- I was actually around the corner having a look at another potential cleanup when I saw this place on my way out and decided to knock on the door. When I offered to make over the tenant's yard for free, she was just about jumping out of her shoes. Apparently, her mower broke a few weeks ago, and I came along just at the right time. To say thank you for the work, the tenant bought me a box of chocolates and wrote a really nice card. She was so happy with her new yard, she even went out and bought a new letter box to finish it all off and assured me she will look after it from now on. All up, I spent around 15 hours on this job, with 3 trips to the landfill.

A: I have never even seen a snake in over 5 years on the job.

A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin.
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of bins?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I would say it's because Australia had a temperate to tropical climate, and therefore it doesn't matter that much if they are outdoors. To me, though, it seems a bit inefficient to have them outside in Tasmania with a temperate climate (coldish for 3 - 4 months per year). But that is industry standard down here 🤷♂️
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee?
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so now I work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering I always take away the green waste.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it, as my shed is too small.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on on to the properties.
4. I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k AUD on a stander, but it would be nice to have one!
5. I will get one as soon as my transport and storage problems are solved.
Q: What happened to your workers?
A: Because the work is so hard and I expect high standards, most have quit over time. The only exception so far is Nick.
Q: What types of ladders do you use?
A: The large one is a Gorilla Adjustable Platform 150kg and the small one is a Gorilla Mighty 19. They are both adjustable.
Q: Who/what is Jim's Mowing?
A: Jim's Mowing is a franchise business. The Jim's Group is the biggest home services franchise in Australia.
Q: Why do you have 2 channels that seem the same?

Our grass looks like that if we dont mow for a week in the summer, it grows extremely quickly with the sun and rain we have been having lately.

You don’t get enough credit for what you do . I’m a woman but I used to do my lawn frequently and it is really not an easy job .. now in my early 60s I can’t but wish I could . George I love to watch your channel. You do the most thorough job of anyone on You Tube doing lawn clean-ups. You pay such close attention to detail. I have a little OCD and when I watch you, you get all those "little" things that I see that drive me crazy when others leave them there. It is so satisfying to watch you. You did a wonderful job. They may have had problems maintaining the lawn but there is no excuse for the amount of just plain trash all over their property. I hope your work inspires them to keep their property up and put the trash in the bins where it belongs.

@kdenton Not one person? Have you seen every single person work hard doing lawn care? If you’re talking about the other people on CZcams who do lawn care, they do a great job and do repairs,and clean up the front and back yards,never the side yards. Maybe not everyone, but there’s several who do an excellent job, too. Not sure why you needed to bring up others you’ve seen, or everyone you’ve seen, but everyone is different in how they take care of their lawn or other people’s lawn. Some have the skills and experience more than the others. George does an excellent job and I bet it’s not always easy for just one person to do it all himself.

I love how you trimmed the bushes, shrubs, and trees. Putting the panels up for the fence made it look so much better. I wouldn't call the fence old and rotten, I would call it "rustic". 😊You really did a beautiful job on this one!
My Gram would take her floor wash and use a broom to wash down her sidewalks every week on Saturdays n Wednesdays. When we visited we did lawn, garden n wash sidewalk for her. Even til our later yrs. When she passed in a apartment home, we always looked after her.
I have watched dozens and DOZENS of these lawn transformation videos - mostly the ones done in the US - I am from Florida - NONE of them pay attention to detail as you do - your systematic approach to the space, finishing up one area before moving on to the next, raking up debris, I was honestly worried when I first saw that you use a hand mower instead of a zero turn riding mower - but you do superior work - you were right in mentioning that most of the lawns you do have narrow gates and smallish grass areas - honestly, I have found that you do more with less tools - way to go. I don’t know where you acquired your work ethic but oh my - you do WELL - carry on ❤

I understand how depressing it must have been looking at that unkempt yard daily. George, you did more than tidy up, you also lifted her spirits. Its great having a large lot, but only if you can maintain it.

At 70 years old ,I know what back pain is but my backyard big like a football field, is just beautiful , clean And no help. The amount of garbage you pick up was something and the end result.....spectacular! Congratulations ❤❤❤
How can you call it laziness? You have no idea of what the man who lives there is like? Back pain can be very debilitating no matter what age you are. It certainly curtails the amount of work I can do in the garden, and mine is not very bad at all, just age related mainly. They would also be very busy with the house and children, as well as full or part time work as well?

I’m surprised at the rubbish that people just abandon in their gardens, I’m from the UK and my garden is a 1/4 the size of this one, so easier to keep on top of it plus it’s low maintenance. BUT there’s no way I would just throw paper, boxes, plastic or just any old cr*p under beautiful shrubs bushes and trees.
