The Acadia is an extremely important vehicle for GM. This market segment is one of the most lucrative, and of course, competitive. The problem with these new cars across all the brands is affordability; they are all chasing upper middle class customers, and leaving the bottom 30% with no product whatsoever. UAW is on strike asking for big raises; how is that going to work out? With a 10% bump in price, pushing the number of weeks at median wage to purchase a car at an all time high... It's a kind of doom loop for the big 3.
You are very skilled at talking about the car with clarity and specificity. Nice job.
I don’t think Pilot is even close to Acadia or the upcoming Traverse. Both suvs offer more power and torque, better luxury interior, more tech and most importantly more space. New Pilot to me was a let down. Needs a refresh asap!
Hopefully GM finally has suppliers that can provide a decent, robust steering rack. I realize there are bugs to work out since it's such a new technology..... . This is coming from a former owner of 8 GMs.
True.. but the transverse is notorious for being unreliable, an Hondas are well know to be reliable. That’ll be the difference
pilot has them both beat in terms of reliability.
plus the pilot isn't luxury oriented.
Really love the changes they did with this for sure, I think it was needed and makes the SUV look even better.
Beautiful, I want one now. Best review show ever, keep it up.
Thanks Chris! Stay tuned for more.
Any extra storage under the liner in the back?
As new Mid-sized SUV continues to roll out they will continue to be better than a Honda Pilot. Thank you Joe& Lori for this great review as always!
I've got a 2019 acadia all terrain I put 200k on it. It really stood up to my abuse. I'm sold for now, I'll get one of these new at4 or hopefully at4x if they release it.
Hardest working car review team in the game!
I really appreciate you saying that David
Joe doesn’t get much sleep. Love the uploads
You better believe it! Thank you fir letting me bring it all to you!
Just bought that exact AT4 for my wife today. Lifetime drive train warranty.
What’s the traction control , locking diff? Limited slip etc?
I have a 2019 in I love mines I can’t wait cause I’m definitely grabbing this forsure
how does this compare to the 2024 traverse z71 as in interior space, which one has more room
Your videos are the best! Thank you
As always Joe's nice car review is very informative. May I ask you what watch are you wearing I kinda like it men👍
Thank you my friend! It is a Citizen Eco Drive
Hi, Joe, this is an incredible review as always this GMC at4 Acadia off-road trim looks great little reminiscing Chevrolet Silverado this trim is credential off-road because of the skid plate and gun metallic tyres however one thing especially I liked to get into third row seat move out of the way give plenty of room to get in 2.5L turbo inline-four cylinders all-wheel drive making 328 hp and 326 pound-feet of torque you give a 5000 towing capacity as well family sedan overall this car is premier thanks
Thanks for letting me share this one with you!
Excellent video Joe!
Thank you my friend!
@@RaitisRidesYou're welcome bestie!
Thanks my friend
I'm digging this. I have a 2018 GMC Terrain and it's paid off. GMC is tough and works great in the snow when it hits TX lol. My wife wants a bigger SUV and I said, this 2024 Arcadia might be the one!
That is so awesome to hear!
Raitis the man 💯
I absolutely loved my Acadia and always recommend it to everyone. That is, until my ECM went out, GMC updated their software, I can’t use a refurbished or used one and they have new ones on back order. Don’t know if or when they’ll ever make new ones to purchase.
So now, I have an entire SUV that I can’t even drive that’s sitting in my driveway! 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️😳🤨😡
That is so fantastic! Thank you for sharing your great ownership input.
Not fantastic, come on Joe u need to actually read the comments
@@Sarah-fo1pn Exactly. When I saw his comment, it was very clear he didn’t read my response! 🤨
@@RaitisRideslmao. Wth
That is fantastic if you’re an ECU salesman
I really love my 2017 all terrain acadia with only 2 rows, i want to know if that'll make a return if so ill upgrade
This is professional grade 👏
I like what you did there!
