What Happened After The Collapse Of 10 Major Historical Powers

- Throughout history, great powers have risen and fallen. Some disappear suddenly, while others take decades - if not centuries - to slip into the night. The fall of one order usually provides a vacuum for another to fill, but the immediate transitory period is one of chaos, drama, and intrigue.
A major power's collapse in one area can fundamentally change the character of another one thousands of miles away. Alexander the Great's sudden demise dictated the course of the next 300 years of the Hellenic world, while the fall of Constantinople had a huge impact on Moscow.
This collection looks at what really went down right after these major powers fell.

July 4th 1776 - Trump's Re-Election.
@@IsaacTuduriLlabres You're a foreigner, so you don't have opinions about the US.
I cannot say this enough: I really admire and appreciate the narrator's effort to pronounce non-English names and terms as closely as possible, and often being pretty decent at it too imo! 👍
😊 yes!!!!
This guy makes this channel
lmao it’s basic respect and not that hard to learn. it’s just a matter of respect. such an american thing to celebrate as if it’s not common place. or should be.
We're all living in "Weird history" right now!😂
We're seeing the attempt to end national identity wiped out by the WEF and illuminati.
Wow! You pronounced "Simón Bolívar" and "Córdoba" in Spanish with the stress on the correct syllables! You don't get that often from English speaking CZcamsrs... I really appreciate the effort. Gracias and keep it up!
The Narrators name is Tom Blank I don't know how many languages he speaks but he's incredible
sadly the Japanese pronunciations on the other hand.......
Spanish and Japanese are the easiest languages in the world to pronounce correctly! Mostly because they are almost always spelled exactly the way they are pronounced and don't have difficult consonant clusters or unusual vowels.
@@MatthewTheWanderer I don't know any Japanese, but that’s certainly true about Spanish.
Are you all sure it's not one of these AI voices?
Nice Bill and Ted reference!
Al Leong! The actor who played Ghengis Khan in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure might have the most badass filmographies in cinematic history. As well as the aforementioned role, he also played...
Bad guy with the meat cleaver in Big Trouble in Little China.
Bad guy who steals the candy bar in Die Hard.
Bad guy who tortures Riggs with the jumper-cable electrocution in Lethal Weapon.
Bad guy who gets killed with an ice cream cone in Last Action Hero.
And those are just the acting roles he had in popular movies, he's been in a lot of b-movie cult classics. He's also a stunt/fight choreographer as well!
@@ArcherSuh4721 yeah, he's pretty awesome!!
Thanks for acknowledging that the "Dark Ages" were not the whole of the Middle Ages, and they weren't as dark as many people believe.
Only dark for the Europeans, really. The rest of the world kept on trucking.
The "dark" ages are so-called because there was a drop in literacy and especially written history. Before that there had been a lot of (very biased) Roman historians and diarists. It wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. The introduction/invention (depends on who you ask lol) of Caxton's printing press - probably based on olive and/or grape presses - is usually considered to be the age's end and the start of the mediaeval times.
Love hearing your weird history take on things! I was a kid in the '90s and '00s, so it would be fun to get a video from you guys about Pizza Hut and the pan pizza program. Otherwise, keep it up with the top notch vids.
Hey man, my anxiety is bad enough as it is with the state of the world. Weird History? More like... Worried History
Nothing to worry about, history never repeats itself. Everything is gonna be fine.
Quit worrying. Be a man!
Anyone else click on this video to take notes on what to do as our shitshow is going down in flames, lol?
One world government is coming.
A+ video!
Fascinating topic and examples!

Technically, the sun still never sets on the British Empire
How so?
@ilovemalechickens All the random British colonies around the world are just spaced out enough so there is daylight somewhere in the world that is a British possession.

Thanks for this! 🔚
The Seleucids in Persia fell to Parthia. You forgot two by the way.
The final nail in the coffin for the British empire was when they returned Hong Kong to China.
The British Empire hasn't died. It's just taking a rest.
Ah yes the best narrator. Ty
10:45 It's interesting that the 90s there were so unstable, they were a blast in the states!

Never thought I’d ever hear Rome, Georgia referenced on a weird history vid haha.
So that's why Constantinople got the works!
Are you a turk? If not, it's not your business 😂
@@twillison8824 Ok, ok.. sheesh. It's just that I have a date in Constantinople!
Two things:
1) The narrator is so great, I admit I only watch episodes featuring him.
2) Who is he? I, for some reason, can't imagine him NOT having a well-maintained beard.

Huh, I was taught in school that Kyiv was the 3rd Rome and always remembered that factoid because of never heard it anywhere else until here (except you had it as Moscow,, but the same movement North from Constantinople).
Nice Beatles photo…George, Paul, John and…The guy who filled in when Ringo had appendicitis.
HA! Loved that NFT diss!
No empire will last forevee
1:00 One of my friends, while talking about Alexander The Great, said he was better at being a conquerer than an actual ruler.
Technically because of Pitcairn Island, the sun still doesn’t set on the British Overseas Territories.
The Paul brother joke was very nice 😂
Even old New York was once New Amsterdam, why they changed it I can't say(maybe they liked it better that way)
And in Canada York became Toronto.

6:20 The tv series Tiny Toons (1990-1992) is such a great show!
10:35 who the hell is that on the right and where's Ringo?
I think that's Jimmy Nichol. There was a period during their first or second US tour where Ringo got sick (had to have his tonsils removed maybe?) so Jimmy played a few shows while Ringo had surgery/recuperated.

When the Roman Empire collapsed what happened to the Roman armies stationed at the outlying edges of the Empire? Did they find their way back to Rome, or did they assimilate with the natives where they were stationed?

They might be giants did a remake of that song. The original is by the four lads.
The Roman Empire was mighty and amazing but "the pinnacle of civilization" was a hell of an overstatement, a society that wipes their ass with a communal sponge is far from the pinnacle lol

No no no, it's not going to happen to MY powerful empire the way it's happened to every empire since time immemorial. MY empire is built different.
...Why did you show the HRE coat of arms when referring to the Roman 'Empire' that conquered the Diadochi? It was the Roman Republic that conquered the Diadochi. Actually, funnily enough..
The last to fall was the Ptolemic Kingdom of Egypt to Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus. Who because of his conquest of Egypt and defeat of Marcus Antonius. Was awarded the title of Augustus and Princeps. Which is generally accepted as him taking the throne as the first Roman Emperor.
No, no one with a brain considers him to have been the first Roman empire. Stop lying.

I'm glad that you told part of the truth about the 90's in Russia. I was born into this time and lived until 1996 in St. Petersburg before moving with my family to Germany. During this time the West (particularly the USA) praised Russia as so much more "democratic" as ever before, while the Russians starved or drank themselves to death. I remember vividly how we watched Yeltsin's resignation and Putin's nomination for president through satellite technology, grainy, barely visible, but we were jubilant! We didn't know much about Putin during this time, the only thing we knew was that everybody would be better than the drunken puppet Yeltsin. Now we are very happy that Putin is president. I've voted for him before and I will do it again. He is the GOAT.
