there were so many issues putting this video together😭so I’m sorry about any weird editing but I hope you still enjoy🙏🏼
StudioCanal? I've heard they are awkward.
It's great* as always, don't worry!
Its okay we are use to it. YT is real funny style when it comes to reacting to some of the great films. You still did a very good job nonetheless.
I always enjoy your reaction despite any problems that you see. Keep up what you're doing and those subscription numbers will continue to rise
I barely noticed and it didn’t bother me. Great reaction grrl!
I always felt really bad for Miles Dyson in this. Not only does his evening and home get absolutely destroyed, he gets shot, his family gets scarred, he likely doesn't leave his family anything as he's probably considered an accomplice in the destruction of the Cyberdyne building. Once he finds out the horrific truth of what's to come and his involvement, he joins them in hopes of saving lives/preventing Skynet, and gets shot up again multiple times. This time its fatal, and instead of holding malice for the SWAT that shot him and blowing them up, he gives them plenty of time to evacuate saving even more lives. Talk about a real hero.
Yeaa I absolutely agree🥹
It's not just about the SWAT team, he's also giving john and sarah time to get as far away as possible...
Robert Patrick, who in addition to many other TV and film acting credits also plays the T-1000 in this movie, is the older brother of Nine Inch Nails/Filter musician Richard Patrick!
He also used to be something of a track & field standout in his younger years, and they had to keep doing more takes of him chasing the motorbike on-foot, as he was actually catching up to or outrunning it.
When the cop gets killed while at the coffee machine, it is his real-life twin brother that does it.
On of the best films ever. Sit back for 2 hours and just enjoy the excellence.
Love T2. It holds up even to this day;)
BTW I saw the time jump at the end, the issues with editing prevented me from putting in🤦🏽♀️ I was happy she saved the world, but I still felt bad for her, like she’ll never get the credit she deserves😭
@ Journey Marie Reacts . . . right! And that's messed up but life is also like that
It's cool. That ending is tuh-RAYUSH!
I much prefer the ending from the theatrical cut.
The guy that played the T-1000 went through some specialized training for his role, like shooting without blinking his eyes. That scene where he was chasing the bike, he actually had to slow himself down because he would outrun the bike
Robert Patrick used to be a track star that's why he had to slow down for John
That guy is the great Robert Patrick
@@jimmyzee7040 I forgot he was in Scorpion. Do you remember that? I love Katharine McPhee.
@@melody9241 That’s true, he used to run track.. He actually caught John on the bike on a couple of takes..
@@gartrellliddell3806 yeah they had to do the takes over and over and even him slowing down didn't work much so he was given the head start.
Love it when the twist still gets people after all this time, such a classic banger :D
Especially since it didn't get anyone when it first came out. We all had it spoiled for us through pr campaigns, trailers, interviews, etc. One of the small joys of watching people discover it 30 years removed from its release.
6:56 goosebumps ☺️
3:34 the audience in the theater was howling laughing. The music and Arnie on that bike with the shades priceless!
Best reactor on CZcams
Who me??😁🙏🏼
@@journeymariereacts most definitely
2:31 started to laugh until he started grillin' 😆
🤣🤣😬
One of the greatest sequels ever made. The music video of the film is the classic song "You Could Be Mine" performed by Guns N' Roses. Thank you Marie for reacting Terminator 2: Judgment Day with Schwarzenegger. Hasta la vista baby😎😎
Aww I love how you get so engaged. Fantastic stuff.
Thank you! 😊
This one was good love the video Marie stay motivated dream big 1 mill on the way
"Hasta la vista, baby."
The theatrical cut is INFERIOR next to the extended cut with the definitive ending. Those missing scenes have important narrative and lore elements. They were written and filmed by James Cameron, so no excuse on it being the definitive version.
Fun Fact: Linda Hamilton's twin sister, Leslie Hamilton Gearren, was used as a double in scenes involving two "Sarah Connors" (for example, when the T-1000 was imitating her). Identical twins Don Stanton and Dan Stanton played the hospital security guard and the T-1000.
Ned Nederlander Award Fact: Robert Patrick undertook a rigorous running regime and practiced breathing only through his nose, in order to appear to be a cyborg that could run at high speeds without showing fatigue. He had trained so hard that he was able to catch up to Edward Furlong on his dirt bike with ease.
