Yeah...definitely screwed up the bit about the speed of Saitama hopping back to Earth from the moon BUT on the plus side, it doesn't change the final outcome. Yes, it overestimates Saitama's power for that one calculation, but it's not his MAX STRENGTH that we calculated for the falling meteor. It also still PALES in comparison to Vibranium's power, so yep, Cap's shield still stands!

Edit: my apologies for opening up this can of worm of a statement. Let's just remember that Saitama is a gag character with the intent of being a parody of the strongest hero, which means he is as strong as he needs to be, and not at all meant to be taken seriously.

Matpat needs to make another episode because he posted this before Endgame were Captian America's sheild was not just dented for the first time but straight up destroyed by Thanos's double sided sword. It took a few hits to break Cap's sword so all he has to do is figure out the material that the sword is made out of and then calculate the power of Thanos's hits and then see if Saitama has enough power to break the sheild.

We haven't seen him do it, but it is speculated that saitama can destroy a planet. When saitama fights Boros, Boros says, "I'll blast you and this planet to hell!" That implies that Boros can destroy a planet. Saitama then fully counters Boros's attack with an even stronger one. Saitama can overpower a supposedly planet busting attack. So, Saitama can probably destroy a planet.
he also reflected a blast capable of destroying the earth so it went the complete opposite direction and it still destroyed boros one who was able to survive the punches from saitama and saitama reflected it in one punch while thanos had to dismantle the moon part by part. saitama on the other hand could destroy the planet in one punch vibranium couldnt even stand a chance against a not even moon shattering slap so yeah make out the rest

Coming back to these videos now that Matpat had left feels different. It makes these old videos feel all the better, knowing there may be no more Matpat videos.
And remember, Saitama could use as many punches as he wants to in order to destroy vibranium. Also, he could stick out his pinky finger to focus the force of his punch in one smaller area. I know that sticking out his pinky finger would sound like it would weaken the punch, but the only reason it doesn't work for us is that we would likely break our pinky while saitama wouldn't. The reason how we know this is that saitama doesn't seem to be clutching his fist in pain after punching considerably large and hard objects. So his bones are probably indestructible too so this wouldn't even be close to a fair fight. Saitama would decimate the vibranium.

Um I don't think that could destroy worlds. Boros is only Above Dragon. He would probably destroy most of or all of the Earth's surface.
Alex it was stated in many different guide books including the anime itself that the attack was planet level, in one guide book it even said it was Star level. It could of wiped out the entire planet, probably of done even more.

during saitama’s battle with garou, his serious sneeze blew away jupiter’s turbulent atmosphere. surely that amount of energy (especially assuming he STILL isn’t his most serious, saying he only put it a tiny bit more effort with attacks like this, serious punch, serious sideways steps, serious squirt gun, etc) would EASILY take out vibranium, but assuming how long ago this video was made, there needs to be a part 2 of this.

4 years later and after the recent chapters of OPM, I can say with high confidence and no need for any other research, that Saitama can easily bend and break Vibranium with his eyelids alone.
i think that since the CZcamsr "Because Science" has made an estimate of how much power saitama's serious punch, we can agree that saitama can break the shield almost effortelessly. "Because science" found that Saitama's serious punch releases at LEAST 10 Octillion Joules of energy.

also, in the comics, Captain America's shield isn't just made out of vibranium. It's also made of proto-adamantium, which is a type of regular adamantium (the metal that Wolverine's claws are made out of) which is known for being virtually indestructible in Marvel Comics. Proto-adamantium is also a bit more durable than regular adamantium. It's also made out of an iron alloy and vibranium, and the vibranium helps the shield absorb kinetic energy. The vibranium is the one that absorbs all the kinetic energy, and adamantium is the one that makes it indestructible, and the steel part adds to its strength. Cap's shield also had an unknown catalyst, which is why it's never been created again. (fun fact, the metallurgist who created the shield in the comics fell asleep while the process was happening, so he didn't take notes on the entire thing).

No, the earth since every step wouldn’t break the earth’s crust
Destroying the meteor is not Saitama's greatest strength feat. His greatest feat of strength is overpowering Boros' final attack, which was said to be strong enough to destroy the Earth. Which means Saitama is capable of planetary tier attacks and wouldn't have any trouble destroying moons, thus Saitama can destroy vibranium.

That's very far from being able to destroy planets.
Of course, mistranslations allow for some ambiguity. He may be planet level. A guid book can be translated to even star busting capability, but you'd be trying really hard to believe that.

@@kasrkin100 i did some math and if we are going to use the serious punch and if we convert its power to a single explosion, *he can break 13 bedrock with one serious punch* (to break 1 bedrock you need 1.4 million tnt since bedrock has a resistance of 18000 to tnt)

Exactly. Vibranium is extremely durable, but it isn't indestructible, only almost indestructible. Also his shield isn't even pure, but made from alloy less durable then invented later Adamentium. Saitama on the other hand is a satire on OP characters, he can one punch anything just due to power of plot.. strongest force in fiction ;D
PS: Thor hamer clearly isn't made from neutron star as it is not how physic work, and I don't think I should remind that Thor isn't brightest so it isn't even a plot-hole. Such singularity would also make Thor collapse in the ground if it would have absurd mass. My guess is that it is probably just form of vibranium, plus some high tech gimmick making it glued to gravity field (Vision was capable to hack it). And I don't even mention fact that Thor probably didn't punch him too strong, as he didn't intend to kill Cap.
Actually throughout all of Marvel history the only beings that have destroyed Cap's shield are ones that can MANIPULATE FUCKING REALITY! The Reality Stone in the Infinity Gauntlet most likely allowed Thanos to destroy Cap's shield, not his brute strength, but if Cap's shield was constructed by Tony in the modern day it might actually take an exploding sun and not even have a scratch.

Plus using the moon fragmentation as a reference isnt too accurate. Thanos didn't want to destroy the entire moon because he would risk injuring himself and losing the time stone. If he wanted to he could. He fragmented enough chunks to take care of the other avengers that were getting in his way so that he could deal with strange

He never said/showed that he could break the entire moon, and he never indicated that he was holding back in order to limit his own recoil damage. Besides, he had the space stone by then so by your logic he could have brought the whole moon down then warped away if he didn't want to be caught in the blast.

Though to bring down the Moons shards to earth they need to slow the moon down or at least the moons shards all still the same mass to make them fall back onto the earth but the shards of moon came down onto the battlefield and the moon was right on top of them so they’d have to stop the mass of the moon and bring it down on to them. That will require even more energy then calculated in the video.

Actually (no trolling), according to the official Japanese data book of One Punch Man... Boros’s final Attack is actually strong enough to destroy a Star. It was a mistake in translation of the English manga:
-Original Japanese: “I will erase you from the surface of the planet”
-Mistake in translation: “I will destroy the surface of the Planet”.
Not really. If Saitama released that much energy, the atmosphere would be annihilated and planet's inhabitants would've died. That clearly doesn't happen, so Boros' attack is just pure wank and isn't all that strong. If you're gonna use science, you're gonna have to apply it to everything, not just to make your argument look good.

The wind pressure from use of less then 1% of his power is what he used to destroy Boros. But it doesn't really matter, because Saitama is just a joke. Judging his power is silly. There can never be anything he won't defeat that easily, in any universe, because that is just what Saitama is.
The only reason to compare Saitama to anything, is to make a joke about how he'd still only need one punch to annihilate it.
