I think this movie was made in response to “The Real World” and “Road Rules” on MTV but it’s wild that it actually came YEARS before “reality TV” actually took off starting in 2000 with Survivor. This came out in 1998. It’s wild how ahead of its time it really was.

My whole family watched this at the cinema. Hearing one of the tornados coming in from the side felt like you were really in the middle of it. A few weeks after seeing it I saw a twister in real life in the distance. But as they are an extremely rare occurrence in the UK, most never touch the ground and when they do, they are generally not that big. It lasted roughly 3 or 4 minutes, but nobody was hurt. The bad thing was it stuck in the middle of an antiques fair, which we were actually heading to. Nobody was hurt, but quite a few tables were flipped. No surprise it was canceled that day, but we returned a week later and all the vendors were wearing "I survived the Detling tornado" T-shirts.

Seattle comment Janice made is due to the fact Seattle has always had one of the highest suicide rates in America. Places that get low sunlight typically have high suicide rates. Seattle is far north so it has shorter days & it’s cloudy there 300 days a year.

Legit businesses can become super rich but crime business has too many money pitfalls to become super rich. Upper middle class like successful doctors or lawyers is about as good as it gets in the crime business.