Stripper Night Fact: A female passer-by wandered onto the biker bar set thinking it was real, despite walking past all the location trucks, cameras, and lights. Seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger standing in the bar dressed only in boxer shorts, she finally asked what was going on, only for Schwarzenegger to reply that it was male stripper night.
Nuclear Nightmare Fact: Special effects guru Stan Winston and his crew studied hours of nuclear test footage in order to make Sarah Connor's "nuclear nightmare" scene look as realistic as possible. A miniature Los Angeles was made to simulate the scene. Some of the materials used in the miniature that mimicked all the destroyed masonry were Matzos crackers and Shredded Wheat. After each take, it would take on average two days to set the model up to shoot again. In late 1991, members of several US federal nuclear testing labs unofficially declared it "the most accurate depiction of a nuclear blast ever created" for a fictional movie. The special effects team members have stated several times that no scene they've worked on since has received an equivalent amount of praise or emotional feedback from viewers.
nah, theatrical cut all the way. This one has too much filler. As cool as the Reese scene is, its not needed, and that stupid smiling scene...
I’ve realized that John Connor is actually a Hacker. He used that skill to fight against the machines in the future
6:54 I love this version with Kyle coming back to give Sarah a pep talk.
9:12 "maybe. just choke'm out right there."
damn journey! love the passion, but damn! 😆
Lmaoo🤣he was passing me off😤🤷🏼♀️
I have to admit, as a teenager T2 was my all time favorite. But the older I get the more I prefer T1 where Arnold is a real nightmare killing machine. Amazing reaction as always Marie :D
I really like both version of him lol. & thank you!
You made my day! 😊
I'm so glad!😁🙏🏼
as a low budget filmmaker T1 has a special place in my heart for what they could pull off with such a small budget, that being said T2 is one of the best action movies ever made. Plus jacked Linda Hamilton is one of the sickest movie characters ever
Amazing movie
the thing to remember is that Sarah spent 10 years leveling up
That’s one of the best female action hero’s ever.
Top 20 movie. The action, music, acting. Never a dull moment
I love how badass Sara Conner was up until seeing the Terminator and immediately triggers her ptsd. This was one of my favorite movies as a kid 😅🤣
"Hasta La Vista, Baby" was in that one Jody Watley track from the late-80s. "I'm Looking for a New Love", I believe it's called...
One of the best sequels ever. 🔥 reaction as always.
Glad you enjoyed it... I was waiting for you to see the twist when both Terminators meet in their first gun fight... when they caught up with John, lol... like which one is trying to kill him... Classic Scene... Especially when he pulls the Shotgun out the Roses Box ☮️
Terminator is a legendary classic that revolutionised CGI in films. Next month this movie will an incredible 32 years old, and its STILL better than anything today. The guy who plays the T1000 is Robert Patrick. Hes been in tons of movies such as Identity Thief, Copland, Safe House, and tv shows like the recent Peacemaker, 1923 and Night Agent. Hes done lots of voice over work too, one of them voicing Master Piandao in The Last Airbender cartoon. I mentioned that series because you're wearing a Last Airbender shirt!
Oh woww thanks for mentioning that! I love ATLA!! & I completely agree, this movie was ahead of its time👌🏻
Maybe it holds up because it uses CGI sparingly. That chopper flying under a bridge? They found out, the best way to do it is to get a real chopper and fly it under a real bridge.
As long as you'll be there, I can deal with the editing issues😁. So sorry it stressed you out!☹️
Thank you so much for the support🙏🏼& it’s ok, it’s all worth it👌🏻
Woah, I've never seen that dream sequence with Kyle and Sarah 😳crazy, didn't even know there was a special director's cut. Anyways, great reaction and I subbed 😊
Thanks for subbing😁🙏🏼
Great reaction Miss Marie!! That was really enjoyable.👍👍✌🤟
Thank you!! 😁
Aww man I remember when I was 14 years old back In 1991 me and my friends went to see this movie the only way to enjoy this film is in a movie theater 🎭
Sir how did the audience respond to the CGI back then?
Once again you crushed it! I love your attention to the small details and the way you anticipate the twists. Your humor and passion make for a really fun watch. When Sarah was escaping i could tell you really wanted that mop handle! You are on my list of favs and i can't wait for the next one❤
Thank you soooo much, that really means a lot, especially since this video was hell to put together. Glad you still enjoyed it despite the editing🙏🏼😁
It's you that makes the video.
