Love Haley, Morgan, Arianna, and all of the singers that accompany PMJ; however Scott Bradlee(pianist/arranger) is the mastermind that I bow to. I've watched plenty of his productions, and they are all spectacular with a little humor thrown in.
I agree, I listen to PMJ almost every day.
Haley has unlimited vocal tools in her toolbox. You have to be on your toes when you analyze her cuz she throws everything at you vocally. She is definitely the best American pop jazz Singer.
I'd take the word pop out of your description.

PMJ has some great singers on their roster and Scott Bradlee has an amazing talent for arrangement. This one and "Creep" by Haley and "Dream On", "Take Me to the Church" and "Maps" by Morgan James are the best of an incredible bunch.
Haley is easily the best vocalist to have ever performed with PMJ. In fact, she is the single biggest factor that morphed PMJ into a viral touring sensation.
Anyway, you should react to her cover of "Creep" with PMJ. As that one remained on the Billboard Digital Jazz Chart for 58 straight weeks. Her covers of "Seven Nation Army" and Oops, I Did It Again" are also pretty damn awesome.

@@thecaptainmarko Sorry dude, Sarah is a decent vocalist, but when it comes to performing and singing, Sarah isn't close to being in Haley Reinhart's league. I mean, go look at Sarah's music video view counts and then go compare them to Haley's. It's not even remotely close.

tnx for your message. I still believe Sarah is the original but I really agree taste matters as well so I will give you that one. On the view count I think Haleys other succes outside PMJ might have big influence there being the nations sweet heart AGT and all :-).
Its just to me, really personally to me, a little thing in Sara's voice that rocking my boat ringing my bells etc.

PS Haley with Myles Kennedy and and Slash will be played at my funeral. Music doesnt come better then that. Some hardcore wild horses there.
In season 10 of Idol, two young kids (a young man named Scotty McCreery and a young woman named Lauren Alaina) singing country music were voted ahead of the great Haley Reinhart. This voting defines America much more than it does Haley Reinhart's talent. IMHO, the three greatest performances ever delivered on Idol were: Adam Lambert's; 'Mad World,' even better, Fantasia's; 'Summertime,' and the greatest of all, Haley Reinhart's; 'House of the Rising Sun.' Yet the two country kids, who were quite charming and talented, were voted better than Ms. Reinhart. Yes, the young teenagers were good, but they weren't in league, not really even in the same ballpark, as the great Haley Reinhart!

I put Haley second as the greatest vocalist I've ever heard just behind the great Ms. Eva Cassidy and if you listen to the two of them singing "Chain of fools" its eerie how similar their voices are, check it out.

Scotty Mcreery and Lauren Alaina were the two people ahead of Hailey on the tenth Season of AI. They are solidly successful country singers with loyal followings, just like Hailey but neither of them are as good, as singers. This probably why neither of them are truly big stars, while Hailey is an international, CZcams sensation because of her incredible vocals and Scott Bradlee's amazing arrangements. Scott is up there with Igor.

I scrolled back through almost a year of your videos and saw the video of them doing Creep during a stage performance. Their full production video is much better. Must Must watch their version of Seven Nation Army with Haley. She kills it and is drop dead sexy in a Jessica Rabbit sort of way.
Haley is in the class and level of a vocal artistic goddess. She is mesmerizing and hypnotic.

I think haleys journey on American idol was the beginning of the end of the series. Everyone knows, that the producers and the people behind the scenes have their favourite and how the edits turn out it’s obvious who they want to win. “They hated her on American idol” first thing said, because she came in, performed perfectly each week, authentically and stayed true to herself, and connected with the audience so much so that she got to top 3 without any help from the producers or the judges. It was obvious they had randy and jlo deliberately try and sabotage her momentum later in the season so they could protect Scotty and Lauren. I’m not saying Scotty and Lauren were bad, it’s just Haley was on another planet. I think a lot of people were off put by the whole thing. She’s a vocal goddess and similar to Kelly Clarkson can fit her voice to any genre and make it work. She’s just loves music and singing, she’s a diamond in the rough, I’m so glad post modern juke box has exposed her to a wider audience. She deserves the biggest stages but I’m just happy for her to do her thing. House of the rising sun on American idol made me
a fan for life.

