Took me a while but itâs done! Who would
Actually install one of these??
If I need a dump bed, I would do it! Looks great man.
@@SR-tc9gd thanks
Looks good I would install one, I think Your red Ford needs one
Very cool
Yes!
Love the truck builds, but when I heard your daughter say she loves your mini mouse chair, that topped it off man. That was 100% adorable.
đđ
Josh totally needs to have a Mini Mouse tribute to that chair on the truck now. It's forever part of its history.
@@shemwhitehead9517 very true lol. That truck needs to be wrapped in mini mouse lol.
Use 4" Baler Belt from Tractor supply etc, for the lift cylinder to rest on. It's a great rubber cushion for all kinds of purposes.
That is a cool addition to the build. I know I would get quite a bit of use out of it, so am sure it will be very handy for you.
Really nice setup!! The one thing I would do to strengthen it a lot is on the rear cross member I would install a 3/8â plate or a piece of thick channel steel in the grove of the cross member where the 4 bolts go. Install the bolts threw the plate steel or channel and some thicker bigger around washers, then it will reinforce it and the bolts and small washers you have will not pull threw the cross member from the down pressure when lifting a heavy load!!!
Dump bed looks bad ass! Definitely a good feature to have for all the things you are going to be doing with it!
Great job Josh. Your right about welding the brackets on the box, etc. You can also stitch weld the bolt heads so they don't come loose. My shop fabricated and welded for Altec HiLine LLC. here in Duluth in 2007-2008. Furthermore, I would install HOCKEY Pucks for your lift cylinder support. Use a 1" wood forsner to countersink the bolt heads for the Pucks... Once again, great job!. On another note I might come down for your meet but I may need to bring my 5th wheel down. Maybe Veterans park has camping or near by?
Josh truck looks sweet. Just an FYI. I have a friend that put a dump bed on his pickup. It was super handy. He used it to haul firewood also. One time he loaded it to full and turned his bed into a taco. If you look at you need there's not much support between the cylinder and hinges.
He ended up having to put square tubing on the inside of the box to give the bed some actual frame rails. Looked ugly but worked for years. Just look at your box with the bed up. That sheet metal will kink on the bed rails and fold. Dodge boxes are weak anyway then ad a bit of rust in a few years and down she goes. So don't over load that bed with heavy stuff!
Great work. love all your rides. You take alot of pride in them. Have fun at the show wish I could be there at the end of the month.
My brother just bought a T case from Mark. It looks great. Bought it because of you and your channel.
I like it. I seen another video on utube where the guy built a full tube frame for the pickup bed. He said the factory cross frame supports are not strong enough and that the bed will bend down on the sides when you start getting some weight on it.The way he did it was really cool.
I've read it can be done in a day. For me that means a week lol. I plan on finally getting one. I am thinking of reinforcing parts of the bed as my loads will be heavy. Thanks!
Wow great job I am showing my hubby this video we need this so bad think of your future he has to pick up 75lb object and has to toss them far individually saves time and work smarter not harder.
Thank you
Love the dump bed . I need one in my chevy dually .
Dump bed is Absolutely awesome. Just wondering about the back hinge points ? I think it would be in your best interest to weld in a Reinforcement out of thicker metal on the inside of the frame at the hinge point maybe 12 in to 24 in long and stitch weld it just for some added Strength. Just not a lot of meat at the hinge point.
Really awesome broham Iâm currently working on my 02 lb7 and I I was gonna get a flat bed but I like this idea better it will alway me to keep the original look
That is going to be one awesome truck. Nice Job on the install of the dump bed. No actually Nice Job on everything you have got done to the truck!!!!
I really appreciate it Ron
Very great video, I'm also thinking of putting this kit on my F-250. Good job!
Thanks
Man that looks so cool but I have a half ton gmc and I donât think my frame could hold up to one of those dump bed systemâs but that turned out great canât wait for a video to see it lifting some weight!!
There is another guy on utube that built a really nice frame a few years ago for his bed box and he also put a brace across to keep that cylinder from bouncing around. I think he is thunder road or something. Really god build he did with kit. You did a good job
Thanks
That's like the old school 90's show trucks that would lift up the bed and you could see all the chrome and 15 million shocks...
Thatâs a really cool kit ! Nice work Josh đđ»
Very cool đ, Josh thatâs going to come in handy for dumping wood đ
Definitely
That's sweet! I need one for dumping out loads of firewood!
