    Did you notice the decent lighting, background, and the fact they are dressed up/wearing make up this time around for their apology? It seems they are suddenly trying to look presentable which makes me wonder exactly how far the legal issues are going. They are dressed like they are going to court.

      ruby elizabeth agreed. the are apologizing because their yt channel is on the line. most of what they say is edited because they told whoever editing to cut certain things out. I mean personal info is a thing but, when we would like answers they don't have to give us answers but when authorities got involved they had to. for their sake, however they didn't show all of it because it may be that it supports the theory that they are metaly abusing their kids.

    • @Mitchialia
      @Mitchialia Před 7 lety +13

      That is a very good point. A lot of abusive people don't admit the crime. They will lie through their teeth to look good but if it's not to the kids, you know they're not sorry and being sorry still won't erase habits, behavior and mental issues the parents may currently have. It's easy to say "sorry, my bad" pretend to be good for a month until things die down and then repeat the habits over again even if it's not on camera. I can only image what they do off camera if camera is the censored version.

      They are older and there was no documented abuse of Heather's kids like there was of Cody and Emma, so CPS apparently decided not to remove them - though, if you ask me, teaching kids to abuse other kids IS abuse and they should have been removed as well.

    This whole family seems like a bad remake of the movie "Matilda" if you've watched the film you know that the family inflicts emotional abuse onto Matilda because she shows potential and makes the rest feel insecure because of her love for books and education. Cody is clearly an outlier in this family, not just because he speaks in complete sentences but because he seems to have developed a moral compass on his own where he can judge clear differences between right and wrong, as a result of his self awareness his family punishes him, all in the name of ad dollars. Repugnant!

      Alyssa Rowe It's actually a result, apparently, of a PR group they hired(Fallston Group?). I have never seen two people look more Sunday School than in this "apology". Of course, I don't believe a single word of it. If they could have, they might very well have continued abusing/"pranking" their kids on CZcams until something truly tragic happens.
      Hopefully, with a LOT of LOVE and VERY INTENSIVE COUNSELING, the children removed will forget these two people (I can't use the word "parent" because they don't deserve it) and will grow up to be happy and well-adjusted.

Though my parents had changed (for the better I guess???) but I felt more isolated whenever I'm talking in public and has an instance to ignore away people that felt like hurting their feelings because they're genuinely would like to know me more which in other words, I would prefer to be alone.
      As for the DaddyOFive parents, I am not convinced on their own apology and statements. Though I too would give them the benefit of the doubt and will be praying for their children's health and emotions. If everything all went true, then the DaddyOFive parents are deserving to be punished.

    It has BECOME the norm for the others involved. They'll move on, bullying peers, and hopefully they will become aware that parenting like this isn't alright. Because most people who are in that position don't realize that, then become parents just the same as theirs, abusing their kids. So it legitimately will fuck up ALL the kids involved, in some form or another throughout life.

Kinda like my parents, they tell me they weren't abused, but didn't have the best guides. Yet they grew up to be amazing parents! everyday I wake up a a family. No abuse or anything! Heck, they talk to us and of something they are doing is making up upset to a extream level, they will emedietly try to get rid of that thing. They want us to grow up comfy and I believe that the kids in this family can grow up to be wonderful!

As my mother has always said, they make you get a licence to drive and boat or a car but there is no licence or approval for having children. Despite driving and having children is holding others lives in your hands. Obviously drivers have more rights than children. Its evident in his videos that he treats his children like property. It must make the hearts of people who cant have children, but really want them, bleed when they see such a precious gift treated that way.

I saw right away that these types of pranks were clearly emotional abuse. I wish someone would have done something to stop the person who did it to me. What is sad is that these parents may never learn. The person who was that way to me as a child still thinks that certain teasing and jokes that hurt are still funny. Fortunately I am an adult now and can just ignore it and don't have to live it day to day. And I have realized that something is really wrong with the person who still acts that way towards me. I appreciate you Philip DeFranco. So many times people overlook this because it's "none of their business" and sometimes the parents don't see it as abuse. People often think abuse is just beating and bruising but it's not. Emotional and Psychological abuse lasts much longer than physical abuse, I know first hand. I just heard of this story today and I have watched at least 5 videos from you about it. These videos horrified me and they broke my heart. Those poor kids. But I saw it in a news article that stated the two children abused the most, Cody & his sister, were removed and placed with their mother. It is not okay to teach your kids to hit and abuse each other. Their apology in this video was scripted and did not seems sincere. I think they are sorry that they got in trouble, but not sorry that they did it. I will be subscribing to your channel now. Honestly though, they need major counseling (parents and kids) to overcome this. The other children don't even realize it was abuse. They have been taught to abuse. I wouldn't be surprised if Cody does have PTSD. Those poor babies.

    Loved the video, but I just wanted to quickly mention that when they were talking about asking people where they are originally from, they were really talking about when you ask in a completely rude way. For example, I'm Chinese and was born in China, but adopted by a white family here in America. Sometimes people have asked where I'm from and I say the state or town that I live in, but unsatisfied with my answer, they ask where I'm "REALLY" from. This invalidates the answer I gave and if they asked something about my ethnicity in a polite way there wouldn't be an issue. A microaggression is just that; a small, slightly aggressive, usually accidental, insult.

    He purposefully tried to goad an American Airlines customer to break the law on an airplane. There is NO WAY that would be okay to any employer. Air travel is a sensitive environment these days; you can't have someone that volatile working a flight.

      I don't want to cast aspersions on to the flight crew from allegations. We don't actually know what happened before the camera turned on regardless of what someone claims so it's important to maintain the idea that someone is innocent until proven guilty.

    • @Howtard
      @Howtard Před 7 lety

      Agent Smith I agree with you for the most part, we have no idea whether the allegations made in the first place are true and it's natural to feel threatened in that situation. My issue is that _regardless_ of that, he invited the man to hit him. That's anything from totally ass-backwards in the best case scenario, to a deliberate attempt to get the guy to commit a crime on an airplane.
      He works for an airline, and I find it very hard to believe that they do not receive training on how to handle a belligerent customer. That behaviour was wildly inappropriate and short of some seriously mitigating circumstances coming out, I don't think he should be working as a flight attendant right now.

  • @talabear356
    @talabear356 Před 7 lety

    I have been through an emotionally abusive situation with my own father. I've watched my father put my brother in choke holds, accusing him of ridiculous things like hiding the TV remote, screaming at us at least once a day, telling us constantly to be deadly silent, threatening to "rip off [our] limbs and beat [us] half to death with them." My father was controlling over my mother, not letting her do things or control the money even she earned, hiding what he was doing with the funds. He gaslighted everyone, accusing our memories to be false. For years of my life, I did wet the bed basically every single night. My nightmares were either my father was murdering me, or my father was being murdered. The conflicted emotions made even more confusing the few days he emerged from his room with a smile and hug waiting for me. It was torture, and it scars me still today, even after over 8 years of not living with him. My mom's best friend had an abusive father and was terrified that my father would actually kill my brother when he stayed with my father for 2 months. Two years ago, I finally confronted my father visiting him at the end of the week I was there (in the time he had also managed to threaten to break off my fingers) and he cried and apologized... only to turn around and blame it on another tragedy. Abusers do not want to acknowledge what they have done. They think they're different, they couldn't have done this. I have a feeling that they will end up back-peddaling, just as my father has. This all had hurt me to watch, but as Boogie said, I hope that these children can get the help I never got.
