    You are right, Italians stare a lot. It has nothing to do with race or being different. Italians are visual people. When you first encounter an Italian that Italian will look at you and study every movement you make. It's a form of communication that foreigners will never understand. If you meet two Italians especially the older folks, simply by looking at each other they know what the other is thinking. Unfortunately, with the younger generation it's becoming a lost art of communication.

    Hmmm I think it's more accurate if you say 'ugandan culture" instead of "black culture." Where you are from, doesn't represent all other black people around the world. For instance, Black Americans have a culture different from yours. So do Jamaicans, Haitians, Bahamians etc. Just as white French people have different culture from white Americans, and so on.

    • @LindaTinahTV
      @LindaTinahTV  Před 8 lety +8

      Is that in reference to this particular video? I don't see anywhere I generalised cultures here. I do agree that not all black people have the same culture and I'm pretty sure I make it clear I'm African from Uganda in my videos but do mention that there are things that cut across the bigger part of Africa.

    • @demolitoner
      @demolitoner Před 8 lety +1

      Yes. "I have no problem educating them about black people, black culture...."

    • @LindaTinahTV
      @LindaTinahTV  Před 8 lety +6

      Yes, in reference to where I come from which is already mentioned. Also, from reading, travelling, association and interaction with black people from all over the world, I have more knowledge about our race compared to many of them and can still educate them about that as far as I know.

    • @LindaTinahTV
      @LindaTinahTV  Před 7 lety +11

      Right Stella. I can't speak for the entire Africa either because we still have differences. So what I mean should be obvious.

    Italians LOVE curvaceous women that is why the looks probably. I do believe we are attracted a lot by chocolate women. We dont have a lot of blacks living in Italy so ppl are not really used to but I can say for sure we are not as racist as the white americans vs african americans. Here u can feel racism and its bad too.
    Anyways thank you again for nice words and keep up with the good gospel about Italy

    I love Italy, the people and culture. I've also dated an Italian guy from Florence when I was a single girl. You are so right about the part where we are so sexualized there due to previous prostitution in the past. Back in 2010 I was in Rome vacationing with a girl friend of mine(she's Caucasian ) . One evening I decided to go out alone and a guy in his car followed me many blocks all the way to the hotel while I was walking and he kept on talking to me in Italian.He didn't speak English and I kept telling him " Non parlo L'italiano" but he kept on going. I didn't feel threatened or scared , but who knows.. Maybe he was asking me " how much?" I have no idea😅 and I was just wearing jeans and a blouse nothing revealing. Overall, I love that Italy. I'd visit every year if I could.

    Italians stare at black girls in order to distinguish and understand if you are a prostitute from Nigeria (there came a lot with illegal immigrants), if you are a tourist, or if you are a naturalized italian citizen. There is a looong moment of suspense before you or them could solve the doubt by saying something.

Hair....this struggle is real waaaaa, don't even remind me of it. My fro though was an attention attractor...hehe
    I used to use the train alot and sometimes I would see some people weren't so comfortable seating next to me...I just had to ignore that./...so I don't know whether that counts as racism or discrimination :P

To think they are less than could be a bit true because of the jobs the black do here, few are able to get white collar jobs and so do the work Italian won't do. But that should change with the younger generation. So true about people being brought here form Africa for the wrong reasons. Thanks for your input.

    I Have experienced the same problems her in Dk, but I have never felt discriminated either. Have also been asked "how much" before. Am natural so I do my own hair. But yes the salons here are also too expensive, Mac, Lancôme and Bobby brown have lots of our colour. Sephora has lots too, but for girls in the country side it's a problem. But girls in the Uk and Us have more choices:-)

    So glad you shared this. As far as the sexual advances, I honestly think that is a European thing. I think, secretly, European men are more attracted to African/black women. It happens in America too but on the sly. For example our media pushes sexual images of black women or black women dating white men although 94% of black women in America date black men and most black women according to studies are very modest...not sexual. I find it very, very interesting. I would like to visit Italy. I'm interested in learning more about it. Maybe I could figure out how to shop and get some good deals...LOL. I just subbed.

    People need to stop making themselves ill in the fairy tales. The reality is Allah says in the qur'an chapter 15:26 with certainty we created man from clay and from the blackest altered of mud. Meaning prophet adaam which means made from black mud in Aramaic and the original Hebrew, Arabic, meaning black man. The 2 types of ancient blacks who has been attached to prophet adaam, and who was on the earth first, 10 generations after prophet adaam, and after flood of nuh (noah peace upon him were the Adaamah= black person with no red, Aadami= black person with red tone. 3 sons of Noah who repopulate the rest of the world (khaam or haam father of the africans were black skinned, saam father of Arabs and Israelites were black skinned, yafith or japhet father of Asia and west Asia which is now called Europe were black skinned were black skinned. Through these ancient blacks other colours came through which is why these light skinned descendants of haamities, saamities, japheties are olive skinned. The question is olives come in green and black so what olive r they attached to. Either way to have olive skin u have to have black in u. The only Africans who r not olive skinned were the sidonites children of sidon who is the son of canaan who is the son of haam who is the father of Africans those sidonites came out white skinned the first ancient white people. However olive skin is not pure white it's a tan which allows them to go out in the sun and white people know that and envy it. The original Asiatic people were black skinned, Chinese, Indians,Japanese, koreans,mogualians Pacific islanders etc r all the descendants of Hith father of the hitties, and other tribes from him. He is the other son of canaan who is the son of haam who is the father of Africans

Even the blacks who are born there are not accepted. A person of Italian descent born in Argentina, Brazil, Australia is considered to be from that country but the rules change when you are of color in Italy. I hate this double standard.