Surprised that GMC Acadia has been looking amazing for its 3rd Redesign Next-Generation. And Joseph Raiti is the GOAT!.✊🏼✊🏼🙌🏻🙌🏻
what colors are going to be available
Simply awesome. 1 zonk, they should have put the 3rd row seat a little bit to the back.
Does the at4 come with heated and ventilated seats?
First viewer and commenter again. Why do I have to say to many times?! Acadia is best mid-size SUV, PERIOD! Never mind, I'm not first LOL.
Thank you for your dedication
First ever to be the first to see a video in youtube, and more special if it is Raitis Rides
That means the world!
It would have been nice if they had black rims to match the trim. I love the design and white color scheme. What's the maintenance overall on this vehicle?
Looks great .
HUGE step up for GM and GMC. Our complaints are finally being addressed about GM interiors
This GMC Acadia Compared with:
- BMW X7
- Audi Q7
- Mercedes GLS
- Ford Explorer
- Chevrolet Traverse
- Dodge Durango
- Kia Telluride
- Hyundai Palisade
- Honda Pilot
- Toyota Highlander
- Nissan Pathfinder
- Cadillac XT6
- Lincoln Aviator
- And more
The Elevation & Elevation Premium trim will be a more direct comparison to the Pilot. I realize those weren't available at the auto show since they want to show off the top end Denali and "rugged" AT4.
Hi Joe! Love your reviews and you and Lori do GREAT work.
I have a question… have you ever thought about including air conditioning performance as part of your review?
AIR CONDITIONING PERFORMANCE recent experience …
Would not buy:
Mazda CX-9
Jeep Grand Cherokee L
Would buy:
GMC Yukon
As I have now test driven multiple vehicles in advance of me purchasing, I have noticed there is significant variation in Air Conditioning Quality between vehicles.
Above is my preliminary feedback.
Jeep was horrible. Mazda was bad. GMC Yukon was incredible
Next up, Lexus GX 550 (when it arrives)
If you did reviews on the air conditioning, you would be the only car reviewer in the industry that I am aware of that does that, and that would make you even more unique
That is some awesome feedback! Stay tuned!
The new Acadia’s are a definite improvement. the windshield angle on the previous generation always looked awkward to me.
My Wife has been thinking about replacing her VW Atlas and so far this is the 24 we are the most intrigued by.
For the most part I think the styling is great. I do like the headlights better on the previous version, but the fogs may be more functional. I think they should have kept the option for the 3.6l instead of going turbo, even though the horsepower is similar to the old iteration. Inside I'm glad to see the panoramic roof and the super cruise. I'm on the fence with the new design shifter. Where I think GMC missed the mark is with the seats. i was personally really hoping to see the massage seats that come standard in the Sierra AT4X.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and input on this one.
They are standard on the at4x
How does this compare to jeep grand cherokee L limited? PLEASE PLEASE do a comparison
I would have this a weekend vehicle for some off-road fun and a Corolla as my daily driver.
Now that sounds like a perfect garage setup
I love this houdan that my favoris too ratios s thank for vidéo
Yes!
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
GMC is doing an amazing job with this Acadia I can’t wait for the POV drive and to buy it thanks for the video raiti this is just amazing 💪😄
I really like the new looks.
Can you put a car seat in the third row of this new Acadia or the New Traverse?
Lately, GM is doing better job with its vehicles...I love it!
Yeah, I would absolutely get the Acadia AT4
Looks so nice! Much better than Asian ones ! Buy American 🇺🇸 support our brands !
Love the new Acadia and it's so nice 🔥🔥🔥
I’m so glad that you are digging it Jeremy
We had a 21 Acadia SLT, chyenne Red with elevation package, beautiful suv. Miss it, just didnt like the mpg. Honestly thought it was plenty roomy.
Finally!! the first decent Acadia design, now it looks as part of the GMC line
I think you are so very right about that!
The GMC Acadia looks better than the Honda Pilot. I think GMC has a winner with this one.
That is so awesome!
YOUR BIGGEST KENYAN FAN RIGHT HERE, AS USUAL, 18/09/2023
You are the best my fan!
