- With constant driveshaft issues from the Element Enduro 24 I decided to find an alternative. Give it some new wheels and tires and see what happens!

I'm hooked !!I started with the yellow jeep, and I got my C10 yesterday !! I've already done quite a few mods to the jeep, and my box of Hot Racing upgrades arrived while I was watching this video !!My Jeep I'm going right to the end, upgrading almost all of it. The C-10 is staying stock, so can compare. My indoor course is well on its way ( styrofoam, plaster cloth and some real rock ) Keep up the good work !!

Same thing happened to me on my Enduro24 Trailrunner. Thats why I'm here!
You could try putting a neodymium magnet on the screwdriver to help hold the small screws from falling off on the end of the screwdriver.
Keep your magnetic parts tray next to you and rub your driver on it every couple screws. Very helpful with these small screws.

You need the ecx 1/24 barrage bearing kit from horizon hobby. Replaces all but new transfer case bearings but fixes the binding in driveline!
With all that I have going on with the scx24 this thing just sits on the shelf now lol. Maybe someday I’ll give it some more love. I’ve had metal driveshafts from Banggood for it for a good month or so now and haven’t even installed them 🤦🏻♂️

Had same issue with the pinion shaft moving in/ out but scx24 has one flat side and sendero24 has two flat side on out put shafts that's why they don't fit I try and learned something new.
Stoked on the upgrades! The ford body is cool!
My wifes cr24 defender, a downgraded enduro 24 essentially came in. It needed some tweaking out of the box but i think if i run it stock with a lighter body it will be pretty ok.

I had never heard of anyone have driveshaft issues. I have beat the living shit out of mine and yet to make a single change to it.
Are you running 2s? Bigger tires? As soon as I did those things, anytime it was in a bind something would give.
@@2fmrc 2s lipo, and bone stock. Its been out crawling my scx10ii with a bunch of upgrades.
@@Rocketman442-RC yeah it had big issues with the bigger tires. I put wranglers on it at first and it would pop the axle in a second if I put it in any real tight situation. I’m glad yours works well. The pumpkins on mine would hang on everything! It had no chance against my scx24s. Mostly because of the pumpkins and it wouldn’t stay together. I hated it. Sold it and haven’t missed it a second. It basically ruined element for me. Not sure I could own one now after having that thing. People usually either love or hate the e24. I’ve seen a few say they really love it but I’ve seen about a thousand say they hated it. But that’s in scx24 groups so maybe it’s just fanboys lol. Really glad you’ve had good luck with yours. It seemed like it could be a good crawler. I just couldn’t handle the craftsmanship of it. I had scx24 front axles and driveshafts in it by the time I sold it and it did a little better but I didn’t like the diffs being so huge and the chassis mounted servo drove me nuts. It’s a good thing in some situations but not for me.
@@Rocketman442-RC I lost my driveshaft on my first drive with stock setup. Should have watched these videos first but you can't find SCX24s anywhere
13:14 I find it easier to mount the tire to the wheel *after* mounting the wheel hub to the axle. So... Hub and back wheel part on the truck(nut on), and truck laying on it's side. Then put the ring in the tire and assemble it directly to the truck with the screws.
You ain't kidding! Damn drivetrain is binding-up so bad in those axles. should make another video taking them apart to find out where the binding is coming from.
And where did you get that weight bias multi-pad scale? That is sweet!
BRS RC I think the binding is coming from there being no bearings. Bushings suck! If I get the truck running well enough and holding up for a bit I’ll invest the money to swap to bearings throughout. I’m betting it’s 10x smoother afterwards! I actually bought the scale off of eBay. It’s a little pricey ($90-100)but a sweet tool for any rc fanatic like myself lol
All RC vehicles have mishaps here or there but at the end of the day the Element 24 is designed much better than the scx24, with a forward motor mount & transfer case w/ pinion & spur gear actual 1:1 axles housings, Id much rather have that with free spinning wheels vs a worm gear which is basically something use in elevators to go up & down or in manufacturing companies for machines etc, How often do we see 10th scale crawlers running worm gears ( correct, Never) & youd never see a 1:1 with a worm gear lol ! it amazes me all the whining over the 1/24th scale enduro when in fact with minimal upgrades, wheels, stronger motor $12 bucks, etc it's hands down the better truck in every facet !! 👍🏼
Yeah I like the design with no worm gears etc but as soon as I put bigger wheels and tires on it with a 2s battery everything on it was breaking lol. I’ve run 3s on a stock Scx24 and never broke anything! I’ll take that all day. At this scale the worm gears really don’t hurt anything anyway. Just make for better slow crawl honestly. I’m never a fan of the battery in the back either. I’d give 5 of the enduros away before I’d give up 1 of my scx24s lol. It’s all personal preference though really. Nice to have options!

