I think it probably looked amazing BEFORE it was cut down.
Agreed
Renewable resource. Meant to be partaken of.
Usually, these trees are dead, and better to remove them for use before they rot. The trees need to be aged/dried for years before they can be used.
Bull shit, Who plants trees that are allowed to grow that big? nobody! Its only renewable if you renew the resource by replanting the forest.@@randystevens4054
That is so naive. To the point of gaslighting. @@judywebb8358
Madera de lujo manufacturada sin ninguna medida de seguridad para los trabajadores...Que pobreza espiritual...
In my country we have a tamarindo Tree its wood is amazing with beautifil tones of light brown to dark brown.pura vida Guys great job
It just amazes me that these workers have hands and feet!!!!!
In the US.. this company will have lots and lots of work lawsuits..
I'm sure the one's that don't can't work anymore!😂
There’s no safety glasses either. You had to love the guy using the Sthil chainsaw. With the wood chips and saw dust blowing right in his face.
His name is Stumpy...
These are the new hands 😂
Fascinating! Accidents all over the place just waiting to happen, but fascinating.
OSHA wouldn't know where to start with this place.
If men started getting afraid of accidents, the world will stop running.
Why is it that American dudes always want to tell other man how snowflake (safe) the ought to be. Always too worried about what others do???
I had a buddy who owned a bandsaw mill much larger than this one (with 5 feet between the guides). It was the largest sawmill east of the Mississippi. He imported exotic hardwoods and sawed them 9-quarter thick (2-1/4") and dried them in his 17 railroad car kiln for drying. He then stacked them as they were cut with slats between each cut to allow air flow, in his warehouse to be sold. He made a deal with Idi Amin in Uganda, who was the dictator there, to cut 4000 acres of virgin stand hardwoods including bubinga, zerbrawood, etc. Most have never seen these exotic woods nor the shear size of these slabs of wood. Some slabs were up to 5 feet across and over 20 feet in length. This man and his daughter traveled the world to find exotic trees to import and saw up. He sold his high end lumber to those wealthy people for their mansions. He provided tongue and groove lumber for the Dupont mansion in Delaware back in the early 70's. I was able to purchase some of the over runs of this for furniture building, from him. I also purchase several of the slabs for table tops and counters and provide my customers with some rather unique pieces. His large sawmill was located just outside Waldorf MD and his tongue and groove mill was locaed near Conowingo MD. I bought all I could afford before his supply ran out. In the deal with Amin, he agreed to trade the huge custom made band saw to him in exchange for the 4000 acres he cut. The saw was dismantled and shipped over to Uganda in the late 70's. The owner's name was Larry Hagy. I'm sure he's passed by now. It was a terrific find for me to be able to access such fine lumber.
fantastic story thanks for sharing
Really interesting story. I don't even know how I ended up here and I haven't event watched the video, but your comment was worth it. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing Story
I knew one of his 'wifes' in L.A. in 1973.
Amin was a ruthless dictator who had many of Uganda's citizens murdered. I guess it is always good to have a buddy like that to buy your wares from so Dupont can get a nice teak toilet seat
di Jawa timur banyak sekali pohon trmbesi di pinggir jalan. pohon yg cpt besarnya

Any mill worker that cuts anything off gets the rest of the day free.........without pay.....
Mewah bang kayu nya... Suka banget ak
Save some of these beautiful trees for our children . I can only imagine how long does it take to grow to this size
this tree has been cut down for a long time
You do understand that the logging industry replants and regrows more trees than they cut down, correct? If they don’t replace and even up the amount, they won’t have a job in the future.
lmao
6-900 years
the big wood...mantap pokok nya
Mantaap ini sultan baruu..semangatt boskuh
Beautiful tree from beautiful country. Great video and keep it up 🥰🥰🥰
Um dia tudo acaba 😢
thank you..warm greetings from Indonesia
Love it.👍👍
I wish they had of thrown some water on the slab so that we could see the beauty of the colours.