Joe, the light on this video was . . Not te right one. Some flash maybe for these reviews inside of a closed area
Looks better and more upscale than the Honda, but the Honda will last more miles....imo
That gmc 4ci is going to be like always 🥴
How do you know? American Cars can go many many miles before they go wrong. Asian brands treated me the worst. Every brand takes a different approach to fix
@user-io9bs9px6l yea but Toyota and Honda have a very very good reliability reputation that is known over the world over the years and millions of miles
@@user-io9bs9px6l my friend I drive many American cars v8 only for me
NOTHING with a turbo last long
They did a great job. 👍🏻
I want one
Generally yes, though it does have some faults. Seems like an 8/10
I like GMC stuff - good reports from the auto show mongo : P

*I ABSOLUTELY LOVE* this 2024 refresh ! Wow !!! 🛞
Would have been VERY interested in this if it hadn’t grown 10-11 inches. Now it won’t fit in my garage. Guess I’ll go with the Grand Cherokee instead. Thanks, always enjoy your videos.
I can understand how you feel about the size
GMC should have kept the Acadia the same true mid size that to me was perfect. I can understand the 4 cylinder turbocharged and the total refresh but no need to make everything larger than it needs to be because larger isn’t always better but it is however always more expensive. Now the Acadia blends in with the rest and it’s exactly the same as the Chevy Traverse. Joe I love it but GMC should have kept the Acadia the tad smaller more nimble size it so perfectly was. Thanks Joe and Lori for an awesome review!
For smaller you can get terrain
It would be exclusive for the Cadillac xt6
yo. I was gonna comment this. now I am really looking forward for the refreshed XT6, the new chevy and GMC suvs are fantasitc@@kennethrosario6706
@@e8ook981the 2023 Acadia is actually the size I prefer. Not the compact Terrain. You totally missed the exact ideal of the premise to my post. I'm not rewriting it. See original post. It's easily understood.
I wish they had kept the original size also. Terrain is too small. Acadia was perfect, It was just right. If this one is too big I won't get it.
@@TheDiveWatcher
Scrap the 3rd row, price it at $32k
reminds me of a kia telluride
I'll go Traverse Z71
hey joe, i know this is a comparison between the pilot and the acadia, but the rear reminds me a lot of the all new grand highlander, with the main difference being that it can come with dual exhausts on both sides, instead of just one on each side
I can totally see that! Good call!
Well shit was going to get a gmc terrain at4 2024 but i think i might get the acadia as my last car in 2026
Is it as reliable as my 06 Pilot has been? Doubtful. Time for a new Pilot
Nice job, Raiti but I personnelly don't like the look or the fact that it's now 4cyl. only the only thing they did right, IMO is finally it bigger and nicer materials inside.
You are not the first to say that!
I'm predicting a "Is the 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 a better choice than the Chevy Traverse Z71?" video coming soon.
Looks like a bigger tougher Terrain
I think that is what they are going with.
Both the people who take it off road will wish they had a Jeep. Just get the Denali. The new Acadia is very nice.
I can’t believe I’m about to trade in my 2022 BMW X5 for this. Am I insane? Am I loosing my mind? It feels like it. That infotainment layout is haunting my dreams. It makes more sense in portrait with maps at eye level same as I have now but then extra space to display my Apple Music in a small box below it AND!!! Huge beautiful PHYSICAL AC controls. One fan control so it all stays synced. I’m constantly diving deep into the BMW AC menu to sync the 4 zone fans. It’s too much. And now all physical AC buttons are gone on bmw 2024, buried in a newer screen fkk that. The fan controls is a 3 step screen glance. With a free crash 😂. Bye bye bmw. Ok so the rear cupholders are positioned so that I can use them even in the front. I am a total wierdo that carries 3 drinks. I’ll have coffee, water thermos, and either a tea or a Diet Coke because I never know which one I want to drink when I wake up. If I’m in this vehicle I can have them all within arm reach. Not to mention American cupholders are quite larger. Ok so the middle going from rear to screen I get 2 massive cup holders, a middle console depth of a small suitcase, 2 more massive cup holders, then phone cubby. NO BUTTONS ON THE MIDDLE CONSOLE ❤that usually get sticky when my Coke gets jilted or spills a splash. Then there’s the off road suspension. I’m actually able to drive this faster on side roads going over all the pot holes it’s like an air suspension because it is, much more air in these tires. Who knew I’d enjoy that. I avoid highways which are always parking lots and also the only place my AWD X5 shines or used to anyways when it could actually move on the highway. Side roads the X5 sucks. Not to mention how much more safe I’m going to feel in the GMC with all that height. Floating higher than all the rodents that usually try to rage me off the road. Not anymore. I can’t get over that screen. The Chevy sister version won’t sell as well as this one simple because it does not have this screen. It feels like the took the interior dash of a Land Rover, the side curves and rear side windows of the X5 and the face of thier badest truck with bear claws. It’s like the perfect baby.
