Lula Roe is a Waste of Money

- I try out the plus size offering from Lula Roe and have some disappointing results. In short the brand sells over priced, poorly made goods, that don't fit well to plus size women who may not know any better. Plus, the shopping experience is to say the least, challenging. I would not recommend shopping there and in this video explain all the reasons why.
*** The dress I am wearing and liked is the "Carly" in olive green.

Ok, it's 2am, I'm a skinny straight man and I'm watching a video on why lula roe plus size leggings are awful... How does CZcams suck me in like this?
R C I think most of us on here know what you mean. Thanks for the laugh! :-)
HAHAHA LOL! It does that too us all- I don't even like Lula Roe- think they are crazy expensive- but I know someone who loves them so I watched this-
R C the same way a plus-sized, middle aged woman gets sucked into watching a male biker's go-pro helmet cam videos. It's the magic of CZcams! Thanks for the giggles! 😁😁
lmao
R C my friends just tried picking me up for a party I said I don't want to go cuz I did honestly I had a bad feeling, so my best friend ali picks up my phone thinking it's cys I'm talking to a guy n that's why I didn't want go. then lmao she screams historically and says why are u watching the differences of moving from usa to germany. your not going to Germany bitch lmao
One of the comments everyone who works at Lula Roe has mentioned is how the brand empowers women. Lula Roe customers and consultants have left the following comments (and more) on my video.
· “Not too busy to eat, though.”
· “I question your mental capacity”
· “I'm sorry but I'm a large 22 and the leggings, TC, fit me perfectly. There is no way that she would fit them, nor anything other than a 2x or 3x. You need to learn the true size and be honest with yourself.”
· “you jumped the gun for someone who portrays to be a expert shopper...plus you might want to focus your energies on getting healthy first and foremost.”
· “Bad consultants are to blame for your size and lack of insight on the correct size clothing for your body? You are in denial.”
· “If it's hard to find plus size clothing them don't be plus size”
They’ve chosen to fat shame me, call me a liar and also question my intelligence. They felt my critical assessments of a product justified them in making abusive comments towards me and my character. It's nice to know that to some of the LLR community a shirt is worthy of more respect than a customer with valid issues and concerns. In these cases, Lula Roe is empowering sales, at the cost of women.
You should try getting an Irma tunic they are really nice and are lose and are much bigger than everything else. 😊
I just wanted to highlight this because I was honestly trying to have a discussion about the product and the process for selling that product, however it was turned into a discussion about my intelligence and credibility as a human. I made the video for reasons I stated in the beginning- in the hopes that LLR would improve, because I want more plus options. I have learned over my business career is that if it's not broke usually a company wont fix it. I believe commentary like this has the power to create positive changes in a businesses. I hope women like you succeed, and that the company creates a no tolerance policy for bullying.
it's not hard! grab a pencil and paper
Of course they took cheap shots at you instead of acknowledging the product does not live up to the hype. I've honestly continued to buy because I love the Randy tees and I haven't had bad luck with leggings, but I completely agree with everything you said. The sizing is ridiculous. I'm an XXS in Irma, XS classic, Small Randy, Medium Nicole... Like, come on! And if it doesn't fit, you have to pay return shipping and eat the cost of the original shipping. I've met a few very nice consultants locally but I've also seen a lot of horror stories. And people do NOT like when I say that the fabric fades and pills. I know you didn't even get that far with yours, but I follow the washing instructions, don't put in the dryer, and many of my items pilled and faded after one wash. I buy a lot of stuff at Old Navy and it holds up better than this stuff that costs 3-4x as much! I believed the hype too. And Amen to your rant about fugly prints. Sorry people were so rude to you, some of them will do ANYTHING to dodge honest feedback and criticism.
This is the first time watching this video. I actually saw it while I was trying to decide what hangers to buy for my upcoming debut as a LuLaRoe Fashion Consultant. As a customer and consultant I actually agree with you on many of your points. As far as others including LuLaRoe consultants insulting and belittling you, I am so sorry. I also have purchased from a consultant that was as slow as a sloth at doing ANYTHING, a consultant who put a restriction on the Carly that she knew I wanted (she made it so I had to buy the Carly AND another item AND they couldn't be leggings. So I spent $100) THE CARLY CAME TO ME WITH A GIANT HOLE IN THE ARM -- that B1tch! So pissed about that still.... and yes I could have returned it but it was something I fixed by some stitching. .... Anyway, in general consultants who just gave LuLaRoe a bad name. But LuLaRoe as a company didn't grow legs and arms and kick me to the ground. There are crappy consultants in any business (Like It Works! Who I refuse to ever buy from them again). I digress..... There are lots of really odd things as far as groups, purchasing, etc just like you said. Another thing I can't stand is the lighting. You don't REALLY know if the colors are right unless you find a consultant whose actually using a pretty good lighting kit. Yeah, phone screens and pc screens will show different colors too but there are ways to get these colors closer to what they really are. Which is something I strive for whenever I become a consultant in the next month or so. Thank you for the video. It really helped me know what NOT to do. Cheers :)
Here after Vice's documentary about this company , who else is Here?
