Have you ever seen anyone remove a 600 kg bougainvillea? The homeowner was concerned about the size of the bush and wanted it removed to open up the backyard and allow for easier maintenance moving forward. She was actually shocked that I managed to do it in less than an 8-hour day, with 3 trips to the landfill.

FAQ's:
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so I now work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Currently, I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k on a good ride on mower.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride -on in there.
4. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering we always take the green waste away.
5. I will get one as soon as all of the above are solved. - Zábava
It wasn't a bush. It was a monster! And he fell in an unequal struggle with Superman! Bravo!
Yes as seniors we need to recognize when we need help and ask for it
You slew the Dragon, George. That Bougainvillea was huge and thick in the center; well done! Excellent work!
That tall vine bush was some 😮💨 work for George. He was dwarfed by it. As always a 👍🏻 job by George. More than a Quick Cuts job.
Holy Bougainvillea mate, that was a transformation 👀
That was one big ass bush! Kudos on a great job! 👍
Good morning everyone hope you are having a good day. Greetings from the USA. Good job george.
You did good man
I wasn’t sure if I was watching a sheep shearing video, or landscaping. What a beast of a removal expertly done.
Broke my heart to see that beautiful Bougainvillea cut down, but it was crazy out of control. It shocked me to see how big that yard really was. You made it look effortless, but I know it was anything but. Hoping you didn’t get too many wounds while working. Those thorns are wicked! I’m hoping we get to see the rest of the yard. Looking forward to seeing how big it really is. Be safe out there, and thank you so much for sharing. This video was awesome! ❤️
Yeah, the homeowner probably wanted it gone, but it's beautiful if shaped nicely. The flowers are gorgeous. Wished it could've been cut back and shaped; it thrived in that area.
I agree completely
I don't like thornes, but this was a nice bush, could it just be cut back?
@@sandrastevens2793 yes, they can. Yoy can shape them as a nice tree, small ir big. This was a very neglected plant, they do survive a lot of neglect. Inc8dentally, flowers are good in tea, for cough. We prefer the deep purple ones, this was a red.
You can buy small growing ones. I've waited ages to see them for sale again and bought a couple in our early summer. I have another one I've had for about 30 years in a large pot and it has stayed the size of a small bush. You can also contain the large growing one in a big pot and keep it cut back. I keep three under my back windows which I'm pretty sure no-one is going to climb through their thorns to break into the house!!
As much as I love the flowers and color of bougainvillea, I know their thorns! So, I can just imagine how many holes your hands and arms had after this... despite having long sleeves and leather gloves! 😱😱😱
yeah, not a fun one 👍
Bougainvillea 0-George-100% a win. Brilliant idea cutting the bush like a cake. I guess that’s the difference between an amateur like me, and a pro like you. Great video. ❤😊
I love bouganvilla, here in Cape Town usually planted against perimeter wall or fence, however you do have to trim them and keep them under control.
Huge!!! A million trips to the dump, gosh. Sooo well done.
Take a hot soak bath, huh? Whew! Ahhh. 👍💓👏👏
That bougainvillea was gigantic. I would never imagine one could grow so huge. Good job! Hope you don’t have scars from the thorns.
George...you're officialy the "giant bush slayer"!!!
That was a lot of work.
That was amazing!
😉👍
Одно удовольствие вас смотреть 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
WOW! What removing 1 huge plant can do and a full day's work. Great job! I can't wait to see the rest of the yard, when you get finished. Pam in South Carolina, USA 🇺🇸 ♥️
Amazed how much effort was required to deal with the overgrown Bougaivillea! Great job!
عمل رائع انتظر منك الجزء التالي
I have never seen such a huge Bougainvillea! They are beautiful but a pain in the butt. Unblocking that view was worth taking it down. Great job as usual George 👍👍👍 Cheers 🍻
Здравствуйте! Давно не виделись! Вы всё в заботах, аки пчела)))
Работа выполнена как всегда безупречно, но растение красивейшее так жаль.
cheers, but that's what the customer wanted!
Fantastic transformation! What a giant to slay! Great job!
Just have to say I'm only 20 seconds in and I'm delighted by your choice in music! Your words on the screen, "I'm going to remove this large bush" backed up with the dramatic, almost menacingly frantic strings reduced me to giggles! I just love your sense of humor!
EDITED To Add: Just finished watching and wow! That was a monster! We had our very own St George slaying the dragon! 🐉
I enjoyed watching the view of the mountains being revealed as you cut the bougainvillea down. Such a pretty sight! I am really looking forward to seeing you conquer the rest of this yard. It should look beautiful when you've finished as it looks like a nicely laid out garden. 🌺🌿🌺
What a massive bush, but you got it done, great job, on to the next.
Man that was satisfying good job

