Love the reaction! You seem like you'll enjoy a Postmodern Jukebox journey. Try their covers of Creep, Seven Nation Army, Don't Speak, and Dream On. Have fun!
Thanks Thomas!
Hi Bob! Great stuff! - Post Modern Jukebox is Scott Bradlee's (the pianist) baby, musical genius, the way he's able to take any contemporary song and make it work as a jazz number in any sub genre from 1920ies to 60ies is mind blowing. The collective of musicians they are work with many different vocalists, the greatest of them being Morgan James (Aerosmith's "Dream On", someone mentioned it already...) and Haley Reinhart, for me the best vocalist the US have to offer right now... Haley is featured on quite a few of PMJ's tracks, the one with most views, and for a reason as you'll hear, is their cover of "Creep" (114M and counting...), originally by Radiohead. I can't listen to the original anymore since I discovered Haley's stellar take on it on Scott's gorgeous arrangement:
Creep - Vintage Postmodern Jukebox Radiohead Cover ft. Haley Reinhart

Thanks Dominik! I put it on the list and I can’t wait to check this one out. These arrangements are clever and so good. The man is a genius.
Welcome to the PMJ rabbit hole. If you decide to dive in, I hope you have a lot of time. You will find many covers with many different musicians, instruments, singers and performers. There is a singing clown and tap dancers. The only consistent is Scott Bradlee on piano who arranges the performances and selects the performers to fit the song. I think the current PMJ record holder is "Creep" featuring Haley Reinhart. It has 114 million views. Have fun!
I’ll have to check out Creep. A lot of people are suggesting it. Thanks Michael!
Love Postmodern Jukebox, introduced it to both my parents and took them to a concert that PMJ and it was one of the best nights.
Nice. They sure are incredible. They blew me away with this one.
Always fun to listen to songs in totally different styles 🙂 I’ve heard some songs with this band before, but not this one. There are others I find more interesting and like more, but Levitating with Dua Lipa is a great song and it’s still fun to see their take on it. Thanks for your musical comments 😊
Thanks Petra! This one totally blew me away. When I saw the song and style I thought no way that’s gonna work but they did it. They made it work and it was fantastic.
IMO, Postmodern Jukebox's cover of "Dream On" is Scott Bradlee's magnum opus. It's such a stunning variation from the original that other acts are doing covers of Bradlee's cover. Other music professionals go nuts over it because it's so technically awesome, particularly Morgan James' vocals.
Thanks Kirk! I recorded Creep this morning. It’s should be out sometime in May. I’ll to get Dream on too. Thanks
Aren't they great! PMJs jaw-dropping covers include: All About that Bass (original Meghan Trainor), and Radiohead's Creep (version featuring Haley Reinhart). Enjoy!
+1 for Creep, totally awesome!
I’m gonna have to check out Creep. It’s a great song and I can’t imagine what this group would do with it. Thanks!
@@bobcieslinski yeah, can't wait!
And there is a whole mountain to climb with PMJ! Enjoy! They are fantastic!
This one blew my mind. It was so good Tanja!
Hi Bob - man did you ever open Pandora’s Box! Scott Bradlee (piano) is a freaking genius at arranging. My personal favorite is Aerosmith’s “Dream On”, done as a jazz night club number. It doesn’t matter though which one you listen to - trust a fellow bandie here - you’ll *love* each and every one!
Hi Jeff! Nice to meet a fellow bandie. I was totally blown away with thr arranging of this piece. I can’t imagine what Dream On would be like. Wow!
@@bobcieslinski We’ve spoken before - but there’s one of you and tons of us! LOL. You might remember the guy who brought up DCI and drum corps. Anyhow, off that aside - the Aerosmith cover is flat out amazing. Well, all of PMJ’s covers are.
@@jeffk1482 I’m very intrigued by what they can do. I can’t wait to hear another one. I love Dci Jeff. Thr high school where I went and my kids go does a dci style show. We are ranked in the country for marching band and for Jazz. It’s a great music school and shocks people that we are that good and we are a farmy rural district.
@@bobcieslinski You need to post a performance here on YT. I for one would watch - especially if you’re drum corps style!!!!
@@jeffk1482 czcams.com/video/0XLVEIWQD7Y/video.html this was my sons senior year at Kiski Area. At the 6:38 mark he is the snare player that comes through the yellow door. Pretty cool show. This was a regional championship show plus they won the local show in the area.
PMJ always deliver....
