Sorry I couldn’t give you the answer you wanted. I have a 4 year old asus tuf that works perfectly for streaming, it’s a 16gb 1050TI, I7. Should be able to get one for roughly £300-400

@@MidnightMan yes it does but it can also work better for a budget setup especially if you still got PS4 n Xbox one you can run 1280x 720 to get a little better performance

Same, my old 2012 MacBook Pro is really starting to crap itself I need to take it apart and put an SSD in it, I'll never get rid of it because nothings glued down and has all the ports and disc drive. I still use CDs.
Thank you for this video I had this issue today while trying to setup my 4k60 s+ it records but looks choppy lol now I know I need to upgrade to a better computer can’t thank you enough! Any tips as to why my chat link setup makes my recording gameplay audio sound like it’s echoing or is jumbled and sounds like robot noises overtop of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated I’ve tried everything in your videos as far as I’m aware in regards to the setup and settings(Xbox series x)

Wow been looking for a video and you'res is perfect I bought a 200 $ hp lptp from Walmart hoping it would stream but now I know it will never work thank you so much this video helped out so much time to buy a better pc
Only thing I have going for me is a Dell Inspiron 13 5000, but based off this video I guess it will be no different than the HP laptop you used
I think these are o.k. for watching CZcams & basic programs when running Windows 11 but that's about it. The little Celeron 6 watts processor really struggles at anything more demanding. I found that an Internet speed test went twice as fast when using Xubuntu 22.04 than W11. These run like a dream on Linux Mint 21 or Xubuntu 22.04. If you're running W11, d.l. a linux iso, & use the Rufus program to create a linux usb thumb drive.

I bought the N4140 CPU one of these. It can run far cry 2 well (low setting) plus some older games. In other words. I am happy with it.

if you are using OBS on a low end pc (i3 and lower) make sure to use Intel QSV as it will greatly improve performance

For this, in your advanced settings, make sure you have your YUV color range set to “full” and not partial

It has Win 10 pro, an I7-5600U CPU @ 2.6ghz, 16gb ram and 1tb HD. Would that be ok for streaming and what would be the best setting recommended? I use Wirecast for my software.

I know this is two years old (when I’m seeing this) but your obs settings was very wrong. I’m not an expert but if you switch it to advanced settings. You can change up the settings more. Plus it might not be good for recording but streaming might do better since it’s not trying to record to the hdd.
My friend has a hd60 s+ and will be probably streaming 1080p 120hz. What laptop specs or laptop in general is best for that? Is it the same 4 or more cores with 8gb for this vid or is it different

I think it might be my computer it’s self. I have a ps4 and game capture card that runs to my computer. Ive done tons of different stuff the recommended resolution and frames that Obs says to use is 480p 30fps . If I do that and get on my twitch or try recording gameplay it still lags and just doesn’t work . What’s the cheapest laptop do you recommend for me to have 1080p 60fps
The gateway laptop I mention at the end of this video, but 60fps may be pushing it. I would get the gaming laptop mentioned if you want the best quality.

Why didn't you use the Quicksync hardware encoder? The x264 software encoder pulls resources from your CPU

Why stream with the processor when you have QSV available? I mean, it's not that good, but for a capture device, it will be more than enough.
Tried all the encoders, this machine is inadequate
