This just made up my mind for my next vehicle. I drive a 2018 Terrain right now that I love dearly, but this has that same feel with space to fit my third baby (coming in February)!🎉🎉🎉
Congratulation. In my case I am down one kiddo so I will go down in side from the Yukon Denali. This is a nice alternative but will stay w the Denali brand.
I absolutely LOVE her energy and I don’t even have kids living at home anymore lol. Like 13 years out empty nesters. Still love her!
Yeah she's great!
I absolutely LOVE this! I work for a GM dealer outside of Pittsburgh PA, and am so ready for these to start hitting the ground! I am for sure going to go the 24 Acadia route for my next vehicle whenever my lease is up next year!!
I am North of the burg, and very interested in test driving this, had planned on Yukon, but like the size of this better. Do you have any idea when you will be getting these at your dealership? I am a little concerned about the 4 cylinder, I watched a video on the Chevy Traverse 2024 model and it was loud accelerating. I spoke to a salesman at Riverview Auto in North Huntington, they have a Denali I am interested in, they expect it anywhere from end of May to beginning of July.
Thank you Kia and Hyundai for making EVERYONE step their game up... This is as nice as our Palisade...
This is nicer than the palisade tbh
I *hate* it when manufacturers limit which trim line you can get based on captain’s chairs or not. I am always going to want max seating (bench seats) and I don’t feel like I should be penalized for that by prohibiting me from getting the features I want/need. Shame on you, GMC.
Couldn’t agree more. Was TICKED when I was building a Denali online and they did not offer 2nd row bench.
Look at The Car Mom getting the first look at this stunner! Congratulations and so so so happy to see GM adding that middle head rest. I really love the extra cubby under the console. I couldn’t tell if the climate control was buttons and knobs or was it integrated in the screen?
It's a knob
I’m blown away by the way you are explaining that new GMC that looks not only amazing 🤩 but your knowledge is incredible. Excellent video!!
Great job! I’ve been watching dozens of CZcams automotive reviewers/presenters over the past few years and you hit all the bases efficiently and effectively. Subscribed. Can’t wait to see your upcoming videos!
Thank you so much for these reviews! I never thought I would get so excited over car reviews. Very neat and beautiful!
Love it ! Adding this to my list of test drives !! Thank you Car Mommy!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽another great review !
Love the Acadia! I was set to buy a Palisade but I think you’ve convinced me to go for the Acadia instead ! ( former Acadia owner here and currently own a Hylander which is NOT my favorite at all). I can do without the back sunshades as long as there are air vents ..I also
Like the cup holders and new cubby!
How is the reliability of Acadia ?
Love this. I love my Yukon now but this was so needed. Never understood why they went smaller
Thanks for the review! Like how you went into detail with the back row and baby car seat situation.
Thank you so much for the review. Beautiful vehicle! I saw the announcement but your video is the first video I've seen of it actually being reviewed interior and exterior - thank you so so much! Love the review. I do have a question because I've seen your review of this now and the review of the traverse... with that being said... since I don't see specific dimensions released yet, do you think there is more room in the 2024 Acadia or the 2024 Traverse? I'm leaning towards the Traverse (style, infotainment screen, size??, etc) but I thought I'd ask your opinion. Also, is there ambient lighting in the 2024 Traverse? I couldn't find anything on it. Thanks in advance. And any other thoughts on the two comparisons would also be greatly appreciated!
Love your reviews! Thank you!
So glad you reviewed this! I love the look of the Yukon and really want one but I’m just a dog mom so I’m not hauling kids so I can’t justify a Yukon price. So I’m really looking forward to these coming out!
The interior is so tastefully done. Omg I’m blown away. Love the more masculine exterior design too!
White seating surfaces, white seatbelts, and white carpet is a hard pass for families. Wish 2nd row had grab handles in the ceiling in addition to the B pillar. Other than that love it. Need a comparison with Grand Highlander.
From the back it looks a lot like the grand highlander, especially those taillights
Goodness, my kids are grown and wanted to downsize to small SUV, BUT I may need to consider this
this is trash
Other option you might consider are the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4. They’re reliable
Love you! And the sound is good! Thank you!!!
Thanks for your fit and finishing interpretation and climbing in the 3rd row. It's nice to see the perspective from a taller woman as my wife is 5-11 and me at 6-3 I can really get a good view on how we would fit in this new Acadia ✌🏾❤️
This is extremely nice looking man, what an improvement. Very good job gmc. We just got rid of our 2014, 170000 miles and no major issues just and airbag sensor and standard maintenance. It was an extremely good vehicle. I know hard to believe but true
Why is that hard to believe most modern cars are extremely reliable. Compared to stuff from the 70s 80s and 90s.
Car Mom I think you do a fantastic job reviewing vehicles! I think the Traverse and Acadia are almost homeruns. My only gripe is why no hybrid powertrains for this or any GM vehicles ? Its offered by the competition. I can't wait until the new ICE powered Equinox and Terrain are introduced.
