Walking Down Memory Lane- My Childhood Village Visit

- Recently, I had a chance to visit my uncle's village where I spent a few years during my childhood. In fact, even after leaving the village for further studies at Imphal, I used to go there during summer holidays and winter Christmas time. Located in the interior of Churachandpur district, M. Bongmol village falls under Singhat Constituency and is about 22km from Churachandpur town. The village was established by my uncle and my father after they shifted from Sita village in Tengnoupal district, post World War-II.
This is a village where not much of development has taken place for decades, until recently. But the place is full of memories of my childhood days. Let's have a look at the village as of today.

Wow. I don’t even know where to start 🤣😂 The clear blue sky , the scenic and beautiful landscape mesmerised me.
Glancing through the video it shows SLOW LUXURY which we all seek and work towards for. I’m happy Mr. Khongsai you went to visit your childhood town or the place you had grown up. This really shows you are very grateful and I / WE appreciate for your time . To be honest I do not understand much of the village life however I sincerely hope it’s a fulfilling trip with emotions and nostalgic.
We came to Manipur this year after 20 years and stayed for five months though the plan was for 15 days. I was mesmerised with the scenic and so much to explore in Manipur from east to west and north to south. At one point we went to catch a fish in a river and came back with none 😂😭🤣 however I will forever remember that trip and as the saying goes it’s the journey not the destination which count which is a proof to us . On our Journey each mountain taught us something and so much to cherish . I’m trying my bit to advertise Manipur among my circles for its scenic and beautiful landscape and needless to say the uncommercial territory. Until today I can never forget Manipur . I ended with writing a letter to Manipur for all my experiences which I will always keep very close to my heart.
I’m glad I had came through your vlog and it is such an eye opener. You always surprise me with your video after watching the Miss KUT. I miss Manipur for all the fun and exploration I had for five months and being local and see the daily lifestyle. It will always stay with me forever.
Reading through the comments I read poverty and I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope we can eliminate Poverty for the next generation. While our trip, we saw poverty so much and it touched my heart. We are planning to do Medical camp atleast in 10 to 15 villages to start with, focus on basic hygiene and health that’s what we need to start on. Mission 2022 one step at a time. So much of ignorance I saw after them being in less / no pollution and a clear blue sky with organic veggies. ( which we all long for - sustainable , up cycle and decent living )
