I’ve given up on the rates lol... I’ve done 80 Darkrai and still no shiny, I did three Virizion and got the shiny... In my doesn’t matter opinion, I feel it’s pure luck... Keep up the great work Sir! You’re awesome!

The Slugma shiny rate might actually be accurate. My friends and I have each caught 800+ Slugma with no shiny at all

Yeah, I'm sorry, but I caught 3 shiny Slugma on my own as well...
Well... It might actually be that my luck with Slugma isn't the best. There are instances where I've caught shinies in my first 10 Pokémon for normal catches and first legendary encounters. My first Pinsir and Onix were shinies and I've caught several other shinies in very few tries (3 shiny Oddish in -100 encounters, shiny Woobat in -200 & a shiny Wailmer in -100). I have always been lucky with shiny encounters. encounters, so Slugma's case is an odd one for me.
@@xperiafan5370 I've always been really lucky with shinies as well! I guess with some pokemon it just happens and with others it doesn't. I try not to question it, it's more fun that way. :)

I was level 27 when i got my first "valid" shiny (not a guaranteed shiny nor a community day boosted shiny), it was a shadow shiny Bagon. Literally the next Pokémon i clicked which was a Bulbasaur it was also shiny. It was around a week ago.

Every pokemon is one in a million lol. Even that 3/4/0 eevee you caught last year is one in a million happening. 100% has the same odds of appearing as any other spawn. In essence every spawn is "rare" lol
I managed to catch a hundo pidgey on 21st July, 2021. Two days later I caught a shiny pidgey. Then I caught a nundo on the 12th August, 2021.
I was going to throw them until a friend said that those odds were pretty good. Not sure if that's true as I'm new to Pokemon.
Only started in March last year but about to be level 41.
I've managed to collect two shiny pikachu's after around 200 or so of them.
My friend has seen almost 1800 Pikachu and hasn't seen one shiny.
I keep wishing him good luck but he thinks Niantic knows he wants a shiny and is hiding them on him. I'm not sure why he hasn't got one yet as he grinds so bloody hard for them and hasn't been successful at all in the four years he has been playing.
Hopefully he can get a shiny Pikachu this Saturday. I'll be so damn happy for him.
Sorry. He just told me it's closer to 3000 seen Pikachu.

yeah I trust silph way more then the other site, and the 1/125 rate is a real thing they sometimes use it during events for wild pokemon kricketot was 1/125 during its release event.
I have shinny RegiRock and regiIce on 2nd raid.
After that registeel none I stopped at 16 for deoxys it came back in attack form 1st raid.

Honestly, I've noticed that if you catch like 150ish pokemon for a few days, and check like 300ish pokemon. That (eventually) almost like clock work, you end up seeing a shiny Pokémon.
Through my experience playing, if i go about 3 days without seeing a shiny, and i've caught a good bit of Pokémon (usually like, a day or two after spotlight hour) I then only click on mons that i don't have a shiny of, or if i want another shiny of a mon i like.
It is a tactic that has worked for me very well. I even did it today, and it worked just like always. 👍

Now that makes sense as to shiny odds. C Day is the best way to go shiny hunting if that’s what you want. I noticed a difference when it came to encountering shiny PKMN. Raids have the best odds. I get more shiny PKMN in raids than in the wild non c days. Since Shadow Bagon is back I was lucky to get even 1 shiny and see here that its odds are super low which makes sense.Shadow Bagon is also super extremely difficult to get with 90+ IVs the shiny version is the most difficult so Silph Road’s information is correct and very close to my own experience. I destroyed Arlo so many times I didn’t even care to count anymore. Yet encountered 1 shiny and 1 90+ IV Shadow Bagon. It’s definitely the most difficult shadow PKMN to get IV or shiny wise. I’m so glad I’m not a shiny hunter who does nothing but collect shiny PKMN. If I get it I get it, if not, it ain’t the end of the world if I don’t. I don’t even care much for shiny PKMN yet just randomly encounter them. I guess this is what I get for not caring about shinies. Everyone else I know who wants these shinies can’t get them. LOL

My guess is mega pidgey because there are more mons spawning for that type. But what would be worth it for either pvp, raids, or both

I started PoGo back in March of last year. I battle Jessie and while half asleep I get the Shiny Scyther and instead of keeping it or even checking it's IV's I bloody get rid of it
When I went to look the next morning I couldn't find it.
My friend starts laughing as I go over the events and we figure out I've transferred it to the professor.
Boy was I mad at myself. Now it's a great laugh...and constant reminder to never battle while half asleep...🤣🤣🤣

Also bro you told shiny odds are not encounter based but it is like some pokemons are limited that they are not available in wild like espurr which was available in raids or research encounter so its rates will be average of 1/64 but there are cases that some player will have it rate in 1/200 but these are very rare

I have battled over 400 rocket grunts and leaders.... 5 shadow shinys 2 arboks from jessie 1 pinco from arlo 1 pinsir from james and one 1 aerodactly from leader cliff...

I’ve had insane luck with these recent Deoxys raids, so far I have caught the Normal, Attack and Defence forms as the Speed form isn’t in raids yet.
For all three of the current forms I have captured from raids I have caught 2 of that form. The first one of each form has ALWAYS been shiny and the second one was normal.
I thought there was something else going on, like something in the event affecting the shiny odds. But it seems they’re 1/20, so on my first encounter for all three forms so far I have got a shiny.
Let’s pray for shiny Speed form on my first encounter too.

I got 5 shiny Zigzagoon in 60 encounters in 90min. I also got 2 shiny braviary after 2 raids. One right after the other. I would say it's random.
Just yesterday I caught shiny Jynx with decent IV.

Honestly niantic is always messing with the circles for catching pokemon so I don't doubt they would change the shiny odds to make them some money. I remember glameow and magikarp changing their circles like 3 or 4 times. Magikarp is their favorite to change circles for some reason
Even nowadays way I look at it is u can go 1 week without 1 shiny and then today I got 2 random encounter shinies plus 2 incense boosted shinies. Really is heads or tails every time u click on a spawn

A buddy and I used to walk community day together and we used to get the same shinnies all the time, and I have a theory, what if it’s a timing thing. Meaning on community day, say every 5 min (as an example) you have a chance to get a shiny, but you have to actually click the Pokémon in question at that second, 4:59 or 5:01 and it doesn’t count, it’s probably down to milliseconds… and during non event times the length of times is greater, say 1 in 10 hours and if you miss your millisecond for the day you get nothing that day, timing could very depending on events and specific pokemon. I’m not sure how you could test it, but it’s a theory I’ve never heard or seen explored.
Considering I've found five shinies in an hour one day, outside of any events, I don't think that's true.

Dude compared to the main series, the shiny rates in Go are absolutely insane. Even compared to some of the better rates like the Masuda method and shiny charm, Go’s base shiny odds is just nuts.

Zero, machop is not in the encounter pool from grunts unless machop is the lead.
You can check which shadow pokemon can and cannot be caught on silphco's website. Just type in something like "which shadow pokemon can I catch right now".
And he is right. Right now shadow machop is not a pokemon you can catch at the moment. At the moment the only fighting type shadow pokemon you can catch are shadow hitmonchan and shadow hitmonlee.

the amount of encounters is the sample size
For the numel thing it isn't 0/0. 0/0 is undefined. You should just put 0%