Me. And Lularoe isn't sold in my country...
Same
Me!
V Hg meee!
I AM HERE FOR THAT REASON ONLY , BECAUAE I REMEMBER HOW THEY CAME AT MY GIRL FOR HER REVIEW!!!!! SHE WAS WARNING US!!!!!!
Today is 12/11/2018, and LLR is going bankrupt, they have lost 1/3 of their TOP sales associates/consultants (who quit quite abruptly!!), their marketing manager has "moved on to better things" (he left SO FAST, the soles of his shoes left rubber burns on the carpet!!), they are facing BILLIONS in lawsuits, and so on... Girl, you called it over two years ago!!!
Thank You for sharing this!
Space Unicorn 😂 ‘he left so fast the soles of his shoes left rubber burns on the carpet’ I’m dead 😂😂😂😂💀💀💀
The rumors started years ago, but most refused to listen and/or believe it. Some are even STILL selling!
its still doing business had alot of lawsuits brought against them which is going after the founder etc i dont know why its still in business
Ohh thanks! I listed my only LulaRoe item the very week of this notice lol no one is interested at all.
This video aged well lmao
Because of the Vice Video on It or?

Better than the products. Fine wine.
Still aged well haha.. LulaRich
@@Nauj1017 because of a bunch of docs and shows about it. Like Lularich, the rise and fall of lularoe and a whole anti MLM community here on CZcams
their whole set up sounds like a dark web transaction
Except that if you research the dark web (especially the transactions on that Silk Road site that was shut down), those businesses were actually super reliable and gave good quality bc dealers needed to gain a name reputation and couldn't just create new pseudonyms like on Ebay, to get loyal customers, etc. so (apparently) Silk Road dealers were competitive with prices and gave high quality goods (heard about this in a Ted Talk)
It's an MLM or pyramid scheme.
Sarah Varenhorst Bet I could have gotten some good quality heroin from silk road than quality leggings from Luluroa.
Silk road is gone, but new sites on the dark web are very reliable, rating system or no one buys you must have 1000+ positive reviews. If they fuck up, sell fake they are out. It's EXTREMELY reliable. Shipping always on time as well, competitive pricing. I mean, I don't know anything about this....
@@sarahvarenhorst8297 There are new versions of silk road, and can confirm this is true. Very reliable, good quality, dealers held accountable by customers.
This is an older video, but you've been proven to be 100% correct about this criminal enterprise.
padraiggillon I, I am here.
I am finding A LOT of new LuLaRoe clothes at the local Goodwills.
I found a Carly at GW for $5, with the tags on. I figure it's OK to hang out at the house for that price
I work at Goodwill and we get lots of these items in. Every single piece is ugly and the seams don't match up and the sizing is not consistent.
This kinda makes me sad, I’ve just discovered the brand through a friend and got a pair off Mercari for like $14 and really liked them. I find the only ones I like are the Halloween print. I just ordered two more pair and I hope they are nice. Ordered them before seeing this. :(
I've been finding super cutr prints in my size almost every time tags still on
Found a bunch of dresses half off for $3/dress at my local goodwill. Got a bunch.
PS you must be pretty entertaining because I watched this entire video despite having basically no interest in this lol.
Andi Loveall same!
Andi Loveall me too
Andi Loveall same here haha
Andi Loveall lol same here

After seeing this, I canceled my meeting with a LuLaRoe rep to check out her stuff. Thanks for saving me time and money.

2020 lockdown brought me here 🤣
2020
People paid all this money for shit quality, I found new ones at the thift store for 2.00 for the leggings, and skirts for 1.50 with tags. That is what they really were worth..🤣😊😂
Georgina McAuley even that is too high. More like 10 cents.
Eh, buy them and use the material for coverings in a dorm room. Who cares if you spill beer on it.
@@AmethystEyes Clothes don't sell that cheap in thrift store 10 cents sorry
All the nasty comments from consultants make me not want to try this brand even more. You all are giving the company an even worse "review" by your words.
Well said! And she has prooved what she is saying with the pieces!!!! OBVIOUSLY she's not lyin! Geez!
you are insane. Truly look online, not in your closet. The complaints are the same, which shows its not just her being mean. It's quality control, some companies that sew their stuff, do a good job... but they GREW FAST, and obviously hired some shady companies. So it's hit or miss. And at this price, no one wants to have hit or miss.
They outsourced the manufacture of their leggings to sweatshops in China, Vietnam----the usual sweatshop countries. It's like a factory making cheap auto parts----they sew as many pairs of leggings as possible, with no concern about the seaming (there are videos of "bad" LLR leggings that have the hot dogs coming out of the crotch section of the leggings, and many of the flower prints look like vaginas).
Ummm the buying process already counted me out. I don't even care how they look or fit. I'm not getting that far to find out
Yes. What is that bidding ish? My shopping life is hard enough.
No, not like a store at all. The set up is strange. It's just not for me.
You can buy directly from Avon (I don't know about the other companies). =)
All 3 of those companies have websites where you can buy whatever they are selling any time of the day, any day of the week. There's no pop ups at 3 p.m. with a bunch of pics and women writing SOLD! under them...that's just foolish I don't get their business model...but maybe it's working on some level?