@@journeymariereacts You watch it straight through, before you edit it right? You don't edit as you go.
@@journeymariereacts and there are no more terminator movies, you're done
Hey there looking forward to this ❤
You are SOOO SHARP and INTELLIGENT! I personally liked the 3rd one and I think for what it's worth you SHOULD watch the series of them all. Be angry like the rest of us and experience it all!
I'd love your perspective.
❤️🖤💚🙏🏽🤣🤖
Thank you!!! & I definitely plan on it😁👍🏻
Love the review. Quality as usual. During your reviews, I noticed you get emotional during the love scenes in your reviews. Stop it, you make me tear up too. 😂😂😂
Lmaoo love is beautiful🥹
@@journeymariereacts Indeed.
I also wanted to say that in the first Terminator movie Kyle Reese tells Sarah Connor that the Terminators AKA AI robots wouldn't exist for 40 years and that movie was made in 1984, now add 40 years to the 1984 you get 2024 which is this year and also they have those AI robots made and they look like humans even shapeshifters.
another great reaction to a classic! one of my favs, on a side note, my brother in-law worked at the building where they did the CGI effects for the T-1000, it was done in Montreal at ILM, "industrial lights and magic". another small tidbit, Linda Hamilton's twin sister was used as well for some of the camera tricks, when they were taking out he computer chip in arny's head. she was used as a mirror effect.
I never seen this version of Terminator 2 but cool reaction
Linda Hamilton's twin sister is playing the past Sarah Conner in the flash backs and when there are two Sarahs sharing the same srceen time.
Oh wowww that’s so cool😳
Your reactions are hilarious! I love it!
Thank you!! 😁
You're welcome. Just don't ever change (unless it's for the better). You're reactions give us enjoyment and we can always use that in this world.
poor Dyson. an actual hero
"Who thinks of this??"
🙂🤙🏾✨ People who ask "why" all the time.
( Who knew that killing a Terminator would involve the same method of destroying the One Ring? 😂 Great video! 😄 )
There was an alternative ending where time skip to years later where John is in his mid or late 30s and is a politician and is seen playing with his kid in the park and Sarah is an old woman watching them and narrativing that judgment day never happened. That was the true ending to this movie for me
I actually saw that but there were some issues editing & I didn’t get to put it in🤦🏽♀️
Luckily they didn't went with that ending, otherwise the greatest sequel in history would have had the worst possible ending.
If they stopped Jugdgement Day, John Connor would have gotten the McFly treatment, disappearing from existence.
Remember, John's father is Kyle Reese and he went back in time via Skynet's time machine.
No Skynet > No Time Machine > No John Connor
@@Renegade2786 never really thought of it like that. It just after this movie, Terminatior DF happened. I think Dark Fate was a ok movie but I don't think John Connor should be taken out like that. Which is why in my mind that this ending is canon
@@adrianharrell87 I actually loved DF and how they killed him off. It's human nature that someone will always stand and lead, even if the supposed "saviour" is killed. The idea that humanity falls unless this one guy lives always seemed kinda dumb to me although i understood it as a plot point. Terminator has always been more Sarah's story anyway rather than John. I think that's why T3 never hit right for me. No Sarah and way too much dumb humor. I did like Salvation for what they were trying to do but it could have been better. The only part of DF I didnt like was the airplane/hummer on the dam thing. It was just too over the top. Terminator works much better when its a good mix of CGI and practical effects like T2.
@@Renegade2786No. The rules of time travel aren't fixed in stone. Obviously, the Terminator itself is NOT retroactively erased from history, so, no reason for Kyle to be. In time travel stories it's perfectly fine for people and other objects to come from cancelled timelines.
PS: Notice the final battle is very similar to the first Terminator, but with a few adjustment:
1. The chased crashes the bike/chopper after Kyle/Sarah gets shot and in doing so overturn their car/police van.
2. The terminator hijacks a truck to continue chasing it targets.
3. The truck that terminator is driving is destroyed and its content slow it down.
4. The chased flee the terminator in a deserted factory.
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! Asta la Vista, Baby is from a Jodi Watley song I'm Looking for a New Love, the song was popular around the early '90s and James Cameron used the quote in the script.