The whole center console area is perfection. Any ideas on how peice will compare to others like Traverse/Pilot/etc?
Did you take measurements of the cargo space by chance? Wondering how the depth compares with the Traverse (with third row seat up/in use)
Much improved. Never understood why they downsized it for gen2 when the Traverse and Enclave remained the same size. The Acadia looks around 96-97 cu ft which puts it back inline with the Traverse, Enclave, Atlas, and Grand Highlander. Everything else is 10 cu ft smaller. One downside is that the rear 3rd row bench looks low for taller people and it also looks like those windows are tiny unlike the Atlas and Grand Highlander.
Yeah those windows are small, but they look a lot like that from the telluride and atlas, but maybe shrunk down slightly for the styling purpose
The thing about these is they can make them “bigger” but they just don’t know how to optimize the space inside for leg room all the way to 3rd row. That’s why palisade and telluride are better about interior space. I’ve seen someone about my height (5’8-5’9) make a video on this and he didn’t even have 2nd row all the way back and he fit in the 3rd row but barely had enough space and I have a palisade and I can put the 2nd row all the way back and I still have a good amount of room to move my legs freely.
Love it! Checks all my boxes!
Is the transmission shifter on the steering wheel column like the traverse, or it it buttons on the infotainment like it was in the previous model?
I Hope it will have a browser or better advance interaction with this big screen then the internet suscription in the vehicle will be a great use even if you forget your pc
I really like it. I currently own a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse RS. I will consider the Acadia Denali 7 to 8 years from now when i buy another vehicle.
Damn! Gm is crazy lately it looks so good
Love your channel!!!!
So Traverse vs Acadia?? I might have to trade in my Atlas for one of these!!
Rear view camera? I think that is the smartest/neatest car amenity.
Also, does the car seat button on the back of the second row disable itself while the car is in motion?
How does this compare in size (especially trunk size) to the 2017 limited or earlier model?
I prefer the more rugged look of the new Traverse, but I’m glad to see all the positive changes! I hope to make either the new Traverse or Acadia my next car.
youll wind up poor
@@mattnorman5241you like you are?
When I need to retire my 2018 traverse will definitely consider!
I love it! But where is the shifter? Under infotainment?
looks nice but i think the travers looks better on the out side. i think the travers has a better body lines on the exterior.
The new Traverse looks nice from the front and back, but the weird C-pillar treatment really hurts it overall.
@The_Car_Mom what about the gear shift? Is it still the buttons?
It looks great! I LOVE the 2024 Traverse... except for the prominent red in the interior. I'm so glad GM kept everything we like about the 2024 Traverse for the Acadia and gave us more!
Does it have 360 cameras? Would love to see how it works in your reviews.
Same as the traverse. Just going to get the one with the best pricing
Very disappointed that there are no sun shades but I love everything else!
I recently leased a 23 Acadia SLT in Midnight Blue with Elevation Package! Absolutely love the Acadia but I hope they update the site with the new colors on the all new model!Im not a fan of that ocean blue but I do hope they change it and have another blue color if not silver itll have to be!!
Im buying an acadia next year when they release. Im torn between this and the at4. That blue is gorgeous. Im either getting the blue or dark grey.
What is the price range for both models?
Looks nice but I wonder how reliable it will be, since current one isn't that great compare to others
Love the color!! I feel like for the last 4 years everything has been gray/silver with a black interior. I live in Florida. Black interior takes forever to cool down.
same, the lighter interiors are definitely needed here in Florida
I hate black interiors too
I love your videos, my 7 year old just came over and was like Mommm you just bought a new car, you can't get another one!! But I love all the new 2024 cars!! In the meantime, I'm here for all your videos and to promote The Car Mom so ever dealership knows you and Liz!
Wonder if there will be a acadia slt
It looks great! Too bad on the sun shades but not a deal breaker
tiny middle headrest, but still a positive improvement
Is there heated and ventilated seats?
The real question.. did they update the transmission and some of the engine issues? I love the car but if not fixed I can’t think it’s worth it
Wow! They are gorgeous! I saw the climate control was integrated into the touchscreen. Are there climate controls below it?
Could you compare this 2024 Acadia AT4 with the 2024 traverse Z71?
You are correct this is so much better than the smaller version. I never liked the small one. My xt5 is only 2 years old so will keep it for a while but I can see going with one of these one day. Very impressive SUV. Kind of surprised they went big considering the EV smaller movement but glad they did.
I wish they would offer the bench in higher trims. I want all the extras but also need to access these kids 😫 everything else was amazing
I like it I like it a lot but what's the MPG
When is the Acadia Denali Ultimate coming out?
I love this but can’t understand why this or the Traverse won’t offer a bench in the middle for the higher end styles. It’s frustrating. I want the Denali trim but I also need the bench in the middle.
Going to be in DTW for Auto show week??
I really like this vehicle a lot, and that two tone interior looks great...but it really seems like they made all the parts that might stain in white and the panels that are not likely to get dirty are brown lol
This Acadia 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾. Worth waiting for.