Tiffany Twisted Of course it's working, because "exclusivity!! OMG!!"
I try not to fall into *that* trap but I'm not gonna lie... I have a couple of times. Fortunately, I'm not too proud to pass on an invoice, after I have a little chat with myself about whether or not I just absolutely LOVE something, ya know?
When she said “Fugly” I lost it 😂
Lularoe is the FashionNova of MLMs.
FashionNova is fast fashion for sure, but I've gotten some cute pieces from them that get consistent compliments. LuLaRoe clothes are so ugly I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that crap
FN is just standard fast fashion. theyre nothing like LLR
5000 lularoe sellers disliked this video
The print game is terrible, like hobby lobby had a sale
It looks something a drunken middle aged golfer would wear.
All this time I thought Lularoe and LuLuLemon were the same company.
No no no no no! Lulu lemon is pricy $hit don’t get me wrong, too much for yoga pants and athletic wear, but the quality is good , the stuff is cute and it’s sold via good good old fashioned retail. Lularoe is practically a criminal MLM enterprise.
Debbie Thompson , me too.......
I think they did that on purpose, the Lularoe couple I mean...I know the Vice documentary or whatever said it was inspired by there grandchildren's names but um...funny how the combo sounds an awful lot like a non related high quality fitness clothing line that people actually really like and can rely on.
Lularoe *wishes* they were lululemon
Yeah! I shopped LulaRoe from Singapore, paid $30 a piece, because I was told LulaRoe is similar to Lululemon with extra buttery feel fabric. What a scam MLM.
"I'm sorry, sir. I'm drunk." 🤣 Immediately subbed.
Me too
Same 🤣😂
Honestly same haha!!!
If I had a dollar for every LLR pop up party I got invited to, I still couldn't afford LLR
Emily B.O. Thankfully I haven't been "invited " to one of those but jeez I can't stand it when people on my Facebook page automatically add me to whatever selling group they're trying to sell from and my Messenger beeps non stop for a couple of hours. I end up having to turn off my notifications and of course delete myself from their group which pisses them off. I've also had to deal with coworkers trying to sell me overpriced fake jewelry and pretty much everything else. If I want to buy something I'll actively seek it out on my own and buy without pressure. Ugh this kind of stuff drives me insane! 🤤
Jules BJeweled Are you talking LLR or just in general???
Sada Detroit. In general. I'm included in every type of selling party/group there is without being asked.
Elizabeth Frantes. May I ask what 5150 means?
It’s a police code meaning crazy person on the loose.
Not to mention it costs $4,000 (literally) to sign up to be s consultant and they don't even take payments for the $4000. It has to be all 1 lump sum. Sketchy.
Heather Anderson WOW WTF?? Thats literally so effing rediculously SKETCHY AF
It's more like $6,000 and that DOESNT get you leggings!
yeah its a straight up pyramid scheme
4k??? So crazy that people buy into this.
It may cost 4,000-6,000 to start up, but you make 40% profit on each item. You don't even have to sell all of your start up bundle to pay it back, just about half of it. As with any small business, there are start up costs. It's a risk you have to be willing to take.
I buy my Lula Roe at Goodwill. 😹
I work at goodwill And the amount of Lula Roe shit we have is insane
🤣🤣🤣🤣😅 and EBay! At 50 to 75% off!
I don’t understand all the dislikes. This chick is hilarious. ❤️
Harlotte O'Scara all the dislikes are from people trapped in the lula roe cult
Agreed.. all the dislikes are probably consultants and customers 🙄
It's an old video from the time people still didn't know better
Harlotte O'Scara prob LLR people lol
Leopard Eye really? i think she's so fun
You know what's confusing? getting out of these groups. I get added all the time. I think the clothes are so ugly. pretty sure the same stuff could be found at a thrift store. the prints look like a 90 year old's wallpaper.
+Jillian Lockhart, I absolutely do shop elsewhere. this is a video that I share my feelings with. to each, their own
amen!
I'm so with you! Between the poor quality, the hideous prints, and the annoying buying process... I just don't see the appeal at all!
😂😂 you just expressed everything I've felt about this clothing! I have been added to sooo many groups and left them... I thought I was the only one who felt this way cause it seems like everybody loves it????
Im just here for the comments....I never buy into pyramid scheme junk. I will stick with my walmart leggings and dont mind wearing until they give out cause I get my moneys worth out of them.
The best leggings are from JC Penny. I’ve had them for yearsssss
*OMG YES!!* WalMart's new NoBo leggings are ahmazeballs! Genuinely butter-soft immediately, and only get softer \more comfy with every wash. And for $7?? You can have them in every color!
I watched the documentary and when I saw your clip I gasped!! You were ahead of the game, sis. 💪🏾
Me too
I have never bought LuLaRoe for myself. My mom had bought me a few things. I told her to not buy me anymore. I made the decision to NEVER buy LLR after finding out they took someone's print/design and DIDN'T REMOVE the person's watermark from the design before making the clothing! Her name is printed on the clothing with her design!!