She finished 3rd in the 10th season. (one of the few seasons I watched, because I was madly in love with her voice! Lol). That season Scotty McCreery won, and Lauren Alaina was the runner-up. Pretty good competition for that one!

I wouldn't say "they hated her on American Idol". She came in 3rd the season that Scotty McCreery won (and anyone paying attention knew Scotty was going to win from the very beginning). A travesty that Lauren edged Haley for 2nd, and an even greatest injustice that Casey Abrams only came in 6th that season.

On American Idol, Haley was ripped off. Because American Idol permitted power-voting, as opposed to one vote per individual voting and as they should have, Haley ended up being ripped off. Had only one vote per individual voting been permitted instead, Haley would have won American Idol easily in a major landslide. That's why to this day the majority of people who watched the show in season 10 still cannot believe that she did not win.
Nonetheless, Haley wasn't the first and she certainly wasn't the last contestant on American Idol to be ripped off and in fact, that's why American Idol on Fox lost its fans. The new show on ABC today is not the same show. The name is the same but everything else is different.

IIRC the big hubbub about S10 was it was the first time they lowered the entry age to 16. Lauren, Thia and Scotty were all 16 years old, it was to the show’s benefit to have one of them win the first time 16 was allowed. As the voting block that forced the coining of “White Guy With Guitar”, country music block voting pretty much guaranteed at least one would make the finals. Haley almost made the finals due to Lauren coming down with throat issues days before, but she recovered in time to make the show

Great reaction! Would love to see you react to Daneliya Tuleshova, a 15 year old from Kazakhstan. She won The Voice: Kids, Ukraine at 10. Her blind audition song was a cover of Demi Lovato's Stone Cold. She has many covers but also has a few originals and she raps. As far as her covers, I would recommend her cover of Aurora's Runaway and Birdy's Not About Angels

still don't know why Haley and Scott don't work together fulltime. His arrangements work best with her in the lead and the arrangements are much better than what she does solo.
Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez did everything they could to try to get her off the show but, the fans kept voting her through. The way that those two treated her is one reason that "Idol's" ratings took a nosedive. Haley was clearly the best of the final three and the viewers knew it. . . . . Glad they sabotaged the outcome. If she had "won" she probably would have disappeared like Scotty and Alaina did. . . . .,
Haley lost to Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. If you watch the video of her after being voted off of American Idol, the anger she has is palpable and her rendition of "Bennie And The Jets" is a not-at-all subtle FU to everyone responsible.
I don't blame her for being pissed because she was ripped off. Had American Idol permitted one vote per individual voting only, as opposed to power-voting, Haley would have easily won the show in a major landslide, as opposed to being ripped off. As neither McCreery or Alaina are remotely as talented as Haley and they also both know it.
However, and it is a big however, post idol, both McCreery and Alaina are far better than Haley with respect to their own respective music careers. How? Because they both hired professional business managers with staffs to work over time managing their careers for them. While Haley, on the other hand, manages her own career and Haley can't possibly compete with full time professional business managers with their staffs working over time, while she does it only part time to still have enough time to do gigs.

Also, keep in mind, the viewing (and voting) demographic for AI was young females, and they were notoriously voting for the attractive male contestants, which likely explains Haley's exit.
Scotty McCreery won season 10 of American idol and has had a good deal of success in the Country Music world. He has had far more commercial success than Haley. I am not a fan of Country Music, but it has an enormous fan base and it is easy to see why, on a show based on fan voting, there could be a winner from that genre. As for the question, is he better than Haley? That is a complete apple to oranges question. They are too different to compare. And music is too subjective to distill into such a simple equation. Personally, I prefer Haley in every imaginable way.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that this was a great reaction and a good analysis of Haley's techniques. Great job!

Some of the judges on American Idol must have felt talentless compared to her . Jealousy at play !