Diesel engine option, please GMC
Nice care but that guy couldn't talk if you taped his fingers together. Wonder how many people got poked in the eye talking to him.
Acadia with 2.4l turbo is no match for Honda Pilot V6 or MDX.....which is super reliable and powerful AWD. Only fools go for turbo 2 or turbo 2.5😜😜😜😜🤪😝😝😝😝😝😜😝😝🤪🤪😝😜
Zonking the exposed rear wiper on the new 2024 GMC Acadia that’s a zonk.
I am sorry that you feel that way.
I would go Honda.
It looks a little like the old Pilot. Lol
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Raiti ! 😁
You are very welcome Tom
Say joe is this awd
Yea it is
@@RaitisRides word
The older models second row seats are not comfortable
Anything is better than the Pilot.
I’m glad that you think so
@@RaitisRidesI don’t really like the new pilot interior it’s just copy and paste from the civic.
Any news if gmc is planning to make an AT4X oh I’m sorry the AT4 🙅♂️😂😂😂
That would be cool if they did!
How is hostess not a sponsor yet.
Tell me about it lol
Hostess just got bought by Sumckers. So now they'll be Smuckers Twinkies.
Besides the mpg the 2018-2020 was the best styling on the saturn platform with the LED front lights. Since then boring
Thanks for your thoughts on this one.
Yes except the shifter 😢
Tell me about it!
Whaaat a bigger Twinkie hauler . LOL
They cut corners on the design and features .
"Substinance?" That's not a thing.
Anything is better than the Pilot and Grand Highlander, the real question how it will stack up against the Telluride and CX90
Very good points!
My guess is that it will lose against MSRP telluride and driving dynamics to CX90. Otherwise great and competitive
The third row is for kids not adults
Who says that?
It’s a GM. Compare the number of pilots from 15 years ago to the number of GMC first gen Acadias. The Acadias went to the scrap heap years ago. That 3.6 GM was garbage.
This engine will be worse! A 4 banger on a huge vehicle spells disaster unless you drive like an Asian or a person 75 yrs +
@@stavroslask1292 we ordered a pilot because I still wanted a V6.
Actually the engine wasn't the problem, but instead the timing chain guides were plastic and wore out prematurely! I definitely agree that the Honda is a much better vehicle longevity wise!
@@stavroslask1292no it will not the cx9 has been a 4 banger for years
@@2steaksandwiches665 I’m getting a passport for the V6 for my wife. It’s smaller than the pilot. NO CVT also. I can’t stand CVT. They lag and whine when you floor them. I usually floor the car at every light. Hahahah
Lot of good here, but the side view looks borings and way too much like a Honda Pilot.
Yes better than Honda pilot
America number one
I'm interested in what the actual MPG's are. It's only 50 lbs. heavier. Maybe a little more on the AT4. Guessing 20 to 22 in town and 25 to 26 on the highway.
Pilot all the way better and way reliable
Thanks for sharing your vote!
GMC vs Honda? GMC
I knew the Yukon was a better option😉This Acadia is still good though.
Totally understandable
2024 Traverse z71 looks better imo
Nope! The interior update looks great, but the exterior is a fail, in my opinion. I love the look of the current gen. This one just looks bloated and honda pilot-ish.