I only wear them before going to sleep or when I'm cleaning. I'm never worried or care about spilling bleach on the few LLR pieces I have.
Oh and the leggings I do have? The thread has broken on the inseam of all of them. I'm a size 0. It's not like I'm trying to squeeze into leggings too small for my size. They just suck that bad.
yeah, i think I am just going to stick with my $5 leggings from Walmart, those are well made and comfy
Jenna Poole THIS
Lula leggings are literally the softest leggings you’ll ever feel
Meghan you act like I’m a middle aged mom that sells the clothing. Just saying I’ve watched a lot of her videos and a lot of the companies she talks about have great qualities as well.

You are intelligent and articulate and by the way, you have pretty blue eyes.
"I'm sorry sir I am DRUNK I am not gonna be buying leggings" I died 😂😂😂😂
I get a hoot out of them calling themselves small business owners and "consultants." 😂
Crazy, right! It's a side hustle at best! They are third party resellers. Lularo already buy the items in, sells the to these hum bots, who try to sell them again. There is no space for revenue left at this low product quality for a reseller.
Issa Lula No for me!

Emily Force don't call her a jerk for having an opinion. Would you, personally, accept clothes with holes in it?
I want your autograph
@@emilyforce2276 no its sucks! I see there crappy clothing in thrifts stores all the time. I volunteered at one and we couldn't get rid of there... crappy clothes!!!
Who’s here after watching LuLa Rich?
BRING IT Ms Glitter!!!
OMG ! What a convoluted bunch of nonsense! The only commenters defending this brand are no doubt 100% angry “consultants” pissed off for being outed.
There clothing is cheaply made and a waste of money
That upside down pattern and miss matched seams screams cheap clothes!
and you can buy those at Belk and Dillards as well. My mother ( a perfectionist ) sewed every piece of clothing I wore until I graduated from high school ....and all the pattern of the material matched up inseam, outer leg seam, shoulder, front and side seams ....and that tends to be the first thing I look at when I'm shopping ....and I have this winter velvet pantsuit I bought - love it - I remember the first time I wore it , I happened to run my hand down the leg ---then the top and back and OMG I realized it was made with the nap up-side-down..... just dang it ! LOL... I still wear it and get aggravated every time ...lol
Torrid all they way. I just purchased 3 pairs of leggings from them and love them. and they were cheaper than Lula
I'm with you, torrid leggings are the best
Agree
It’s June 2019 & this video was made almost three YEARS ago! You, Ma’am, are a genius psychic 🤣
No one ever comments on COUNTRY OF ORIGIN (where the "clothes" are made) or what poor quality the fabrics are.
Is *anything* of theirs made of 100% cotton? Hell, no.
IF YOU DON'T LIKE DON'T BUY IT!
Amazing advice.
Lol, I know right. haha
The expectation was to like it...obviously... No one buys shit thinking now, "this is gonna suck but I really need to get rid of this $250 SOMEWHERE."
For companies that don't have a storefront you literally have to buy it in order to find out if you like it or not. Your oversimplification isn't helpful.
Not necessarily. There are several parties that you can try the product on before you buy it.
Came across this video looking for info...I'm surprised at the amount of down votes! Perhaps LulaRoe affliates?
sweetchocolatesecret or just people that like it? There are small issues I've come across occasionally but the products themselves are awesome
sweetchocolatesecret I just like it. I'm plus size and I think some of their items are amazing! For the first time in years I feel like I look good.
i would imagine word is out to thumbs down this vid from product consultants as well as to post positive/ counter opinions on it as well.
Because it's a talking head with a lot of in your face hand waving. Very annoying and hard to watch.
Margaret Smith I'm here to tell you I'm no consultant I never knew these videos were out their it just popped up as a suggested video for me and I'm just trying to say their are 2 sides to every story
"im sorry sir, im drunk!" ahahaha, thank you for your honesty
This woman was 5 years ahead of everybody else
The seaming on those leggings gave me bad flashbacks to the unfortunate pajamas I made in 7th grade home ec.
Also wanted to take a moment on one of my pet peeves: sizing. Why oh why can't we have universal sizing?!? Especially in the Internet age! This irks me most when it comes to shoes, because depending on the brand I wear anywhere from a 9.5-11. That is just nuts!
LulaRoe's clothes are cheaply made! It's funny how u made this video 8 months ago & now there's thousands of women who are mad they're leggings & tops are damaged too. LulaRoe has been in the media for the "holes in leggings" issue & charging taxes to customers who live in tax free states. I love your video & it speaks the truth about the company 100%👍🏼
The way it works is that you are FORCED to sell whatever is given to you, BLINDLy. The consultants have to pay 5k up front for like 100 pieces. And I've heard only 15-20 percent are any good. And you get stuck with hideous prints, kids/toddlers clothes, etc. You should read the consultant reviews on Glassdoor.
You are not forced to sell anything or stuck with anything.
Ummm...gotta call horse manure here. Your initial investment is for 300+ pieces. I started less than 3 weeks ago. Already made my initial investment back plus more. You're not stuck with anything. You should stop listening to whoever's telling you this stuff.
what do you do with the items that aren't selling?
