    Hi, I am Italian and I moved to the UK 12 years ago. My daughter was born in UK and she is going to the school in here as well. I believe schools in Italy are honestly very good since they focus on studying and all, while in England they are focus on extra activities and other things and it is really impossible to develop a good common sense e general knowledge. Basically no one knows anything in here, it's so disheartening to talk to people who have no clue on any topic

    • @LindaTinahTV
      @LindaTinahTV Před 12 dny

      @giulianeda I will agree that the Italian system really puts in a lot of effort to give as much knowledge possible to the kids ESPECIALLY ABOUT ITALY. What I think we all need is a good balance.

    Great video! Love the different conversations. I'm African, living in US and grew up here, so it gave me a unique perspective on culture/race and relate to both sides. I agree with G that no one should ever go up to another human being, especially a child and just touch their hair, a part of their body. It's not healthy to allow children to think it's okay for strangers to touch them for reasons of safety and boundaries in addition to it's just not okay.

    Thank you so much for sharing your views on life in Italy. I am American who was stationed in Naples, Italy for 4 years. Southern Italy is very different than northern Italy. I too experienced the same ups and downs as you. I will ALWAYS have a deep fondness for Italy. It is a part of who I am now. The food, the people, the beaches, the noise of the city, the history, the culture are all AMAZING! I have so many items around my home today to constantly remind me of the life that I lived while I was there. I thank God everyday for those experiences. I'm always telling anyone (who will listen) that if you're going to Europe, you must visit Italy. But with all that beauty they're were some days where the (racist moments) too my breath away and made it a little hard to bear. My hope for Italy is that they don't stay so stuck on how "it's always been" that the world leaves them behind. Change is coming to all of us. I hope to see my old Italian neighborhood again and breathe in the Mediterranean air. To ride around the city on a moped and just for a moment try to forget the negative people who tried to kill my joy. Forever love Italy.

What you said about the education system is not related to the school your kids are: extracurricolar activities are something I learned the existence of only when I started looking at other countries's schools. I was also happy to hear that you haven't had any heavily racist experiences, although the further you go from big cities the less white Italians are used at seeing people of different color. And, as you said, Italians don't like big changes, they like to keep things traditional.

It's easy to bypass the paid membership and send your number in blocks of 4, then wait until the one you want types in 'Next'. Then send your next four numbers and so on. For this to work you should type one message at a time and wait for the word 'Next' to appear after each four numbers.

    This is such an interesting conversation, L. Interesting to see the differences and similarities between African and African American women. But also, the differences and similarities within the same country (Uganda). If I'm not mistaken, historically women (especially those that belonged to one of the three social classes) in my part of the country worked. Men (not all of course) were generally considered lazy especially those from two of the three social classes. Today, the stereotype of the lazy man from that part still lingers (apparently most men preferred work that wasn't physically demanding and hence considered lazy).

      What would you attribute this "laziness " to?

    With 3 to 4 women is he providing? Are each womans emotional needs met? Are theybpushibg down emotions and jealousy? I think we can start to revisit what providing means for those in the American culture who are being convinced to try this. I understand this is the culture in Africa so in no way do I look to change that, but I've heard so many stories here online from African women who were the children or wives in these situations who have not shared positive outcomes at the end of the day. Curious.???

      That's where they get it wrong. They may be able to financially provide for all but there's no way they can emotionally and physically be there for them.

    As an African American woman, I will not live under the roof with any man whether it's rent or mortgage, mine or his and pay rent or mortgage. I feel, on the smallest scale, this a mans responsibilty providing shelter. Now this doesnt mean as the Proverb 31 woman that I am, that I will not have provision, a business and income and if times get hard be able to be a help meet. But it will not be because of his financial irresponsibility or continuous financial abuse to our livelihood. I'm traditional by nature, in touch with my feminine energy and have a plethora of value to enhance a man's life. I enjoy the company of a healthy masculine man where I can provide nurture and care with ease, without dominance and demanding behavior, which is not masculine or provider energy. A rich man doesn't necessarily mean a generous man.

    There are definitely African Anerican women who feel the same about men being providers. Even before marriage the few serious relationships I had I was well provided for. I really didnt think this wasn't standard until recently seeing the opinions on the internet. The,50/50 rhetoric. There are African women who expect provision but will settle for less. I think women for the most part are very similar in what they truly desire until conditioned or manipulated out of it. My father was a full on provider. My mother worked, by choice, but was not responsible for any Bill's or monetary needs of the family. I will say the narrative of 50/50 is running rapid in American culture. It allows the men to be less ambitious and often entitled and the women to. be overly exhausted and eventually operating in their masculine. I find that some of the submissiveness men have been taught that African women have is really trained submission not necessarily submission generated from being honored and loved. We as a collective of women are rising in consciousness and understanding of our feminine nature and power and deservedness. The world is resetting. And it beautiful. At the end of the day, we are one.

      This provider rhetoric is not something genuine in the US. History shows that this idea was not prevalent until the late 40s and early 50s. Before then, men and women worked in an agrarian life or the burgeoning manufacturing industry, and there was no time when black women didn't work by and large, including being forced labor from slavery and after. Only the top 5٪ of whites had kept wives, and this has become the narrative in the USA, whereas a 6 figure man today, my money pales in comparison to old money. What 100k could buy in 1960, I have to make 1 million dollars to have an equivalent value today due to inflation. This conversation can't be had with unrealistic, unaware, and ignorant people who have not the research and study nor the care to understand the issues. This is all emotional hubris, not logical reasoning. Data speaks truth while people tell lies knowingly or ignorantly.

    Interesting Video LT. I've had a love hate relationship with money for long. And this was only because back home we are never taught about money, even in schools. As I've aged, I've learnt to respect money more. Not to love it like you said but to make it serve me. Still on a learning curve, but in a better place with Mr dimes now more than ever! That said, I should also say that the love (obsession) of money can be a very dangerous thing. It is the only thing God said, to be the root of all evil...the love of money!

    Hi Linda, thanks for this! I also have a complicated relationship with money and am always trying to find ways to make more! I also grew up in a family with not much money, so one of my goals is to be financially stable and thriving. I haven’t quite figured it out yet (I have student loans from university), but I am trying to improve my skills to make myself more marketable.
