the way she just dared inksoul to sign the papers reminded me so much of when jon met up with jude perry for the first time.

I think the crosshatched lines are more web than spiral, binding whatever fear magic is happening to the person.
This episode gave me huge Jude Perry Desolation vibes, though I agree with the majority saying this is flesh. I think at this point the lines are blurred and it's all of the above.
I'm having to actively work to not deep dive on alchemy during this break.
This will be a fun episode to tell my tattoo artist about next month when I go back for my next session.
I really hope, if Gwen did get tattooed, that we get a good description of look and location. It's gonna make the fan art so so so fun.
I find it interesting that people who see the tattoos seem to become obsessed with them.
I saw a comment saying GSR security stood for Gertrude S. Robinson, which is very funny if that is true, I don't think she has a middle name though that we know of.
After doing some research on alchemy, I have noticed some off with the logo, the primary symbols are salt (highest), sulfur (medium) and mercury (lowest), sulfur appears more than salt which means the balance of the primaries was already off beforehand because the logo would have been made after the fact

This episode really reminded me of the one with Jude Perry (TMA SPOILERS) where essentially they make a trade: Judy gives her statement and in return the gets to burn Jon. So maybe this is the same - the last thing we hear is not Gwen running off but the drilling of the ink pen 😱

it makes so much sense if our Celia thinks that TMA Georgie and Melanie and their friends were these super badass time travelers who were waiting out the apocalypse until the timeline was reset. Like... I suppose it just makes sense that Celia is tossing up whether it was interdimentional travel or a change in the timeline and at this point even I'm questioning things lol
my sibling is a huge fan of the historic principles of alchemy but they haven't finished TMA aaaaaaaaa Im just asking them really obscure questions trying to get extra clues XD
One of my favorite parts of alchemy is the belief that the Philosophers Stone could be created by putting something through all of the several fundamental processes! Such as burning something, melting it to change its state, digestion to dismantle an object, and more. And my personal favorite: literally just making it soggy

it was funny (in a 'oh no!' sort of way) that ink5oul was like 'next time send someone who's more senior' (not recently promoted to the position, actually knows what they're doing) and gwen immediately went 'oh fuck you, i CAN do this job as well as lena can' and started being really mean and aggressively pushing to close

Gwen made Ink5oul give a stament against their will, does that mean Gwen has Jon's Archivist powers? Do all employees of the OAIR have those powers or is it just her since she was "promoted"?