The Toth Family Vlogs they charge you to return damaged items?
If you pay a restocking fee you are essentially paying for something you already paid for. So you are getting the new items for "free" but really you are out the 15% restocking fee and you can't recuperate that. If you could chose your own patterns and colors that might be ok but if they are sending you unsalable merchandise and then charging you a restocking fee that isn't really fair on your part.
Got here after a vice video on LLR, suddenly remembers this video is the reason I subscribed to you! 😀
I'm re-watching this video too after Vice.
I did the same thing. I got some Lula rue for free because some people we're giving them away or else I would not have them. I like some prints but refuse to pay a lot.
I laughed when someone told me they found LLR at the thrift store. The thrift store couldn't sell them. Obviously they had their reasons.
Umm I find Lula with tags still on frequently at resale shops so whatever sis
I see LLR every single time I go thrift shopping 😂 It’s not worth it for me to try to resell those styles in my shop. I personally don’t like 90% of the prints and the quality is pretty thin IMO.
We all need to learn to sew our own clothes. Pick fabric you love.
Milly Toastling I wish I knew how to sew.
👍🏽 Working on it
Milly, home sewing used to be economical but the cost of fabric and notions is prohibitive. It's so much easier and cheaper to buy clothing.
Know how to sew, but fabric is cheap, ugly and expensive.
grittykitty50 like from the thrift store, for example?
I love all the brain washed people trying to defend a very obvious pyramid scheme but the proof is in that AWFUL QUALITY! In multiple items! Thanks for this review- I've been invited to a ton of those FB groups and really turned off by that whole process. I've heard good things about the leggings, but your video was my first time seeing them in real life. I'll stick with my usual ones from Torrid. You're also hilarious so thank you haha
Pyramid schemes are illegal. Companies like lularoe are not pyramid schemes.
J. Powers it's Multi Level Marketing which could be argued as a type of pyramid scheme. The concept is basically the same except MLM means there are actual products being sold with networking. So no, it's not illegal but its built on the basics of pyramid companies.
@@jpww1814 Hmmm, I wonder why they got in so much trouble with the FTC and had to completely restructure their business model.... Use your head as something other than shoulder decoration.

@@jpww1814 Pyramid schemes are indeed illegal, and companies like LuLaRoe are breaking the law because they are pyramid schemes.

hahaha I have SO many friends that sell this Lularoe crap. I have never bought nor will I ever in the future. The prices are ridiculous.
+Alessandra Kimpton are you serious?! You are what's wrong w/women's self esteem now a days.
never have shopped at a walmart but thanks, not insulting anyone just the clothes
This is so odd. I wear a size 10 and can still fit into the tall & curvy size being 8 months pregnant. If they can go over my very large belly and stay put I would assume they could cover a size 12 butt. I also love my consultant she makes shopping very easy.
I'm not sure where you buy your clothing, but the prices for LuLaRoe are great! Cute clothing and usually fit most people really well.
The leggings look like they've already been worn and washed repeatedly. Like you were sold used goods as new, yuck.
Amy F they are brand new items
no they are not
That's exactly what I think whenever I see their product.
Just don't go for MLM companies. Period.
The bottom line is you are 100% correct. From a business aspect they are a death sentence these days. Everyone else in the comment section from wanna-be's and losers is just ego's unchecked looking for a like or a follow. Shallow world.
Well, you stopped me from sticking my money into a shitty company and I thank you!

Wtf I hate the fact they are making this crap for NO one because No one wants this fugly shit
I remember seeing this when it first came out and the comment section was filled with nothing but hate and hunns, now it’s filled with love and support towards your opinion. It just goes to show how deeply people get into this and become entrapped with this idea that it’s a good thing, but a scam is a scam. I’m glad you still kept this video up.
Listening to your breakdown of how to buy items during "shop hours" and I'm all "F THAT". That is waaaaaay too much work.
Whereas you can buy on Amazon 24/7!
Amen. To me they are a giant scam: cheap materials, cheaply made, charged at high prices and idiotic sales tactics.
R Acenag yessss. Everything i own that is lularoe has holes, the fabric got all pilled from wearing it ONCE! And god forbid I washed them they get 10x worse. Really sad for the price point being sooo fucking high lol
Stephanie Maugeri, no LuLaRoe is amazing I've had my LuLaRoe for over 2 1/2 years they and r so comfy and made well I know LOTS OF PEOPLE who have never gotten a SINGLE hole in their leggings! If u have so many holes on ur LuLaRoe it's ur fault... not LulaRoe's.
R Acenag unbelievable, people! Do you have any things better to do than to support this cheap Chinese product? Be patriotic, for Goodness sake. Or support your local business.
@Zac Crow those consultants are dummies that get pulled in into a cult like any other mlm
"who the hell did the seeming?" probably some young women in a sweatshop in a third world country who is hardly making enough to survive
And was never properly trained to sew.
It’s Child labour in a filthy factory Im guessing, they would be
Forced to cut what they can & as much as they can from a crappy piece of fabric etc then try to jigsaw the pieces together & sew as fast as they can
Which actually adds to the list of the many reasons why Lularoe sucks.