Loving seeing people find PMJ for the first time! Scott Bradlee completely changed my view of music with the team of musicians, singers and artists he put together to create amazing arrangements! :)
They are amazing!
Finally PMJ has arrived!
You might even want to use some of Scott Bradlee's arrangements (the piano player) for jazz band.
They are highly versatile, but always vintage reimagine songs.
Now about Haley Reinhart....
+1 for Creep
Wow so he arranges for jazz bands? That’s very cool. This song blew my mind. It was in thr list for awhile to do one of their songs. I’m interested in more.
Congratulations on the subscription numbers my friend! I remember congratulating you at 10k!! Wahoo!
Thanks Vance! I appreciate you!!!
You have to check out PMJs cover of Aerosmiths Dream On with Morgan James singing and another is a Yiddish rap version of Jason Derulos Talk Dirty To Me.
Sounds awesome do you have any links for those suggestions? Thanks!
@@bobcieslinski of course ! czcams.com/video/yvEWNlcefAw/video.html&pp=ygUOcG1qIHRhbGsgZGlydHk%3D and czcams.com/video/Yq4KA0mUnC8/video.html&pp=ygUMcG1qIGRyZWFtIG9u
Scott is a genius! This is a a deeeeep rabbit hole. Creep with Haylee Reinhardt, and All About That Bass with Casey Abrams and Thriller with Wayne Brady would all be a good place to go next.
Wow those sound interesting. Do you have links David?
You're on the edge of yet another deep rabbit hole. I really enjoy these guys. Bradlee nails it every time. You might want to check out their version of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy (Hannah Gill/ Casey Adams) and/or Dream On w/ Morgan James. Both are amazing.
I’ll have to look into those Aurora. If you have links yiu could send I’d appreciate it thanks!
Love. Let go to New Orleans.!
Oh I haven't heard this one before, neat! If you like to get on the "reimagination of dua lipa"-train another great one is also Levitating by ScaryPockets!
Nice thanks! So you happen to have a link?
@@bobcieslinski Sure do! Check out Abe Laboriel Jr. on the drums! Absolute beast! czcams.com/video/-tEzMiM2HRg/video.html
The most viewed Postmodern Jukebox song by a very large margin has been their cover of Radiohead's Creep with Haley Reinhart. One hundred fourteen million views followed by All About That Bass with ninety five million. You absolutely must hear Haley's performance of Creep.
I just recorded that one Joel. It should be out this month.
Postmodern Jukebox does quite a few of these 20's style songs Bob.
It was so good. It blew my mind how they pulled this off. Lots of talent and thr arranging was off the charts.
They are the best!
Try "All About The Bass" Chantuse style
or Wayne Brady singing "Thriller" 20s style.
Thanks!
The clarinet and piano also have a bit of a "ragtime" feel.
For sure.
Morgan James, Dream on
you should check out Umbrella with Casey Abrams on Postmodern Jukebox
An underrated PMJ song is Sarah Niemietz doing "I Want You To Want Me" with Snuffy Walden on guitar. The style is slow vintage blues which is a perfect fit for the song.
czcams.com/video/0hi1jVceof8/video.html
Thanks I added it to the list.
Welcome to PMJ! Morgan James is one of their featured Artists. "All About that Bass" with Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Morgan James & Ariana Savalas (Telly's daughter) czcams.com/video/aLnZ1NQm2uk/video.html , Haley Reinhart, Morgan James & Ariana Savalas "Burn" Sydney Australia - czcams.com/video/q5E2IsozXBQ/video.html then Morgan & PMJ's cover of "Dream On" - czcams.com/video/Yq4KA0mUnC8/video.html , "Maps" czcams.com/video/8gO_lxThc1M/video.html and "I Really Don't Care" czcams.com/video/EddjOiFcp9Y/video.html . I got these ones too. Thanks!
Listen to Emma kok singing viola.
Sweet Megg is a new artist for me and she fits in perfectly with PMJs asthetic. Haley Reinhart, Puddles Pity Party, Morgan James, and Telly Savalas' granddaughter are others who have killed it with them. You are in for a around the world in 80 days journey with PMJ
Thanks Eric! I’m really digging what they do. It’s amazing!

Yep they were fantastic Paul!
@@bobcieslinski enjoy the ride... definately worth the price of admission... FREE!!
React to Hakkarskaldyr by Heilung, live, please!
I'm not particularly impressed with her voice, but the music was fantastic
They have over 400 videos and, I'll be honest, this song isn't even in their top . . . 100.
Wow incredible.
