I stopped using moisturizer, cleanser, and exfoliator over a week ago. My blackheads and whiteheads have disappeared, my skin looks tighter and fresh...
My mom is almost 60 and I tell her all the time that her skin looks amazing! The woman has never worn sunscreen, has never exfoliated, cleansed, no laser, n9 plastic surgery, no botox and her skin looks better than women my age. She hates her skin because she doesn't look like she's 30 anymore but I tell her that women her age would do a lot to have skin like hers. She laughs cuz she can't believe that lol
Maybe there's truth to it all.

It’s not that skincare is a scam, it’s that the marketing in skincare is a scam. There is no reason your facial cleaner should cost over $20 for an 8oz container. If it does, they’re either a popular brand, so you’re paying for brand name, or they have some outlandish claim or ‘special ingredient’ in it. A basic skincare routine looks like cleansing and moisturizing. That’s really all you need. And it shouldn’t cost that much.
Edit: on top of that, people fail to realize that healthy skin comes from the inside. Your diet and hormones play a gigantic part in what your skin looks like…food for thought.

Genuinely, my girlfriend will shampoo, then condition, and some type of facial clenser, then whatever products in her hair when she gets out of the shower, followed by blowdryers or straighteners. Then her makeup routine. And she will wonder why she gets acne, as for myself, I shampoo every 3-4 days, and condition every time I shower. No face washes, obviously no makeup lol, I use an all natural oil blend for my beard and hair, and that's ALL. And as gorgeous as she is with and without makeup, I literally cannot remember the last time I had a single pimple... and she's always jealous of how much softer my beard is than her hair. By all means, bathe and stay cleanly! But I'm telling yall ladies, these skin care, hair care, and makeup products and companies that manufacture them aren't out here for yalls health and well being, they just racking up the money off of yalls insecurities! Yall beautiful without spending hundreds of dollars on charcoal face masks an shit! Keep a good self care routine, but don't feed into these big companies BS

Insecurities? So you never heared a dermatologist.
Shaving is exfoliation and it helps with skincare. And the rest are pure genetics, just like most people with acne. Genetics.
You clearly don't know the most common cancer is skin cancer and still don't use spf. Your skin must be ashy af because everyone should be using a moisturizer or a very moisturizing serum. Btw the after shave creams are moisturizers. So you are exfoliating and moisturizing your skin.
You must be pretty young too and still don't know what aging causes in your skin quality.
Skincare is as important as shampoo and toothpaste. As simple as that.

I agree with you that the products make the skin dry so that you use more products. I had a 7 step skin care routine before and they ultimately left my skin craving for the products to remain moisturized. I quit all that. Even though it's winter now, my skin has lots of moisture and shines well.

This is totally ignorant. If a dermatologist would be listening to y'all they'd be screaming.
And men have ticker skin and shave=daily exfoliate their skin.
Acne is mostly genetics and on women is highly related to high testosterone levels which are usually the highest during our periods. And we also get pregnant and ho through menopause, which men clearly don't. So we are more prompt to develope skin issues.
And men should be using skincare too, is not a gender thing.
And skincare products don't dry you out unless you bought some terrible ones from a horrible company. Matter of fact. Most products are actually hydrating and moisturizing.
Your skin is the largest organ in your body, of course you have to take care of it. Do you brush your teeth? Do you have hair products? Then you should also have skincare products.
Let's not feel so confident missinforming like that

Dermatologists just give you products to combat skin health and never tell you the underlying issues, for me - I had poor gut health from a poor diet, which made me flare up in acne every now and then, but my dermatologist kept referring me products to keep the acne at bay - it worked till it didn’t, I finally stopped and researched myself, eliminated sugars & Diary, changed my diet getting more vitamin d, acne? Gone. No skin care here. I don’t trust a word they have to say now.

@@oladeebiazazi4538 It is 100% their fault for still continuing to lead me on for monetary gain for months and letting me try out their sponsored skin care, medicating me, the acne never went away.
It wouldn’t be their fault if they said “This isn’t a skin issue this is a diet related issue, consult a nutritionist” Not one dermatologist said “Hey, maybe cut these food groups and see how your skin looks after a week” cause then that would be an easy solution, but no, know how I have a clear face after acne for 2 years? No skin care and eating well. THATS it. No spf, no cleanser, no toner. Just moisturiser after shower. 🙂 Must be nice to be a dermatologist huh? Just feed off women’s insecurities and give them bandaid solutions to problems.

Men’s skin is 20% thicker than a women’s skin. So, something to think about. Also, yes $300 is cray cray. I think eating healthy is key as well as proper sunscreen. Ageing happens, but you can help slow the process. Derms and estheticians can help, too. There’s my 2 cents. 🤷🏽‍♀️

If women's skin is more sensitive, they shouldn't cover their entire faces with chemicals like makeup practically every day, and use unnecessary products on their faces day and night. In that case, they wouldn't have so many skin issues.

There is skin care but you are doing it wrong and spending way too much time and money and not everyone should follow the same routine even if theyre skin is similar because it may be at different stages and require a different procedure. Common sense isnt so common anymore but hey if you think taking care of your face like a man which is not much at all isnt going to lead to similar results be my guest and find out

  • @XxxX-cv7mh
    @XxxX-cv7mh Před 9 měsíci +1

There is a financial interest for skincare companies and products to keep the skin in bad shape while offering a temporary fix. And since skincare is largely targeted at women's insecurities, that is why I believe a lot of women develop skin problems in the first place.