Soo...you're telling me luxury cheesecloth is not a thing?
It is clear you did your research, you have experience and you care very much about your customers. This girl appreciates it!
Lula Roe seller was at my local fair. I found a nice dress that I thought my mom would like for her birthday. I was thinking it was simple enough to be $20. I then ask the lady how much it is because they don't put the fucking prices on the tags for some reason. She then proceeds to tell me the dress was $70 something. I almost had a heart attack. Why is it so fucking expensive??????
I just heard about this company a week ago, and I don't know why but I'm hooked on watching their downfall. Great video, love your presentation and your overall vibe! Keep up the good work!
I worked marketing (for a short period of time) for a Lula consultant and my job was to not only research their strengths but their weaknesses. Once I started finding the PLETHORA of negative info, I was OBSESSED with finding anything and everything about the company because I could not understand how they were even a company. Not only that but a lot of the consultants won't admit that it's a pyrmid scheme. I tried to show the consultant I was working for an unending amount of evidence contrary to what she thought and she still wouldn't believe. I knew then that the koolaid was real. It's so sad. I would say that I feel bad for the consultants but they should have done their homework. It was facinating to see how ignorant most of the consultants were. That was over six months ago and the negative press, social media negative pages on Lula haters, and lawsuits keep building.
Gennevieve Grea. I have only one positive point to make about LLR. I have a friend who has a particular disease (I can't remember the name?) but it makes every single nerve on her body feel like it's on fire. She has to apply lidocaine before she can put clothes on. LLR leggings, due to them being so soft are the only "pants" she can wear. Literally. She kept talking about LLR but I never knew what she meant til recently, after watching these videos.
I agree that some of their leggings are awesome! Sorry to hear about your friend and her quality of life. I have to say that most of the time I'm also in my Lula leggings (that I got for free lol). They are quite comfortable and really are #betterthannopants
Gennevieve Grea. Thank you! ❤ I never realized what she was talking about for so long, she kept saying her LulaRo's. At least now I can have a more comprehending look on my face.
Jules BJeweled no
I get leggings from walmart, they have the butter leggings for $4 the same material I've never gotten a hiole and they go from small to like 3x.
Stephanie Pratt 100%
Exactly! Especially since they have to be switched out every so often. Goin cheap makes sense. This is so annoying.
Stephanie Pratt No LuLaRoe has very good leggings if u don't a couple patterns then u don't so go away
Heather Barrick She never said anything about the prints. And pray tell, where are these "good" prints? Because I've never seen one that I, as an self respecting adult married woman, would be comfortable wearing to check my mailbox let alone in public.
Heather Barrick what?! “If u don’t a couple patterns then u don’t so go away” --translation????
And no, they’re not “very good”
When you said Giant triangle mass on my butt I literally laughed out loud and spit all over my screen🤣🤣🤣
babyyvie I know. I think she should try being a comedian
Happy Day yes!
This video aged like Amazon stock from 2005
their Sizing is flipping off the wall! I'm sorry but there is NO way you can make me believe that something is going to fit a 12 AND a 22 AT THE SAME FREAKING TIME!!!! and how is it possible to be a M in a shirt, a 2X in a other shirt, a L in a skirt....come on!!!
choirkitty I'm a big girl I wear size 24/26 jeans normally and I can fit into the tc leggings so idk what this lady is talking about
choirkitty i dont understand their sizing. I'm 4'10" and a size 0. their leggings fit me perfectly. Apparently their "os" leggings fit up to size 10. There's no way a size 10 could fit into leggings that fit my tiny size 0 ass perfectly.
Jamie Anderson I wear a 10 and I wear OS just fine!
Micahlene Mehl i guess it depends on your build then!
Its called spandex. They stretch. And they stretch to fit up to a size 12.
Got invited to one of these girly get togethers over the summer. The clothing is 95% ugly and 100% OVERPRICED. Don't waste your time or money! If you think the ladies stuff is overpriced.. Check out the prices on the children's clothing- ridiculous!
"...please God don't cause it's the worst", I laughed so hard!
I only buy LulaRoe leggings from Salvation Army! I seem to find a whole lot of them there... wonder why 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Same !! Its worth the money their and goodwill 😂
I have had a few less than idea experiences with LuLaRoe, but the overwhelming majority of my purchases have been fantastic! Their dresses, leggings, and shirts have all been flattering, comfortable and cute for me. I'm an educator and I really enjoy the Nicoles, ana, and Amelia's for work - as a size 24, it can be tough to find cute school clothes, but these work perfectly for me.
+Susie Q because you're a registered nurse, validates this company's quality? I thought your area of expertise was medicine, not clothing.
Every time I hear about MLMs I have to say "World Wide Dream builders is a scam." Makes me so mad that a friend is into it. He is so convinced its awesome even though he never makes money and has to work so hard for his "mentors." If you have a friend in LLR, I'm sorry.
I hated Lue laroe right from the get go. Never bought into the scam. Some friends did and lost their shirts! Bad crap!
And of course the lady that you used who had it together stopped selling Lularoe. Makes you wonder what happened.
also who the heck wants the same shirt just in different patterns? lol what
A lot of people.
