own land why? Does this sound sensible?
You can only say this to fools.

Are you honestly saying that you don't know those who are responsible for the killings of our innocent youths throughout the Southeast? If anyone is sincere, about the plights of Ndigbo in one Nigeria, then what stopped them from releasing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu? WHAT WE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT IS THAT NIGERIANS BUILT NIGERIA. However, I was talking in the context of attributing the CREATION of Lagos to the Igbos or refusing to accept that Lagos is built by NIGERIANS. However, we should still respect the indigenous people of that land. No Egun, Awori, Egba, Benin, Ijebus, ijaws...etc who are the indigenous people though of the Yoruba extraction. The narrative of a superior tribe and rubbing off of others' faces will not help the unity of Nigeria.

I see many pple condemning chief Nwodos stand but the fact remains that most remote villages in Nigeria and many west African states has igbos living and doing businesses in those places. Yes those places has done well to to have allowed igbos to live and work but lets be honest in some issues. No matter the hatred in you try and be in the shoes of the igbos to understand their predicaments

Nigeria has been breast fed, and still enjoying the baby feeding bottles of the Igbos for too long. Weaning Nigeria from igbo breast is disastrous.
Igbos bring the bread, butter , cheese ,milk and honey to the table while others show up for breakfast with little or nothing and over feed themselves with impunity acting as if nothing is wrong.
You don't want the Igbos and you don't want them to break away.
Nigeria please make up your mind to what exactly you want.
Igbos are the backbone and corner pillars sustaining Nigeria. The day the Igbos leaves, Nigeria is comatose .

It’s very simple why can’t the governs and federal government give the south east development. We see so much development in west and north but they don’t give any major developing the south east. Nor is the east have a working seaport everything comes out from Lagos. Let the development come to East open the seaports and give us electricity give the whole of Nigeria electricity. One Nigeria should give development to all regions. Then we will see who is in Lagos.

I am from the South south, akwaibom is building a seaport, same with delta, same with river state and we are only five states in the south south and three governors are already raising seaport. While you are here crying that the FG should build it for you. Why don't your 5 southeastern states contribute money together and build one seaport. Lazy humabeings whom.always go around thinkng anyone owes you something while no one owes you nothing. You get monthly allocations from the FG every month, go and develope your state and leave the FG alone in peace. What a people.

I think use to be a capital city of Nigeria. People go to Lagos for green pasture. I could remember in 1970s when my mother in law and her husband was transferred to 1st Bank Enugu, the local refused to sell land to the Yorubas. Why is that?, Go to any Yoruba land you will see a lot Igbo land owner. Yoruba are the most detribalize ethnic group in Nigeria. I was from Akoko in Ondo state, Igbo are given land to farm , build and do what ever they want, I bet you will hardly sees that in the East. Hausa/ Fulani and Yoruba did not beg the easterners to come to their land, they all came for green pasture. They are a lot of easterners that benefited from western Nigeria free education during Awo era and Yoruba did not complained about that.
Easterners are their own worse enemies, a lot of Igbo leaders did not supported Peter Obi in the last election while Afenifere was fully supported him and jettisoned Tinubu.
