Some democracy we got here. No choice, but even though according to Biden there are 50 Democrats that could beat tRump he will stay in the race.

Beau is EXACTLY right here, like usual :)
My sister, a lifelong Republican, switched parties this year to Democrat and is voting Democrat because of her transgender child.
She knows who is targeting her child and it's not the Democrats.
Why do people only switch from Republican when something affects them personally? Don't they realize what Republicans stand for? Or is it always rules for thee but not for me?
@@Callie7912 It's a lot of reasons, the self-isolating media bubble is a big problem. Only having Fox news on in the house sort of thing.
Once her child came out and began transition, she started to question a lot of things and look a little farther afield, thanks to the internet.
The left leaning side of the family helped by sending her links and so on once she started questioning. Beaus videos have been a HUGE help.
Once she started watching them, she started to see the physiological/social manipulation that the Right uses.

This is very very true. More than you even realize. Factor in the states that are criminalizing homelessness already. If SS is cut off there will be thousands in the streets. They will be scooped up and put in concentration camps. There's no room in regular prisons as it is.
I recommend looking up Aktion T4 on wiki and read about how they sorted out the elderly, the physically disabled, and the mentally ill and deemed them "undeserving of life". Then, if you consider how Project 2025 reads and how trumps language mimics Hitler's and people like the governor (?) Or something of North or South Carolina (i forget which) said in A CHURCH meeting, "some people deserve killing" ... you will start to get a fuller picture of where this is all heading.

The press needs to remember how Trump repeatedly attacked them and encouraged his supporters to literally attack them.

Biden is the best President for the common people I've seen in my 65 years. I was a Union construction worker for nearly four decades. He is the only President *ever* to visit a picket line to support workers. In our country's history, picket lines have often been "visited" by goons and hostile police, not a supportive President. I actually cried listening to that speech.

NPR's Steve Inskeep interviewed the US Ambassador to NATO about the upcoming summit, Ukraine, etc. At the end, he asked her about Biden and if he's in "decline." She said:
"Well, I was just talking to a colleague about this. I often joke that when you go in to brief Joe Biden, whether he's vice president or the president, he often ends up briefing you. And it's hard. He asks very sharp questions. He challenges you, your core assumptions. That's what he did when I worked for him in the vice president's office. I saw him just a couple of weeks ago in Washington, and that's what he was doing again, this time in the Oval Office, peppering me with hard questions about the NATO summit. And he wanted to get it right."
He asked if Biden has changed:
"Of course. He has aged. And there's no question that he is older than he was when I first worked for him in the vice president's office. But in terms of engaging him and the types of questions you get and his focus, I haven't seen a change. "
I'll take her word over some pundit who watched a video clip from the debate.
@gordonmills2748 someone like that would have a much better idea of Biden's abilities. Besides, most of media outlets have become Clickbait outlets and are addicted to their own drama.

Trump is not going to jail. They will never put him in jail because he has money, and that money brings more value to the city he is being charged in then putting him in jail. Thats a lot of new cop cars, maybe new desk for school, ect. A Judge and Jury will almost always pick more money and no jail time then less money and jail time after it gets to a current financial difference. In Reality it's a bigger punishment on someone like trump to make him pay more than just go to jail. He will still make the same amount of money in prison as out of prison, and frankly wouldn't prevent him from doing any crimes he may or not be committing right now. If you want trump to fail the best thing you do is drain is bank account, limiting his reach.

I find it annoying how many people are calling for Biden to step down. He's not changed that drastically in the last 7 months since the primaries started.
When in the primaries did he debate other candidates and have to answer questions without a teleprompter? When did the people voting for him have a chance to have an informed opinion? "Already president" takes primaries by default unless there's a problem. And voters weren't made aware there was a problem until AFTER the primaries.
He did good at the state of the union, but that was scripted aside from one or two sharp off the cuff remarks, but that made it seem like he was still in good shape.
Biden's debate against Trump is the first time we've seen him unscripted this year, which combined with a lot of his other gaffes is what's setting off alarm bells. If we'd seen him unscripted 7 months ago, these alarms could have already sounded. He could have already had a chance to soothe our fears or perform better.
Or stepped aside then, and we could've had a year of unified and gracefully getting behind VP Harris, instead of a panicked last three months worrying about Biden's decline.

It's not about believing Trump would necessarily turn a failing economy around, it's that a lot in the GOP or even on the fence don't have long term planning/foresight.
Economy bad? Problem with person at top.
Economy good? Person at top good.