As a former GMC owner I would consider the 2025 GMC Acadia if GM would offer a second row bench seat and eliminate the second row small vent windows for security purposes and add second row Sun shades. This would be a fantastic vehicle for owners with children or grandchildren. Good Job GM Engineers. What about a 2.7 or 3.0 liter engine?
I really like what i see. Ohh the GMC looks nice as well
Do we know when this is hitting the lots ?
I'd love a GM minivan with this tech. Perfect family car.
Did they announce prices yet?
I bought a new Acadia SLT in 2007. It was bigger then the previous one. My question is this one go back to the same size as the bigger 2007 or a bit smaller. It is smaller than the 2007 then that would be a disappointment hopefully it is bigger. I actually called the dealership and they weren’t sure so I’m looking for correct info.
I absolutely love the light interior color of this vehicle. I'm curious what people think about the durability of such a light color with kids and possibly pets riding in this vehicle...
What is a smaller sized GMC Denali?
How big is the engine?
chevy traverse is the better buy i think. plus the info screen is higher up with view line
very nice cars but here in canada ,Québec, we are getting riped off by taxes and the price is not the same .it is much expensive .I purchase a gmc terrain 2022 and loving it but I need more space .the acadia have a third row seat ,I nead that space .for a family of five that is perfect .nice review !!
This car is gorgeous. Definitely going to trade in my Telluride for this.
Does anyone else think it looks like the Telluride from the side profile?! With that said I'm impressed with improvements! I've never been impressed with the Acadia, but thinking about it now.
Yes, I was thinking that too or it also looked like the side profile of the Palisade. So it's a no for me.
I guess I'm one of the few who wants and actual mid-size SUV. I have a 2020 Acadia Denali and love how it looks. It's the perfect size, just needed an interior refresh. I love the interior updates in this, but hate that they made it larger and more bloated-looking. Kinda looks like a honda pilot now. I guess my next vehicle will be the Acura MDX, cause it's definitely not going to be this new Acadia.
I can't wait to see what the 2024 Gmc yukon is gonna look like 🤭
I wasn't expecting much from this but all I can say is, "Wow!" 4-way lumbar on driver & passenger seats? That's a biggy for me. But too bad about the bench seat only on the lowest trim. Bah humbug. The Pilot still remains the only one in this larger size (not as large as this) that gives me the ability to seat 3 across in the 2nd row in the top trim. Please please please beg GM to give me my bench seat!!! So sad. Next, let's see about pricing - will this be Lexus TX money? Or Grand Highlander money? Maybe somewhere in the middle. (I take it no one from GM would talk price?)
I’m still waiting for you to review Toyota grand highlander 😊
Where is the gear shift? 💭
I just love the way the sellers that promote these cars make them only about moms or people with children like the people without children and families can't or shouldn't purchase it. All cars are for everybody, I have yet to see someone selling an F-150 and say this is for the fathers out there.
Alex on Autos is suggesting this could be the next Benchmark in this segment. In the past I would have overlooked this suv for a number of different reasons.
Alex is correct
Super nice
the outside look amazing, but not a huge fan of the screen desing, would prefer the style of the screen of the sierra o silverado, like they go with the new traverse.
Is this bigger then the grand hilander?
AT4 for me. Excellent.
❤@GMC whips!
Bench seat only available in the lowest trim model? Deal breaker for me. Why are manufactures still doing this?
I agree. Spending the extra money shouldn't REDUCE my choices. Dumb.
When they made it smaller I thought it was a waste the rear seats was too small and you don’t have enough space that’s why I picked the traverse but I like the looks of gmc Acadia
The downsize never made any sense to me. I don’t work in the car industry. I have no knowledge of the research reports that GM did or what the consumers were telling them but I thought it was one of the silliest moves that they made in recent years and I’m glad to see them correct it
I’ve always been drawn to the Acadia but with 3 kids in car seats I didn’t love the size or the trunk space. This ‘24 Acadia is STUNNING! I want oneeeee 😍😍😍
dont buy
If it gets top safety pick with iihs im sold
I LOVE it!! I loved my Traverse and my Terrain. Always wanted the Acadia but they downsized and it had no trunk space whatsoever. I have been impatiently waiting for this upgrade. I had considered the new Honda Pilot or Nissan Pathfinder in the meantime, but I'm glad I didn't jump the gun. I need this SUV! 😍
GREAT CHANEL!!!! I LOVE YOU
Very glad the went bigger, wife currently owns a 2nd gen Acadia…yea smaller…very fast not sure how the 4cy twin turbo will be….either way Bidenomics forces me and probably A LOT of people that are trying to keep food ($300 min per week) on the table with everything else….to not afford this vehicle…I would have to say your pushing $60,000 for a mid size SUV… absolutely INSANE!!
Your saying the AT4 is more setup for the off road, so I look at it as,, the FLAGSHIP MODEL AND OF BEING LOADED, and loaded means loaded,
nice car..
Bench seat only on the lower trim level??? Booooooo
Right? That’s what I’m sayin