LOVE IT ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I would LOVE to have a dump kit put on my 05 LLy Zf6 regular cab.
Hello Josh and Melanie. The Cummins is coming along great. The dump bed is awesome.
Thanks
I have one on my old 89 dodge (bought it that way) if your going to be using it for fire wood if beef up the hinges and the the bed the lifting point. Mine however needs to be rebuilt and this time I'll try and center the wheel wells because it is currently set back maybe 4 inches or so and it sucks.
That dump bed is going to awesome to use! Great job!
Thanks
Thanks in a million. Great content. Awesome imagination. Grade: A++đ„
That is really cool man you did a awsome job on that dump bed very strait on the body lines!
Thanks joe
Your welcome man!
Great job I'm planning on doing the same thing, Awesome Job Sir!
That Looks Super Handy.
Thanks brother I just subscribed to your channel đ€I was looking at this same kit and you just helped me make my decision đȘđȘ
Keep up the great work truck master. đ
Thanks
Would use a piece of heavy mud flap for cylinder to rest on. Love the dump box ideal.
Awesome. I've been waiting for this video.
Me too đđ thanks
Sweet it looks really nice. I my self have a 1964 C20 all original second owner. And came with a unoist with a complete Wisconsin rig. But paid it self off delivering 12 truck loads of gravel. Noticed the support for hydraulic cylinder was rubbing the drive line. Remounting is for sure on the plate. But now I'm installing 4"Ă2" tubing into the frame w/ 3/4 pivot shaft for backend of The bed reconstruction of the long wide bed all 1/8" diamond plate new hat channel because of wood rot. Good luck at the event.
Thanks
Didn't think I'd like it but turned out great love it đȘ
That is cool, I'm looking to do to a 99' S-10. Just time and money!
Super cool. I want to install this on my 2011 tundra crewmax. But seams they dont make one for it. I ultimately want a duramax. But my tundra is nice half ton truck that for the most part is all i need for brush cleanups, junk removal and my lawn care business.
Nice touch too that truck, awesome content
Cool build. Looks like it would get in the way of a gooseneck hitch though
I know ablsolutely nothing about this kit but Iâm sure you could place it in between the 2 brown brackets that she showed us. Idk though
Awesome! Keep the videos coming.
Thanks
Very cool dump bed I am sure that it will be very useful for you. Like you said that's a better option than purchasing a dump trailer due to the price. Seems like the price of everything has doubled.
Hopefully you can figure out your transmission issue soon, that has me scratching my head as well. Only time I seen similar problems is when the transmission was low on fluid or the linkage breaks.
I have faith in you, you will figure it out. How do I know this? You are the Truck Master.đ
Just thought of something, could it be a computer problem? You changed to a different transmission, maybe the computer is sending the transmission the wrong codes for it work properly. I don't know how automatics work, just trying to help you think outside the box. Take care.
Wait till you start powdercoating things, it gets addicting. Having an oven big enough becomes the issue. Lol. Great work man as always. Oh btw theres some cool stuff online about building ovens for home use that are pretty easy. Ill send you a dm with a link.
Thanks!
Man I have been preaching bring these backđ€đœ
Gut the hole.. open it up and mount the fuel fill tube to a bracket and open fuel door and reach in and open the cap and fill
I like your airbags too well done đ
If you ever have to service it make sure you put a long metal bar as a safety in case it falls it wont close. My friends brother got killed that way! Be safe
I think you should shave the fuel door since itâs no longer needed and body work has to be done anyways . It would clean up the bedside a lot
Nice Iâm thinking of doing this to my SIERRA 1500 đ nice job
Gotta say Truckmaster... watching some of video from those boys down south on another channel...won't mention them by name . But those GA. Boys they have some real pretty trucks... super clean.. riding tall on 40's ... lots of lift and lights. Enough lights to light up a small town.... the only thing saving the alternator is the lights are LED... yep sure are pretty..and expensive..80k with 20k of lights and lift and polish and wax..excuse me, ceramic coating !! But I bet none have been in 4wd more than once or twice. Probably aside from road grime never go near the dirt and mud... yep Truckmaster you have what 5 trucks and between all of them you have done a lot more than some of them Boys have done to one. Plus your truck gets used... keep up the good work Truckmaster. As a southerner myself, I have to kinda bite my tongue. To see a big flashy pretty truck and it's purely a pavement pounder. I bet they would have a fit throwing a big buck in the bed of one of those trucks lol... whooty whoo..I also think I saw Earl hanging out in the shadows of one of the shows.