Amazing job! Picturesque scenery in the background!
Well done George. That’s a lot of work. Amazing the space the bush took up.
Taking out the thorny vine was like taking down a giant. Amazing! This was an awesome transformation!
An amazing hide away garden, next to industrial living. This garden was well planned originally. Once, cut back will be easier to maintain moving forward! Well done on this beastie
Молодец! Как всегда хорошо!
Awesome job George as always. That's a beautiful bush, but needs constant attention. We have those here in Phoenix Arizona. I had one on my front yard, took my son several hours to dig out the roots. 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
Certainly looking more surfer, than gardener George. Warming up for the next chapter. This was an awesome upload, satisfying and such a great example of the way you work, tidying as you go. I love it and found this a super satisfying watch. 🥰
hahaha, thank you 🌞🥰
You looked pretty small next to that monster! Great job George!

The Newest product in the garden line, "George's Bush Be Gone" Get rid of those pesky bushes and trees. "Bush Be Gone" works in just a few hours. Satisfaction Guaranteed. Sad that you don't have a picker upper to help you with all that green waste. Are you gonna do the rest of the yard next?
All those thorns, all by yourself. You're the man George
That was massive, hope we get to see the rest of the yard in the next vid. Great job!
George, I admire your work ethic. Good job
No body does it better. Thank you for sharing another great job
I keep wondering how old is this monster. Hope you didn't have too many wounds cause that thing was fighting back. Well done, George.
That's rule # 1 , keep them trimmed and trained .
Well, they have nasty thorns, so many painful scratches 🤕🙂✌️
Wow! I’ve never seen that big of a bougainvillea removed! I’m sure that was quite a sticky situation! Great job, as always!❤❤❤
Amazing
Superb job for one man George👍
WTG George, Another awesome video!!! Never get tired of watching I truly professional person do what he really enjoys doing!!!!
That was amazing.
The availability of HIPA parts sounds interesting. I did extrapolate a similar method of taking down the Bouganvillea, thought of "sheering a sheep". Does seem to work but that was a lot of pounds/kilos of weight to remove/carry. Impressed with your persistence in getting it all downed and removed. That was a lot of lost space from the intrusion of the unchecked growth. With the removal, they regained the use of a garage, vision and room in the back.
я, наверное, одна из немногих зрителей, которые смотрят ваши видео одновременно и с восхищением к проделываемой работе, и с жалостью к таким чудесным огромным кустам и растениям 😅
Genial! Deseando que subas un nuevo vídeo. Gracias!
I couldn't believe the size that bourgainvillea had grown to! You did an incredible job cutting that thing and hauling all the foliage and branches out. They are so thorny! Hope you didn't get cut up. I saw the good heavy duty leather gloves but wondered about your poor arms and front. I was so happy when I saw the last big bit of the top come down and suddenly we could see into the distance - yay!!! Full marks for that job, George. Bet you were happy when that was done.
Очень жаль такой красивый куст . Но работа есть работа которая как всегда на высоте !!!
You were like an artist unsculpting that tree. It was a joy to watch!
Even with gloves I don’t know how you’re picking up that spikey thing! You made that yard beautiful like it was never there! Can enjoy the scenery better now! Can’t wait for part 2..- watching from Lake Wales, Florida
The beauganvilla took up so much space! What a project to undertake. Phenomenal job, George! Cheers!
Hi George, it put a bit of a fight, but didnt realise who it was dealing with...lol You always get the job done and this was a massive job.. We grow them big down here...lol The yard looks so much bigger now. Awesome out come my friend. Stay Safe Take Care from your neighbour ❤🙏👍🤗