The Dems can not risk anything less then the best candidate. They need someone who can make dog food out of Trump, and Biden is not the man to do it.
A lot of people, including myself, are not voting for Biden, but voting against Trump.
In the French elections for many of the seats the left and center came together and determined who had the stronger candidate then the weaker candidate dropped out so they wouldn't split the vote against the radical right candidate. The right called it cheating. I would call it democracy.

Some of them are just terrified and in hysterics. Not every threat is an enemy. Some we can win back. Some just need time.
Major problem I see with that strategy is that there is not one clear strong choice and if there had been one strong obvious standout a year ago? that person might be the democratic choice now... _but it didn't happen then not happening now_
@@aliceanneacts6164NYT and now WaPo are pro-owner-class. Bulwark is just too inside-DC thinking it’s their expert lever-pulling that will determine the outcome, but there’s hope for them yet.
The very fact that we have to vote "in our own defense" is so shocking that it ought ti make more people stop and think about what is at risk.
@janicepalesch9221 I know of a couple of older ladies who have been voting Democrat in "their own defense" since the 70s. They aren't indoctrinated by any organized religion so they're a bit more aware and may be ahead of the pack.
Thanks, you and Simon Rosenberg are helping me relax and knuckle down. As you say, they need us to vote in their defense. Young women and every minority group in America.
Thank you, Beau, for your consistently clear commentary and logical analysis.
I quit listening to these fools trying to tell me what I just watched or heard, decades ago.
Why is everyone so obsessed with polls? What matters in every election is rounding everyone to vote Blue at the ballot box.
Because that's what mainstream media wants. Give the people uncertainty and watch chaos follow.
I’m not obsessed. If everyone got smart and threw their television away, like I did years ago, polls wouldn’t matter a dam.🤷
We obsess because the media obsesses and the noise machine likes simple conflict stories. Because they obsess and their noise is pervasive, it sounds like “everyone is talking about it.”
They're historically indicative of the final result within the margin of error and Biden is down 9
I care about actually winning at all costs. It would be one thing if the Democrats did what Republicans do and just cheat/create votes, but we don't.
Thanks Beau for that rational and insightful read on a stressful event in this race.
Thank you for this analysis of the impact of the debate. I know that there is nothing but nothing that could convince me to vote for Trump. Never did, never will. No one I know has changed their minds based on it.
Semi off topic but I'm laughing at trump trying to put distance from project 2025 cause it's saying the quiet part loud
Yeah. All the while 25 of its 36 authors served in his very own administration.
No one has more contempt for Republican voters or treats them all as if they couldn't possibly get any more stupid than Republican politicians do. And I deeply, deeply hate every single one of them, so I can promise it's not that easy to top some of us.
Yean. Meanwhile, 25 of its 36 authors worked in his damned administration.
I swear, no one has more contempt for or assumes Republican voters are all mouth breathing morons more than Republicans politicians do. I thought this was made exceptionally obvious during the Dominion vs Fox discovery, but apparently Republican politicians might be right about exactly one thing after all.
I am voting Biden. Its more a vote against Trump than for Biden. I think he has done a decent job, but I do wish I had a better choice.
I think the entire country has been trying to tell both parties that
Historians already rate him #14, above Reagan. He has actually done a fantastic job.
If wishes were horses beggars would ride.. Glad you are seeing it for what it is, one future vs another...
what people need to finally realise is, a president is not doing that job all alone. this administration has shown that it's capable of facing challenges. Biden is surrounded by decent, capable, competent people whereas Trump surrounds himself with incompetent loyalists.
Vote Biden and you will have a chance to vote again and for a much younger candidate. Vote Trump, third party or not at all and you risk of never being able to vote again. Don't know why it's so hard.
@@laura_v191 This is also true
Thank you Beau!! And thank you to whoever asked the question!
I hate how weak the Dems are to let Republicans say ANYTHING about the economy
We've got a visible wavelength from Bush W to Obama to Trump. Any half competent party would've cinched this issue by now.
Shows you they are FOR people's rights to their opinions.
@@sschul5886 It shows you that having a Republican in the White House is guaranteed to tank the economy and cause a recession. Every single god damned time, going all the way back to Reagan. It shows you why Republicans should *never* be allowed to sit in the big chair.

