Nice video, I have a Milling and logging business on Vancouver island in Canada. It is supper cool seeing your operation and all your videos. We have a couple wood mizers and the bells firewood machine. You guys do a nice job explaining the steps that you are up too. Keep up the good work. Cheers
Live edge siding is very popular here in upstate N.Y. the Adirondacks, A few guys here have the tapered jig on their setups. Nice not to have to use such large trim and corner boards. Keep up the good work.
Hi...im from Canada and been sawing with Woodmizer for around 20 yrs.. I love them a lot but still prefer the old friction mills..lol.. I was watching u saw and i would like to tell u a trick that i've been using for many years..Instead of using "windshield washer i switched to "fuel" ...it ends up that its cheeper and keeps ur blade always clean and lubrified ..works good for me....learned that from another sawer and im 72..lol..u should try it.. Have a good day. Simon from Canada..
Thank you for the education. I’m looking to buy my own saw mill some day. What do you mean when you say you press “auto down” just in case? JC - Northern California
“Auto down” allows you to lower the mill at a consistent rate, for instants I have it set to lower 1 inch at a time allowing me to make my cant barkless. Sometimes as you are cutting off the slab you might have to push auto down to make another cut, this cut would be a flitch a.k.a. jacket board. Hope this makes sense.
Great to see this video. Now I know what that unique looking siding is called.

Hey Nathan!
Yes, thank God you've started talking to us. Here in Minnesota you don't get to cut the ASher fluid. -25 is the minimum you should use.
Y'all have fun!
Thanks

@@lumbercapitallogyard how did you learn to be such an accomplished Sawyer?
Can you use the wood for siding immediately after sawing?
A lot of our customers do, but some people insist that it’s dry. There is a lot of disagreement in that area
3/4" curf included?
My live edge I set mine at 1 1/8" (1")
I thought all you wood cut with a Wood Mizer were wavy cut
: )
Dude your production values are golden, I just saw this pop up and I'm like wow she's good.
Why do you always tire over the scab birds where your
Sister does not
Love your style