I'm the person who finds a cut of shirt I like and buy a bunch of them in different colors.
just seems weird to me.. i want different clothing, in different styles.. just seems boring.. just my take on it. everyones different
+Lyn za Indeed. I just wear the same five outfits most of the time, so clearly variety overwhelms me.
I have lots of the same style in different prints and fabrics. I'm a mom of a one year old and a three year old with a full time job. How forgiving the clothes are and that I know how it will fit (for the most part) is very helpful. Not having to haul my two kids to the mall is a huge plus. It's clearly not for everyone, but there are lots of us that really like it. Go to Pinterst and look up Lularoe to see how people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and edginess are able to make it their own.
Wait it gets worse, if you had worn the leggings you would of found out that wearing them once or twice puts holes in the thigh area.
Mine didn’t do that I’ve worn them like 10 times
Z'slife76 “mines”????? Grammar much??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Blue Phoenix haha I didn’t even notice
I never had a problem with printed leggings but the first time I wore a plain black pair, by the end of the night I had multiple holes large and small all on the butt. Thank GOD I was wearing a long enough shirt but it was sooo embarrassing.
Z'slife76 Same.
This is crazy ... I watched this video 4 years ago when I was obsessed with lularoe and it changed my mind. I didn't even know who Anna was and now I watch all of Anna's uploads and didn't even realize it was the same person until now. I came full circle!
I remember watching this video when it was new- way to call them out! What do you think of the recent news and media attention?
You are hilarious. You are so right. I'm a size 2 and the one size leggings were a little too tight on my stomach. Their clothes are ugly and cheap. They have cuter clothes at Walgreens.
Ha! Every spring for the last ten years or so, my daughter hits up Walgreens and/or Rite Aid for one or two of those wild-print cotton dresses and some sandals to go with them. Inexpensive throw-on-after-a-hard-day's-work-in-the-summertime clothes, and she's always cute as a bug in them.
I have gotten a few great things at the CVS around the corner, lol. I just stitch the hems and voilà!
The clothes are expensive
Corinne Cerminaro is it another crap made in China or from cheap Chinese fabric which goes on sale after Thanksgiving?
And not to mention wash them one time (even air drying) they are straight see through and pill up like crazy and the seams bunch up.
Have you ever considered sewing your own clothes? I know that may sound crazy, but I'm in a sewing group on FB (website is www.patternsforpirates.com) and they have patterns for pretty much every style that LLR sells. There are SO many plus size gals in that group who have found such confidence in making clothes that fit their body, and everything is super simple to follow. Most ladies in there are sewing newbies.
OOOH I actually used to sew all of my own clothing because options sucked so much. I even hand painted my own fabrics. Ive recently been thinking of revisiting it.
Yes, do it! They actually released a swimsuit pattern this Summer that looked amazingly flattering on everyone who made it, no matter the size. Plus, the FB group is super-supportive and helpful for anyone from beginner to advanced.
Honestly I've gotten so much unnecessary crap from this video I am going to make a video of alternatives and include P4P! So THANK YOU!!!
you're welcome! have fun!
I love this comment!!! When a friend first showed me the hecka expensive dresses, I was like ummmmm I have a sewing pattern that looks just like it! And $65 is what I would pay for a nicer fitted woven dress...kills me they try to charge that price. Disgusts me. LuLaRoe is a prime example of why I try to sew my clothes before I buy stuff like this UGH
This video was way ahead of its time...
Some people have likened Lula Roe to a cult, easy to get into and real hard to get out of. I have yet to see proof to the contrary.
I thought I was the only one that was shocked by how junky my items were! I'm not plus sized and I've seen SO much variation in the legging sizes... it's ridiculous. Plus those leggings don't hold up at all they're made out of like cheese cloth
Patricia DB if you want leggings with the same feel but cost less try viv collection leggings
I'm checking them out now.
I have never liked Lula Roe. Not to mention I have never seen a pattern I actually liked, like you said the buying process seemed really odd. By the time I knew what they were I had already seen an exposé on them talking about the poor quality of thier clothing. Let me tell ya, I have three pair of AMAZINGLY SOFT leggings I bought at Wal-Mart with super cute patterns. They all fit perfect on my 2x ass (and they were a size XL) and they have lasted over a year with no holes and the best part is I ONLY PAID $5 A PAIR!! 😉 Sorry for your bad luck and thank you for warning the rest of us!
Girl, yes! I love my Wal-Mart leggings! They're so soft & comfy. Plus, they have the cutest prints!
It came with holes -- WOW!! The pattern matching is terrible. You are hilarious.
This video from 2016 continues to age well haha
People make fun of Walmart all the time, but I'll happily take my comfy $7 capri jeggings from them any day. They've lasted over three years, too.
Google Approved I feel like Walmart has been stepping up their clothing game really well lately. I love everything I've purchased from them lately and I never used to shop for clothing there
Google Approved I got some yoga pants at Walmart about 6 years ago. They are one of the only items from that long ago that still fits me and the fabric is actually super good quality. Not see through at all. They are still some of my favorite lounge pants (& I have a degree in apparel production!)
