Great information my dude! I was literally looking for this type of video exactly! You got all of the specific areas of concern covered phenomenally!
Good video. I will point out a few things though that are not accurate. So first off if you have a gaming laptop, chances are you have a built in webcam capable of at least 720p. This will be smoother and take less resources versus the phone trick you showed. Also, you can use all these things directly through OBS without using Nvidias software, using both just eats CPU/GPU and system RAM.
I like the phone trick better because I could position it the way I want and my WebCam doesn’t point me. I play off my TV and then laptops is parallel to that.

i have an xbox and headset but is an external mic still necessary? also i just purchased an asus zephyrusas M16 with the I9 intel and a nvidia 3070 with 32gig ram 2tb ssd and could i stream from this and do editing all from this one machine with tweaking of course. any info would be appreciated as i have run into some health issues and want to try and possably make a little side gig along with some other venues i have in mind. You can probably pull 1080p60 on nvenc encoder from 3080 ez

Can you stream with an AMD Radeon?
Yes you should be able to, but you won’t have access to things like Nvidia broadcast, and the encoder in those cards aren’t as good as the nvenc one
So gpu 1650 ti won’t work, got it

1.) Legion 5 pro 3060
Or
2.) Gephyrus g15 3060.
For streaming and gaming
The legion should give you better performance, but it has a worse screen and a much bulkier form factor. Both are decent laptops though

Headset Mics don't come anywhere near a dedicated mic when it comes to audio quality

@@ymplayzz8982 no, it will still be the same quality no matter what computer you use. But if you’re just starting out, do whatever you can afford and work up from there :)
Depends on the headset. The Corsair Virtuoso SE and XT mics are broadcast quality and said amazing. But if you can’t afford a premium ($200+) then use what you can.
