i love how john keeps going with a completely straight face while nick is sitting there choking to death
😭😭
He's trying to kiII him lol
I love how in the one with John oliver, George coughs ever so slightly and gil is really caring, but in this gil is straight up choking and george doesn't care at all. Perfect.
John is absolutely Genius! “Teeny fish” omg he does all with nothing! He’s a Genius!
I'm always shocked by how much 1970's/80's NYC history these two know off the top of their heads.
i mean they were there
because it was such a better time back then
KOCH SLEAZE🤘
@@WarriorQueenUnicorn gone but not forgotten but also forgotten
@@arbytoaster22 🤣😘🙌🍎🗽❤
"I was protesting at stonewall, I didn't care for the jukebox" is BRILLIANT
“We lost Joan this yeah, thank god” is the most Joan Rivers line
It's not new, but at least it will be extra crisp for my 15th viewing.
@Maya Wik god damnit, I was going to say that
@Ddhfacetyy i feel like this just plays in my head 24/7
me asf rn
Hahah,I’m back at it again as well.
I’m not sure why but for some reason this one doesn’t get me at the same level as the John Oliver one
When you watch so much of these George and Gil videos you lose track of which ones you have or haven't seen, yet it's so stunningly amusing you still watch them all anyway. How in the hell do these guys so effortlessly channel this very specific sort of elderly New Yorker? And why do I, a 28 year old from Chicago, resonate so much with this? Love it.
I’m 22 born and raised in Oklahoma City and I adore every second despite knowing very little about 70s/80s New York
I love that John nearly doesn't break at all😂
@@redprism5522 I'm John - we all know he exists outside of time (doesn't age)😂
He makes it work to his advantage when he gets close, definitely a pros pro
The 1 second of hope we had new Gill and George content
Congrats, you're getting your wish!
Listen to the P’dcast
Brandon Thomas it was so good
Pls tell me you heard Pete Davidson confusing Rosanna by Toto with the Elton John tribute to Princess Diana. Had me laughing all day
2015
Mulaney blindsided Kroll HAAARD with that 'best of screaming about Isreal' bit @9:09 ROFL ROFL
George: ‘The wine would flow, and the conversation would flow, and he’d pull out a 38 and we’d go “Jesus Christ!”’ 😂😂😂
34:11
“Where’s my fake badge?”
*silently hands him fake badge*
A perfect gag.
they have a podcast now, for anyone who feels hopeless
*a P’dcast