You need to build a frame and remove the stock bed pieces. Nice video. There is a guy that shows how he made a box frame for the kit and itâs super strong
Excellent. Does the front of the bed bang or rattle while driving? In other words does it sit on the front pads with no load, causing it to rattle and bang while driving?
Just build a bracket to locate the fill neck in the stock location so you don't have to lift it everytime to add fuel.
He said he likes that he had to lift it
That dump bed is badass
Hey truck Master love watching your channel alot every day u are awesome CZcamsr the Cummins build is coming together but slowly keep a awesome job on it u should paint the cab and the box the same color red like on the famed đ
Good idea đ
@@TruckMaster u are so welcome truck Master because your other truck is red so keep the same color and it my favorite color too đ
Iâm thinking of doing it now!
Norway callin' ; I think it's awesome! - The little boy inside wants it badly! But when I think about it, I can't find any adult reason to buy it. Maybe, just maybe, I have to find one :p
Super cool!
Love it
Best part is the Mini Mouse chair.
The workshop is really cool.
đđ
Dump bed rocks ! Florida rubbed off on you.. but you need to work on that tan some lol... keep the content coming looking forward to seeing what's next.. wrap up the WIFEMAX.
đđ
Love the Barbie chair for your truck seat đ
Thanks!
Dump bed is awesome đ€đ»đ€đ»
Nice job đ
I was just talking about this wit my friend and this vid comes up what a coincidence
đđ
Nice build!!!
Thanks
Love the truck dude, but you never apologize for what your truck looks like.
Great dump bed and function...
Maybe the valve body???
Great job on the video
Thanks
That's sweet!
Thanks
keep the great work man
Thanks
Imagine the look on peopleâs faces when they see you buy gravel or stone or anything Like wow heâs gonna have a hard time shoveling that out đ
đ
sooo sick !!!!
God bless everyone đșđž
Cool build you got going on, red frame is hideous though đ€·ââïž your truck though!
Very cool dump bed.
Thanks
I'm installing this exact kit on my 98 ram 3500 dually have few questions on what to do the directions are horrible and bearly tell me anything. Might be long shot could definitely use some advice
Would look so good powder coated white
I like it alot!
So the bed pivots on just a bolt ??
No greasable or serviceable bearing on the pivot points ?
Nice Video. Where did you buy the Air Bags kit?
Very cool....
My 14 foot dump trailer was nearly $8000. That thing you have there is pretty sweet!
Thatâs awesome
Mine was $9k custom built. The second difference after price tag, is load capacity
@@cacarotogod6695 mine is a 5 ton Lamar. Weighs 4k empty plus 10k lb
Nice !
You might want to add some extra framing to that bed just in case it tries to bend on ya
The only thing I donât like is you have to lift the bed to fill it. So if you have anything in the bed and you forgot to get fuel before everything will slide to other end. Obviously depending on how far you have to lift the bed. Maybe it wonât be that much of an angle to be worried? Cant wait to see what it will look like once you have the filler neck on.
Thatâs a great point
I've seen guys run the filer to the drivers side rear tire wheel well
That would be so so awesome fir wood
I totally agree
Ima buy one!!!
How does that work with the fuel tank and can you have it on while youâre dumping @Truck Master
Yes đ
I wish this was a standard feature on all trucks
I agree
If you haven't decided on a paint color for the truck I think you should paint it white to go with the red and blue
I have a dump bed on my 2 d gen.. just wondering what your spacing is between cab and bed.. did it need moved back a bit.. thanks
I want to do the same on my 2013 F250 but my 2012 3500HD would of been a better choice. Both my trucks combined cost less than 20% of a dump trailer.
Uplifting modification TM!
đđ
At 3:27 it looks like you didn't install the left and right frame hinges, instead you ran the pivot bolts thru the the left and right bed hinges thru the frame only.
I wasn't aware that the left and right frame hinges were optional?
110% cool
Sweet
So you might of said somewhere. But what air intake manifold is that. DPS? Was thinking of a Banks. But there like $400.
Some traction bars would be cool on that truck
Love it â€đ