I’m so glad😁& thanks for enlightening me about that🙏🏼
Sarah's identical twin sister plays in the end with her
journey you came thru :) haha amazing reaction! best reactor on you tube foreal though! 👌
Thank you!! 😊 that means a lot
30:30 "So when he gets older, his dad will still be alive?"
Kyle Reese is a curious contradiction of a human being. He was born _after_ Judgement Day, but he died long _before_ it.
"You're making it easy for him."
PFFT! You do it then!
Touché🤣👌🏻
Hey Arnold was an animated tv show I used to watch as a kid. I thought of it when you said hey Arnold.
Lol yea I never watched that but I know of it & I thought of the same thing while editing🤣
Yes the effects were better lol. First film cost 6.4 million, this film was the first or second to cost 100 million or more. Also Cameron wanted the t-1000 in the first movie but the tech wasn't there yet. HE wanted to do T2 in 1987, but still the effects for the liquid metal weren't right. He made the Abyss 1989 to test the effects, realized they were good enough, and this came out in 91. If you watch the Abyss you'll see what I'm talking about.
You are soo pretty !!! love your reactions you really feel the movie. best wishes , your # 1 fan from Mexico.
Muchas graciasss🙏🏼❤️
@@journeymariereacts woow gracias a ti you just made my day. Imma get my friends to subscribe to your chanel, hasta la vista muchacha bonita!!. can't wait to see your next reaction.
The T-1000 Robert Patrick was a track star, when he chased John Connor on the bike he had to slow down
That would have made a hilarious parody movie with Sarah, John and the Terminator all singing the Backstreet Boys Bye Bye while the T-1000 is being incinerated by the molten steel. LOL! Fun fact they used luminescent chemicals and water and special lighting techniques to simulate the glow of molten steel in an abandoned steel plant to film the final sequence.
42:57 Actually it’s from the song “Looking for a New Love” by singer Jody Watley. The song came out 4 years before this movie.
Someone in the writers room must have been a fan.
16:10 "oh wow. oh, this thing is dangerous."
really, ya think? 😉😆
🤣🤣
I remember laughing at a comment wondering how far the T-1000 would go with Todd. Then they started wondering if it could mimic a certain area of a woman correctly.
James camran thinks of the kind of stories. Great reaction.
😎 I'll be back.
But not for anymore Terminator sequels!!!
🤣🤣🤣
🤘🌎❤
6:45 awwww 😊
Yes! alright! The movie that takes the cake in the terminator series! Great One journey Marie! Keep watching the series beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Will do!
1. Linda Hamilton must have been getting "Ah-nold time" to get ripped like that 😍🥰
2. My guess is that stove is hot🧐
3. We have limited AI now, so does China.
4. Arnold did many of his own stunts in this movie, including riding the motorcycle. At one point he was injured, and they had to stop production for a couple of weeks so he could recover.
5. Arnold is not left-handed, but the way he works that shotgun is impressive😱
6. "I need a vacation" was ad lib.
7. This is the action movie GOAT.
Great reaction 🔥💯
Thank you!! 😊
Another beautiful reaction ❤
Thank you!!!
Very very nice!!!
looking forward to you watching some scary stuff. 🙂
That makes one of us lol
Great video and channel
Thank you!
37:27 I work in IT and can tell you blowing up the Cyberdyne building would only slow things down. A project as critical as the one Dyson worked on would invariably have backups not in the building. Even in the early 1990’s, companies had already begun storing copies of critical data offsite.
The head of their company operations group would have a backup data tape at their new building within a couple of days. Then it would just be a matter of figuring out what was missing.
If this happened today nothing but a full blown attack on the company in cyber space and physical space could get rid of it. But with the way cloud storage works there are backups on backups on backups on backups etc, etc.
23:11 I recently heard that Linda Hamilton suffered permanent hearing loss in one ear because she removed her ear plugs during this scene.
It seems she forgot to put them back in and Schwarzenegger began firing the shotgun right next to her.
I own firearms and always keep my ear protection on while on a hot gun range. Once years ago my headphones slipped and before I could readjust some dude a few lanes down opened up with a rifle. My ear on that side was ringing for about a year. After that I started putting in earplugs then putting on the headphones.
Whenever I see movies with gun battles in such enclosed locations I think “They should all be deaf by now”
"His freakin ears" 😅
I'm glad for people who never had nuke dreams.
"He was talking too damn much. "She said shut up"."
"Knock his ass out! Who's crazy now beatch?"