Google Approved i love walmart leggings
I have friends that sell LLR, and lipSense, and Mary Kay (ugh, how many parties did I get dragged to!?), and jamberry and Younique and Plexus...I can respect their decisions to do that with their lives, but I seriously HATE being added into a Facebook group about it, or being pressured by a friend to go to a Mary Kay party "because I'll get a free product!" UGH. Just. Stop. I always leave these groups but they come back and back as more people start them. Unfortunately, I can't get away from Plexus completely because it's a family member on FB :(. Oh well. My opinion is that sales are sales. And I don't want to be sold to. I want to buy things in my own time, and in my own way, and with my own budget.
Hillary Adamson. I've been added to every single selling group on Facebook without anyone asking me 1st. And....i hated it when coworkers would pressure me to buy crap that they're selling on the side. I always refused. I had to go out on disability after I had a botched spine fusion but just prior to quitting a (bitch!) coworker told me to buy an ugly brass cuff for $150 (no way!!!!!) And when I refused she said to me loudly in front of everyone "you must not really be in pain or you'd by this bracelet!". No, I just don't believe in wasting money on b.s. items that don't actually work. Jeez I was mad!
If someone adds you to a group without your permission, you have permission to flick them right in the eyeball.

Omg I'm so sorry lol. she sells all that crap? That's gotta be so damn annoying!! Like you want to be a good supportive friend but don't want to buy all that literal crap she sells.that's so Terrible.
"Monkeys with keyboards" hahahaha that cracked me up!!
Yeah, way too complicated to buy during my favorite time to buy leggings- middle of the night after eating a pint of Oreo Breyers and crying with my cat.
The fabric is cheep an gwady looking
Why is gwady? U must mean gaudy !
I am 5'6", 200 lbs., dress size 18-20, bigger on the top than the bottom - overall, weirdly shaped and uncomfortable about it. Until this past year, I had never found a store that had clothes that fit me and looked decent. Everything was always too little or too big, and so I lived in basketball shorts and Tshirts at home, and learned to be OK with always being frumpy at work (until I could get home and throw on my shorts and Tshirt). Then I found LulaRoe. A friend who knew my struggles recommended it to me and I fell in love (as a customer - I want to note that I am definitely not a consultant). I bought a pair of leggings and eventually a dress. Within a year I have hosted two parties and yes, spent too much money, and now own upwards of 30 pieces in 10 or so styles. I have finally learned to love clothing and to be OK with how I look. It's comfortable, and for the first time I feel like I can look nice and not have to hide.
I'm sorry this has not been your experience. It is also disheartening that so many other ladies are having the same negative experience as you. My good experience certainly doesn't discredit your negative one, but I did want to share mine here as well.
You do make several points I agree with:
-Some of the patterns aren't fantastic. Even some that I have purchased aren't my favorite, but surprisingly they look better on.
-Some of the sizing is, indeed inconsistent. I have three medium Irma shirts and only one is long enough in the front to cover my crotch properly if I'm wearing leggings as pants. I also have two pairs of leggings (out of 7 or 8 total) that seem to be cut larger than the others, but they all look and feel great.
I know that I should expect more from a company, but the fact is, my experience has consistently been more positive than negative, which is not true about any other clothing brand or store for me.
A few final thoughts-
First, have never purchased an item with damage, but I have heard of people who have. The consultants who sold you those items should be ashamed. They take those out of the package to photograph them, and if they saw they were flawed, they shouldn't have sold them to you in the first place.
Second, the prices you mentioned are not consistent with any of the groups I belong to or have bought from. Again, that may have been a consultant error, or you're including shipping. The Carly you're wearing should have only been $55 and the leggings are $25.
Lastly, the shopping method is definitely unorthodox, but the other issues you mentioned (quality, invoicing, albums staying up when shopping is closed) can easily be avoided by not buying from random consultants, especially not ones starting out. I only buy from people I know, and a few of the original consultants like Danielle and Tiffany. They have been doing this for awhile and have a huge buyer bases because they have good business practices. Anyone else is risky in my mind.
Anyway, I hope you read this super long comment/novel. I'm not out to change your mind, I just wanted to share a different, non-consultant view.
If you do read it, perhaps drop a suggestion for another store or brand that you do like that I should try. Don't say Torrid though, already did that, doesn't work for me.
Thanks!
Shipping is part of the cost of an item if you can only get it by having it shipped to you. No stores = shipping as part of the cost.
Lularoe probably buys it from the cheapest store somewhere in China
When I first heard of them I looked at a website and saw ONE dress that I liked for me. Not that everything was ugly - they just weren't suitable for me. Then I realized that no one could tell me where to buy that particular item and that dealers don't have access to every item. I realized I didn't have time for this noise and quit trying.
80 things that are fugly, and one thing that’s cute 😂🤣
I got screwed by lularoe with so much. I refuse to buy ANYTHING from them again.
Thank you for this video! I know it’s old but speaking out against MLMs especially extra predatory ones such as lulano is so important. Instant sub!
You didn’t even talk about the specific washing you have to do. 🙄