Thanks for reacting this. I knew they would have one, one of these days!
John Mulaney is brilliant both here and doing stand-up, but I gotta say Nick is super underrated in general, especially as Gil. He’s awesome at improv and absolutely nails this character. Just the right balance of true Gil plus a teeny bit of breaking now and again and some meta jokes. Amazing.
The improv is amazing with these two characters. John is a comedic genius and Nicks annunciation of certain words cracks me up 😂😂😂
I love how you can hear Willie chuckling pretty much nonstop through the whole thing
Yes i absolutely love willie in this he did a great job
Omg I never knew an hour of improv could fly by so quickly. Genuine class.
The best part is how John makes Nick break character.
Tal Moore nick can’t break John this. It’s so funny
The amount of laughs per minute with these guys is incredible.
"what's your apartment address? honeywhatsyouraddress?"
fucking deaddddd
the level of improv on them astounds me every time
Mulaney's face in response to 'I'm an aspiring prankster..." Priceless! :-D
Don't reupload this and make me believe there's another George and Gil talk!
This is *such* a George & Gil move. 🙄
I was so excited 😔
Jason Curtis Rivera, you can tell it’s old by what they’re wearing. And the characters are very different in their style as well
But now it's "HD version" 😕
"No it was a dig, it was a putdown."🙄
A few things... 1) sweet Willie Geist is all I hear when I watch the Today Show 2) Geist is dressed like a million bucks 3) it’s not nearly the funniest part and it doesn’t even get a laugh but when GSG says “we sold my phone” I laugh EVERY TIME 4) I have a YT playlist w/ this and the 2017 one w/ John Oliver on a playlist and listen to it every night when I go to sleep dreaming sweet dreams about D’Agastino’s & Too Much Tuna
@9:02 you can witness Mulaney's genius so perfectly. Gil (Kroll) asks what other sets they saw, and looks at him. The camera changes and you get to see Mulaney think, get the idea, and turn to deliver a hilarious answer, even Kroll breaks. It's just like putting a quarter in a machine and getting a treat. Incredible
I mean i love Geist but can we get Bill Hader to moderate??
That would be awesome! It would just be Gil and George rambling because Bill would be laughing too much to ask a question 😂
That would be so funny and bill would just laugh the entire time🤣
I 70th that motion!!
@@meaganpearce5675 so true. It would be like having Fallon moderate. Too Much Giggling.
John Oliver did a magnificent job, but I’d agree, Hader would be great, his laugh might blow their hearing aids
this was just mean to post, giving us false hope.
This got me through my divorce
this is better than most movies out there
The best part is how John makes Nick break character.
Thanks. Wore out the old one.
One of the best hours of improv I’ve ever seen
I love the chemistry between these two it's so wholesome they're a hilarious duo 🤣
What so great about this is how much better it makes the John Oliver version.
Aw, 'Sweet Willie' does alright.
Who do we talk to to get the ball rolling for an Oh, Hello Quarantined Interview done via Zoom or something? Because that needs to happen asap!
Shantha Bunyan Have you heard their podcast? Started a few weeks ago.
@@cl6998 Thanks for the heads up. It's a wonderful p'dcast!
It kills me how they channel the 70s like they were there.
Shantha Bunyan I know I’m sooo late but what’s the podcast called
@@whosjuno6992 its called Oh, Hello: The P'dcast. There are 10 episodes, I believe. Enjoy!
I LOVE to hear Willie Geist giggle.
i've read every comment and am utterly disappointed in the lack of respect for the inertia bernstein joke
Mulaney brings a light wafting of Alan Alda to the mix.
This is genuinely my favorite thing each of them has ever done and the let down of seeing this was a re-upload made me embarrassingly sad
Amazing professionals. They’ll wander off on improvised tangents but then they always bring it back around. So comfortable and witty in these absurd characters.
although i am angry that this isn’t new, i’m sure the deceit would make gil and george proud.
I would have LOVED if Martin Short as Jimny Glick interviewed them haha i laugh thinking about it
46:00 onwards is an improv masterclass, unreal timing and delivery on the punchline
"Larry David he stole Sinfeld from us!", had me on the floor, hahaha!
The roller coaster of emotion from thinking there was new Gil and George, to seeing the full title.
poor willie geist
god i love him
😂😂😂
I guess this what I’m watching for the next hour :))
Tuna Tuni 🐟🍸 Mar Tuna, More Tuna, Tork of The Town...🤣🗽🍎❤
This host can get....all of it.
I love how much fun willie geist is having. Also i think he was genuinely surprised when he found out he was gonna get pranked with tuna
34:03 was truly perfection
Nick Kroll and John Mulaney should play pain and panic in their own show
Absolutely that's goes to applause.
If john mulaney ever asked for my address I would melt
whenever one of them stares directly into the camera i fee the need to look away
@@eiddobjames1748 lol does it get too real?
John mulaney owns me 😂
What about George St. Geegland (Professor-Adjunct, distenure)?
this is the greatest thing to watch while high like.

I'm only commenting because I'm in Halifax, and the Nova Scotia jazz fest was this past weekend.
How were the martunas?
Sweet Willie Geist!!!
Lmfao my goodness, the improvisational skills of these guys is INSANE.
The burp after 18:05 is just… perfect
I love how nick always saves a bad joke with a ridiculous question/statement that has nothing to do with what he said 😭😂
thank you so much for this 92Y
So funny, and so free!
I'm as furious as they were when Steve Martin didn't do any of his comedy!
Ive nevert seen this so thanks for posting.
Note: St Vincent's closed and the building was torn down about ten years ago.
I watch these appearances on 92nd street Y more often than the show on Netflix :D
I'm enjoying a chocolate babka stuffed with smoked whitefish.
I love how disappointed John looks when Nick (after a moment of deliberation) notes that he calls his "semmen" heavy cream.

George- Sensual Samantha...
Gil- *mumbles* centr...centrum silver...
I'm from da UK.
So I don't get alot of it, but it's still totally hypnotizing 😂
I laugh at jokes that mean nothing to me with these sketches
That inertia joke... genius.
“Oh Jesus…” and then walks off the stage. Willie Geist is a treasure
Murphy brown bed joke was a DEEP cut
thank you for giving us this hd oh hello

This is ok but the one with John Oliver is so far above this one, it's truly sublime. Watching this one second was a bad idea!

this was 2 years ago. ive watched this too many times.
“Do Animal House man!”

Never heard of Robert Chambers (32:27)... Omfg!!! Hahaha!!!! I can't even..
watching this for the umptenth time, eating a tates cookie. a real salty cripser
I'm guessing John Oliver said no this time??? Lmao
That Amazon/Transparent joke was fucking brilliant 😅, I was mid sip of my coffee, and was choking for about 3 minutes
Where's the intro gone? It was so funny!!
Still funny!
Hey comment section… don’t smoke coke!
can someone pls explain the series at amazon joke at 42:40 i don’t understand and i’m so curious
Wasn’t Woody Allen writing an Amazon show at the moment this was filmed?
Sad they didn't show the (I can only assume) Kevin Smith look-a-like who asked a question!
Sounds just like Pete Davison though.
