    I love Ku'ulei. She's so akamai. What is that guy from NY doing on the luc? Again, here's some "foreigner" (ha'ole) which translates to one with out the breath of life, sitting on a "commission". WHY? Auhea na Kanaka Ma'oli????

      That’s not what haole means. It’s haole, not ha’ole. Different words entirely. The “without breath” thing has been debunked long ago. Also it’s “Kanaka Maoli.” No ‘okina.

    It's the clearest explanation said for all these mtgs held so far. If anything Kuulei Kanahele should be placed on a board representing all of the Aina from mauka to makai. NO offense to this gentlemen coming to our island to have a better health, but still they don't hear what they want. Nothing on the Mauna. A'ole to any structures on the Mauna. Well said STOP PUTTING ANYTHING UP THERE PERIOD!!!! Move hoku Kea, then to hale pohaku, A'OLE means A'OLE . NO we commissioning a structure and building on another. A'OLE

    In the United States we do not make laws based on religious beliefs. Be very careful but wishing we did. Because the long term result would be Christian fundamentalist making laws based on what they think is sacred. Hawaiian cultural practitioners pressing for this should really think deeply about what christians of done in the past to similar groups. Christians, fundamentalist christians, are who will be the ones making those laws on the national and state level.

    • @c.kainoabugado7935
      @c.kainoabugado7935 Před 4 lety +2

      What we regularly experience is laws plain ignored then the people do not fight back legally because that knowledge was conveniently left out of the education curricula, by supposedly Godfearing people. Kingdom laws were based on the Bible as you can view those laws clearly using biblical language. Hawaii just never got the opportunity to develop to what you say. ANYWAYS that's what attorneys are for! To provide the "word art" needed to advance their argument or point of view. Religion is not the only reason to respect the Wao Akua but the environmental resources they encompass. Which sounds like a wonderful and wise concept for volcanic ISLANDS thousands of miles from other countries who are supposed to be Allies... that's yet another issue.

      @@c.kainoabugado7935 The problem is you seem to think TMT supporters don't know, don't understand, or don't respect your spiritual belifes. We do. The thing is, those belifes are not reasons to not do something like TMT. This is just an extension of the same logic that would get us to oppose say ... teaching creationism in schools.

      @@HontasFarmer80 I do not make the mistake of thinking foreigners to my culture understand it the way I do. So Yes, even US Christianity is different in Hawaii cuz we took what missionaries taught us with what we knew from before and made translation corrections to the 1611 KJV. What we do KNOW is TMT supporters do not understand our culture and ties to our land. This video where she says nothing of man belongs in Wao Akua above the 15mile marker is what I mean. That is both cultural and religious to me. I am aware of the Kapu that were on those lands. Our Country laws, Hawaiian Kingdom, support no building in Wao Akua. Hence I brought in the environment aspect instead of the religious. Kupuna took over now. 50yrs after the first lie from the State is ample time for resolution. TMT is just the start of the end of Genocide for us and I'm glad this occurred. Political Businesses is what got Hawaii under the US control. The reverse can happen too.

While it stopped I learned the cement of that project contains bones from my ancestors! NO RESPECT FOR OUR BURIALS AND BURIED FAMILY! instead grind them with the rest...added weight to be sold. NO ALOHA IN BUSINESS. Government is a business, no longer a service to the People.

      First of all, kinda funny all that hate coming from a "christian" NOR Christ like in the least, he even said it himself. "For I did not come into the world to condemn the world but rather so that the world may be saved through me". And the quote "you can attract more flies with honey than vinegar" is true and that's why Jesus (Yeshua) made such an impact, such as someone like MLK who used love to overcome hate. Just like the kanaka of yesterday and today, we have been beaten, pushed down, ran over, neglected etc etc etc by the US government. You have NO clue on our history of what has happened to us (my particular belief is we are a tribe of Israel, the true Israel, not the Israel the US made; but rather the Israelites from the Bible and we are the tribe of naphtali through the menehune who were here PRE pa'ao and the kamehameha bloodline who became ali'i and the menehune who became peasants). The kane type worship and heiau's are similar to Israelite beliefs from the Bible. As for ku'ulei kanahele, she is the sweetest person I have ever met. I took her olelo 201 and 202 as well as her makawalu class and I've only seen her get mad once when a student signed up for a workshop that was two days long and the chick slept both days back to back. Kumu got mad and told her college isn't high school and you don't need to come to school if you wanna just sleep and snore in class. Before you start attacking someone tho, you need to stop and think about your approach and delivery. You sound worst than Christ acting as though you wanna condemn her to hell yourself as though you are him, thank God y'all Christians aren't cause then no one would ever make to heaven y'all are so judgmental and downright hypocritical. When was the last time that you sinned? Do you want the telescope? Is that a sin to want a building to look into space when the last time they tried building a ziggurat to the heavens, what did god come down to earth and do? And you wanna go maha 'Oi the heavens anyway? Y'all can't even take care our earth that God gave to us. So sad you're so hateful, I'll make sure to pray for you that you can become a better Christian. Aloha 'oe

      Kalani Low , I do not have an imaginary friend, so USA is still oppressing the 1% entitled minority is that what ur saying? U mean like what’s China 🇨🇳 doing to Hong Kong 🇭🇰? Or would you rather be indigenous in Irian Jaya in Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬? Now the FILOs in Guam 🇬🇺 are doing the same, USA 🇺🇸 bad, very bad. Is Tahiti doing the same? Samoa 🇼🇸? Maoris? Polynesian culture is one of the most respected culture, u remember Moana? BJ Penn ooooopsss he’s Korean/ Irish ☘️ living in Hilo, is he part of ur tribe?

