  • The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday the latest monthly payroll data for the U.S. economy. Total employment rose by 175,000 in April. The unemployment rate rose slightly to 3.9 percent from 3.8 percent in March. That came in below estimates of 240,000 jobs for April. Stephanie Ruhle and Dom Chu discuss.

    When unemployment goes up, but there are still jobs being added means that MORE people are looking for work than the previous month. That is GOOD. It means more people are becoming optimistic about looking for work.

    Making a mountain out of a molehill. Trying to pick flyspecks out of the pepper. Nothing wrong with these numbers as they are well within statistical variations. Healthiest economies generally have unemployment rates around 5%, so unemployment rates of 4% or less generally indicate worker shortages and difficulty filling many critical jobs with qualified employees.

    • @scottharrison8701
      @scottharrison8701 Před 18 dny

We also remember that the Wall Street Journal was forced to admit in a story they printed, that lower and middle income Americans were receiving a higher percentage of wage increase the upper class Americans during the Trump term.
    In addition, the non-partisan EIA reported that during this last presidential term, the United States was energy independent and we were the world’s leading producer of energy. at the end of the Trump presidency the USA was moving forward with an 8% rate of growth and a 1.4% rate of inflation.