Morning Beau and Internet People. We woke up breathing so today is going to be a good day. Take care and keep cool.
Yep, waking up this side of the dirt is always a good thing 😂

2M without power in Texas, but state leadership knows the drill and have left the state.
As usual you nailed it Beau! It’s why I’ve listened to all your wisdom every day!
You are the most reasonable voice I listen to. Thanks for sorting the wheat from the chaff.
When I vote, I am not looking for a boyfriend. I am looking for a bus to take me where I need to go. Remember that "Dewey Defeats Truman" headline?
Great comment!
I love that analogy. The Biden bus is going in your direction. You can board the bus and complain the route is too long, the bus is too slow, in some places there are too many stops and the bus stop closest to your preferred destination is blocks away. Or you can get on the Trump bus. It doesn't go anywhere near your side of town, it travels fast and recklessly, the stops are determined by when the passengers cheer the loudest and when it stops those who didn't cheer are kicked off and thrown under the bus. Tickets are available in November and if you don't choose one a bus will be chosen for you.
Absolutely nailed it with voting in self-defense.
been a liberal all my 80 yrs. i never participated in a poll. never met a democrat who did. but all republicans i know do.
"What's gonna matter is who shows up."
Well put, Beau!
I am grateful for this channel. It is getting more difficult not to go into panic mode. I may have to take a break from media except for this channel.
I do the same.
Done!!!
PBS, BBC and AP are good alternatives to the monopolies of MSM with the owners and CEOs donating to the drumpf campaign.
I don’t want a Biden second term but the chaos of more Trump just isn’t an alternative.
I don't get it. Under Biden my adult kids have gotten better jobs and partial relief from student debt. My Social Security and Medicare are still there despite GOP threats. The increases in my 401k are almost embarrassing. Many Rx prices are coming down. American troops are not bogged down in foreign wars. All this while we nonvoting folks deprive Biden of the Congressional majorities needed to pass more far-reaching legislation,
@@JR-pr8jb Bang. You hit the nail right on the head.
What about it specifically that you didn’t like that Biden was responsible for?
@@ariaflame-au Personally, for me it's the debt. While Joe's debt increase is nowhere near the damage done by rump, it still pushes massive tax expenditures on our [great[great[grand]]]kids to cover both the debt-service (bond interest) and principal. I am still voting against rump: Go Joe! Vote BLUE!
I'll gladly take a BIDEN/HARRIS second term, so much progress. mr.trump is chaos, the GOP are losers...Thats right trump is no alternative
Thank you for putting reality back into all this craziness.
The media's Anti-Biden stance isn't an accident:

This is a great representation of why I gave up TV and especially televised 'news' more than 20 years ago. Best decision ever.
if your ship is sinking in the middle of the ocean you don't concern yourself with the arrangement of the deck chairs.
Nero fiddled while Rome burned. What instrument does rump play?
@@WBS001Cowbell. Bing bing bong.
On the other hand, if your ship is sinking in the middle of the ocean and you have a choice between a loose piece of broken driftwood, and a brand new life raft, which one would you prefer?
Yes, literally ANY democrat over Trump is getting the vote. Vote blue no matter who and all that. And Project 2025 is terrifying. But Trump should be the easiest opponent to beat ever and instead we've got an old sick man who is polling evenly with him, or even behind.
This shouldn't be close. "Will the literal only choice we have, even be functioning after November?" shouldn't be an issue anyone in the middle needs to be thinking about. This should be an obvious and easy choice for *everyone* and yet the Dems pick the one candidate who might actually lose to Trump.
Either you want democracy to continue or you're in a cult. Those in the cult have a long road to get out & there just isn't enough time between now & Roevember!
Thankyou Beau, well said, very well said, extremely correctly said!!!! 🥰
We’re going to turn out! We’re going to win!
Voting out of self defense. Raises hand.
I am absolutely doing defensive voting. And I'm furious with the media for not emphasizing the stakes here, for example by talking about Project 2025. I don't care of the dems run a can of green beans with a goldfish for veep, that's where my presidential vote is going. And as unhapp;y as I am about it, that's not going to change. It is my only choice.
Thanks for calming us down amd focusing on the issues not the person.
That is why we all must encourage the people we know, and have influence with to register and Vote.
Come on Beau, as a fellow Floridian, tell me you don’t want to see a hurricane nuked.
As someone who lives up north, it might be cool to watch (assuming it could even be captured), but radiation coming down on you guys at cat-5 speeds seems somewhat undesirable. /s
😂
I'm voting for the team, not just Biden - frankly it's in spite of him not because of him. I believe overall they have the best interests of the most citizens in mind.
Some clear, insightful reasoning being expressed here. Thank you, sir. :)
Its difficult to imagine there are many undecided voters left in our nation