    • @SovereignHawaii
      @SovereignHawaii Před 4 lety +4

      @@QuarterHater9 oh you didn't know about the oppression pushed upon us? Let me sum it up for you real quick. 1843 we become a state by definiton, the only non european state (by definition of a country) recognized by great britain and france. 1887 white businessmen hold King Kalakaua at gunpoint and force him to give whites more rights (1887 bayonet constitution) and builds 'Iolani palace and furnishes it with lights and electricty for a 2 million dollar debt (which would be wiped clean and when the overthrow happens and was a major factor in the white businessmens reason for overthrow in 1893). 1893 the queen DID NOT and WOULD NOT sign the treaty of annexation and instead begin the ku'e petitons where 38,000 native Hawaiians out of 40,000 opposed annexation to ameriKKKa. BUT there was only 20 something people in the honolulu rifles and five white businessmen who were hawaiian nationals (citizens since your so brainwashed and only understand amerikkkan terms) who wanted to overthrow the Hawaiian kingdom (maybe it's my stupid ameriKKKan education but can you tell me who is more 38,000 versus let's say even 10,000 white businessmen; in the "process of democracy" who would win that vote? 😂😂 OR the only other explanation is white people think they're better than us and their lives and cultures mean more than our which can be found in the manifest destiny, the slave trade, the annexation of Hawaii, the treatment of native americans; that's your what's it called again COMMON DENOMINATOR along with your war campaigns y'all are just horrible). Then we jump to the investigations. Grover Cleveland issues the Blount investigation and the findings of that Blount report is it was ILLEGAL. The queen wants to execute them (as they were Hawaiian nationals charged with treason regardless of race) and then Congress issues the Morgan report and Mr. Morgan is a known grand dragon apart of the KKK. He states that the white businessmen should be protected due to the US assets and trading in the area and to enforce peace amongst the Hawaiians. They also blamed the rebellion as us being savages when really they were patriots no different than ameriKKKan patriots. So Cleveland withdrew support and McKinley the president after him issues a "joint resolution" making Hawaii a territory. BUT ameriKKKa can't do a joint resolution on Hong Kong, how can they to a sovereign nation in the middle of the Pacific? (Once again it comes down to race and military strategy at the time seeing as how we were fighting the Spanish ameriKKKan war in the Philippines). Then 1921 they establish Hawaiian homes. Prince Kūhio asked for 900,000 acres be set aside for Hawaiian homes and ANYONE of Hawaiian blood (down to 3% could receive Hawaiian homes). Congress changed it to 200,000 acres and 50% to apply and 25% to inherit Hawaiian homes. (In almost a hundred years 10,000 somewhat families live in Hawaiian homes and this is the MAIN reason why we're mad, cause we can't afford to live here with the cost of living but the Hawaiian homes isn't providing land). Then we talk about the Massie case (1932) and how they killed an innocent Hawaiian man due to a white navy officers wife's pride, anger and hate. They're sentences was commutted from 10 years to 1 hour due to the US Navy threatening Hawaii with marshal law. (Once again it comes down to race, navy people were singing "you call them Hawaiians but they look like "n*ggers" to me; Thalia Massie's mother said it's just like putting a dog down and the world is a better place now; fucking WOW). Then you talk about 13 telescopes on Mauna kea, a couple on Haleakala, the banning of Hawaiian language and hula in the past and the list can seriously go on and on and on. So, before you come to me and try to criticize me about Hawaiian history, culture or language; you need to come with FACTUAL stuff cause I really do go to college to learn this stuff and read the newspapers (yes we did have newspapers back then, there was 180 newspapers in the islands) from that time. As for you attacking my people for what they believe in, you should really self evaluate and fix yourself before you think you're so holy to judge others. As the Bible states, those who judge will be held to a higher standard. As for the deities, there is hula up there and while I'm sure the vast community is Christian; and if the Bible says if you worship deities then he shall judge you so why are you so focused on others, lastly what if I told you that I would use the mountain to pray to ke akua or the god and it's the highest point in Hawaii so that's the closest place that I can physically be to god and to show determination to go that far up where it's hard to even breathe to pray. That's true dedication to God) anyway we have been beaten, we are down trodden, can't y'all just leave us be to govern our own? Or are we once again not "entitled" to that OR once again do y'all still believe we're too stupid to do that?
