People used to care about how they looked. Women wore hats and gloves. Men wore ties and hats. We have lost so much. Look at the old shows from the 50s. People dressed up to go to the grocery store. I am not saying I want to do that but I think if we tried harder we would all feel better about ourselves and our culture. Looking like a slob turns you into one I do believe.

It is not about expense or time its about how you view yourself and how you want others to view you in short its about self respect and respect for others. Something that many have lost in this day and age.

Oh yes the glory days! when the only profession women could really get was either a nurse or secretary for some hot shot buisness owner. God forbid a women try to do something a man did. And don't forget shopping at that lovely segregated makeup store down the street mhmm gotta love that right in your face racism. And then coming home to cook a meal for my husband and children while silently wishing I could kill myself to get out of my marriage because oldest got drafted to the war in Korea and I know my husband is having multiple affairs. Because lord knows I can't live if the neighbors found out I got a divorce. Miss those glory days.