Danny Johnson thanks! I really appreciate it. I bought a couple of these off eBay but they also have them at hobby lobby. Harbor freight also has some that are a bit smaller for tighter spots.

Danny Johnson no prob! Hopefully they have the size you need. Last time our closest hobby lobby (30 miles away) was out of them. They had much larger and some tiny ones. Usually they have some similar though. I’m running the smaller ones from harbor freight on my Jeep and it works fine. Just not quite as strong. Never had the body move while crawling but you can’t lift the truck by the body like you can the bigger ones. Also be careful glueing them because shoe goo and some glue will discolor the paint all the way through the body. It did on my C10. Left a funky mark on the hood on the outside.
I noticed you put the battery from the SCX-24 in there as well in this video do you have to worry about that 2S frying anything on the Enduro also I put the swampers on my enduro and they work pretty well with no modifications I did put them on a set of beadlocks I bought from a local hobby shop I believe they come from RC four-wheel drive works pretty well.
It won’t fry the electronics but the throttle is very jumpy on 2s. It’s just not a very good esc so the throttle response isn’t the best. When you increase the power it gets even worse.

@@2fmrc Modded the steering to get more shock travel, Run 2s lipo for power, Trimmed body and bumper to clear the bigger tires. I haven't added weight yet but I'm gonna have to.
@@jamesflory159 soon as I put 2s in mine it broke the driveshaft. Changed that to an scx24 shaft. Then I snapped a front axle and swapped it to an scx24 axle. Couldn’t handle the horrible throttle response and didn’t wanna spend the money to change the esc so I just sold it.
I haven’t had an issue with the drive shaft yet.

Awesome video 👍 All that resistance in the drivetrain can't be helping the driveshaft issues.. I have a pair scx24s I'm working on. Right now I'm Looking for some hardbody options. One is my trai rig/ hauler, others going comp style low n wide. Keep up the good work man! ✌️✌️
Those driveshafts are for which specific scx24? Having difficulty looking for the Enduro24 here where I live. But there are tons for the scx24.
Do they make metal ring and pinion gears for the enduro24 axles?

Thanks. I honestly don’t remember now. I sold the enduro so I can’t measure it. I just measured the stock enduro shafts and ordered the one I needed. Sorry I can’t help ya out any better.

I really like the rc4wd stamped steel wheels for this truck. It needs to be a bit wider to fit bigger tires and you can mount the hex backwards on those wheels and get a wider stance. They work great on it.
@@2fmrc I just got the rc4wd stamped steel wheels for the enduro 24 and i cant tighten the wheel nut all the way with my tool. My tool hits the bolts that hold the wheels together. How did you get the wheels mounted
Hey was the Scx24 motors swap a direct swap!?
Which one? I’m running a couple different motors in them. None are a direct bolt on. The barrage requires a couple holes be drilled but uses the stock mount and everything else. It’s the easiest for sure. I have a video on the install also.

Idk? Are you running the stock battery on it? Or a 2s? That made a huge difference. Once I switched it and to bigger tires everything started breaking lol

Mostly just the scx24 battery. It don’t handle the 2s very well though. It was always breaking something on me so I sold it and moved on lol

carloshnunez it’s from a 1/20 AMT model kit. Just search that on eBay or wherever. Most hobby shops have it as well. Just gotta paint it etc. I have a video of mounting it to my deadbolt if you wanna check that out as well.

I never really cared for this truck (sold mine) but you can always use some magnets to mount the body. Wouldn’t worry about that too much.

Are all axial scx24 bodies interchangeable? I have one of the first Deadbolts and I'm looking for something like my fcx 24 K5. Something more scale and Jeep
No they aren’t. Usually have to change the wheelbase,body post and bumpers depending on what you switch to. Some will work together but the bumpers and stuff are usually all different
