Constructive criticism: Your music is so bad and so overwhelmingly loud that I couldn't bear to keep watching. Make better videos by keeping the music slightly above audible threshold when the primary purpose is anything other than a music video and don't fade it louder. Your audience is not watching these videos for the music.

100% agree and came to the comment section to say the same thing!
I don't know if I am alone in this thought, but to me, the sounds of the work itself are the real music that I want to hear. The sawing, chopping, hammering playing over a backdrop of ambient natural noise.
      Music to my ears.

As a qualified machinist with toolmaking the first thing I personally would do would be to make a holesaw to suit, then making a suitable jig, drill these reliefs in two logs at once. Cleaner Finnishes, closer fits, less machining time and a heck of a lot safer without any variation.

      @ffjsb Před 2 lety +1

That would be awful expensive, cost prohibitive if you're just building one cabin...

// "make a holesaw to suit, ... a lot safer without any variation"//
Unfortunately for you, the logs vary, so the 'no variation' idea doesn't work.

agreed...not that hard to have a holesaw custom made to match that diameter or any diameter log really...i hear you..but for out in the boonies like this...he's on top of it...good thought

As a hack machinist, as long as all your logs are 14.000" dia at both ends your golden!

Would work with lathe turned logs and is done with them, but by lathe turning logs, you lose some important properties of the logs. If the logs are not lathe turned into uniform diameter, like in this video they are not, then good luck with your system...

You make it look like it's a lego build, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

  • @rosemarycarrasquillo7111

What is " chinking"? What is it made of? Do you make it naturally from the environment or you get it from hardware store. Would it prevent leakage. What do you use to prevent insects from attacking your log cabin. I sorry if I'm asking many questions. Our forefathers , build log cabins differently. I'm just interested.

Depending on your budget and intended use , chinking can be moss, mud , clay, or various insulation or spray foams can also be purchased

It's nice the tree gods make all the trees the same diameter so your juig fits exactly.

It was smart to make that box but obviously the tree would have to be within the right dimension. What dimension are the trees you selected?

    • @DL101ca

Trees were milled to the same dimensions, they were not natural size.

Без топора можно сделать. С такой же точностью. Я думал он топором будет делать эффект строганной материала. Хотел было похвалить, ан нет, всё финишировал штилем. 🤔