33:42 "It's all your _fault!_ _Fucker!_ It's all your _fault!"_
"What?"
He has no idea, Sarah. He's working on something the consequences of which he's _completely_ unaware of. That was _you,_ once. Remember?
I'd you haven't seen it already, you have to react to Terminator: Dark Fate. It's the last Terminator movie that came out and although there are a few more Terminator movies that came out after the 2nd one, Dark Fate is supposed to pick up where Terminator 2 left off...
10:54 "What the hell is _he?"_
_The Terminator_ and _Terminator 2_ are both thrillers. I once read a book called _How to Write a Damn Good Thriller,_ by James N. Frey. In it, the author relates rules that have been known since at _least_ as far back as ancient Greece. In a good thriller, contrary to popular wisdom, the _antagonist_ is the most important character. You've got to get them _all fleshed out_ before you even _touch_ the protagonist. You've got to write them in such a way as to be _terrifying_ and seemingly _unstoppable._ One thing this means is that, often, they're stronger and more powerful than the _protagonist._
In _The Terminator,_ this meant that the antagonist would be a bullet-proof _cyborg_ while the hero was a mere _human_ he surpassed in every measurable _way._
In _Terminator 2,_ when that same bullet-proof cyborg was made the _protagonist,_ that meant they had to make the antagonist a staggeringly _better_ cyborg.
44:35 _Staggeringly_ better.
Always top tier, even when you omit the ending.👍
Yea wish I didn’t lose so much footage with this video, but I’m glad you still enjoyed🙏🏼
13:51 - 13:57 19:37 - 19:55
Side note: Robert Patrick was the first choice to play Odo on DS9.
3:25 "I need to complete my ensemble."
36:30 this is a good example of plot armor….If Sara and Terminator covered their bases, they should’ve asked if there was another security guard in order to detain him too…but then we wouldn’t have had the epic shootout with the swat team
Awesome moVie
39:25 - This girl is clearly a psychopath, she's the first person I've ever seen say that she would of killed them all.
Yea I’m crazy watch out…
Did you notice the foster mother played in the movie Titanic, she was the poor woman with the 2 children who went down with the ship in bed.
Oh woww didn’t notice that!!
"Terminator 2: Judgment Day": Sarah Connor has become an urban warrior, John Connor is a juvenile delinquent, and TWO Terminators appear. What is going on?
44:19 She would rather die than put her son in danger. Basically the definition of being a mother.
*"Bye-bye bye-bye..."*
Its more Sarah fault than Dyson, a random employee of a DOD contractor, she's the one that didn't take it the crushed T-800 and arm with her.
You made a good choice to watch Terminator 2.
The Greatest film ever made 🔥
16:12 my exact thoughts as a 7-year old boy (early 90s) watching this 🎥 with his dad 😳
Nice 👌
Honestly, you can skip all the sequels. T3 is okay...but the rest are really forgettable.
I recommend you view the TV show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. A great cast with Lena Headey bringing it as Sarah and Summer Glau as another "protector" Terminator who is sent by "Future" John. She is an unreliable narrator of the future though, who blithely lies and manipulates young John. Future John is fighting a vicious and surreal chess game with a Skynet that has grown more dangerous with each timeline change.
The future isn't what it used to be.
It's darker and more unforgiving like T1, with parallel storylines of Sarah's ever more ruthless and desperate attempts to prevent Skynet from being born along with a truly nightmarish view of the war after Judgement Day.
his dad hasn't been born.
he won't "Still be alive", he will have been born
At least you made sure to completely cut out the emotional ending entirely.
Bold move👍
That was an accident🥲
I never get tired of the look on peoples' faces when they realized that Arnie is the good guy in this one.
Now you need to see T3. Not quite as good as the first two, but it does wrap up the trilogy, plus it has one of the best chase scenes ever filmed.
I agree she should watch T3 it's not as the good as the first, but I put it over T2.
Doing a T2 reaction without showing the ending thumbs up scene should be illegal.
I agree!! I lost a lot of footage unfortunately, that’s the only reason important scenes are missing😭but I loved that scene👌🏻
I had to go back and see you react to this CLASSIC yet future movie. Seems that Skynet gets closer, and closer. Maybe "They" knew something we are yet to find out. See you in The Matrix
Thee Goat Terminator ! The rest can 🙄 this one was IT !!!