Wow.. amazing nih❤
Mantab👍
If sultan's luxury wood is worth what they say it is, I would recommend holding back on some of the proceeds to purchase more modern wood cutting equipment.
Also buying SHOES for the workers.. can imagine the pain if you step into a nail or a splinter...
700M of whatever the local currency is may not be much when converted.
And some steel cap boots!
Rupiah is the indonesian currency 👍
700 million rupiah is 44749,74 us dollar
I wonder how old this beautiful tree was!!!!
hundreds of years if the big one, madam

Me encantaría ver que muebles hicieron con estos cortes que la naturaleza nos regala y que el peór depredador en este planeta la vende a precio de oro y se hace millonario.
Impressive job, no safety standards, those
Slabs are very heavy, surprised no one hurt
On this one, beautiful wood wow...
czcams.com/video/RbvDeuixubc/video.html he reaches right into the blade...
Western society is becoming more and more stupid due to safety standards, because these standards ensure the survival and reproduction of stupid people. On the other hand, people in developing countries are becoming more intelligent because they ignore safety standards and allow natural selection. I know it sounds inhumane, but evolution doesn't care about humanity...only the survival of the fittest.
Some of the workers were barefoot
สวยมากครับ
Gorgeous wood but a safety nightmare.
mantab boskuu
놀랍습니다~😮
항상 안전하게 작업하시기 바랍니다!!❤❤❤
Wahhh ini luar biasa semangat terus bang 💪💪
The dirt being dug away from the wood is Priceless.
😢
How do you mean? I have no idea why the dirt would be valuable
@@stedbenjPerhaps they mean “dust” as in sawdust?
6-900 years of pissing up the tree
Quite rare to get a Tamarind log that is not hollow in the middle, I had the pleasure of turning some Tamarind and it is as hard as rock but absolutly stunning wood.

No face shields, no goggles, no gloves, no hard hats, no safety boots, exposed blades. It's hard to know where to begin.

So it's a $45,757 tree if we're talking USD... Rather than Indonesian Rupiah.
It'd be interesting to see what % all involved in the end product earn ??

Surely better equipment is in order, this antique crap will get someone injured
Sometimes things are much safer when you are used to them.
Typical Westerner comment. Modernize everything, then you need less men, then Families go hungry This is working for them and come on , it's not that dangerous. They are skilled at what they do each man knows his stuff, I love watching them.
This antique crap is making money for its owner instead of the bank like American junk
Better equipment then the shit they make today that’s a million dollar machine I would love to own it look how wide that blade is
kayu yang sangat indah dalam segi serat nya
VERY NICE VIDEO 👍👍👍🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
BEST WISHES FROM PAKISTAN
We won't live long enough to regret we used these trees so trivially.
Get a life!!
I wish they did some follow up videos on where the wood slabs go next and what processes they do there to the slabs. If they are made into high end furniture or wood walls, ect. It would be very interesting to see. Wonder where I can purchase one of the larger slabs. I have a $2k wood shop and would love to make a beginner bookcase out of one of these. Wood'n U no it!!!
sent to several countries.
Think majority used for doors and table tops.
Thanks. I wish to purchase a slice out of the middle of the tree though for around $9.99 to make a beginner's bookshelf out of. 😊 Wood'n U no it... @@c.s.mcleod7383

Do you think these guys would go on strike if they didn't get a 40% raise and a four day work week?
Nope. They like eating too much.
I worked “under the table” at some sketchy places in the ‘70’s to supplement income. Ya did what you had to do, never unemployed a day in my life. Could have drawn unemployment when discharged but back then, there was pride, family name to uphold in small towns.

สุดยอดครับ
How much is a slab like that worth in the U.S. ?
At least half a dozen lawsuits.
700M Indonesian rupiah is £36k. Sure you could convert pounds to dollars 😃
You can buy tables, wall mountings of this wood..
I wonder what a few classical guitars made out of that type of wood would sound like?
700 milhões de quê? Pesos venezuejanos ,? Dolares de gibraltar ? Ou seria dobroes espanhou ?
Looks like great firewood !
Ignorant troll ... probably never seen tamarind tree in your life ... :) :)
Spalted Tamarind is one of my favorite woods for making pens, It's amazing to see it cut in such huge slabs. I just need a few splinters from that. 😂😂
geraji ngipek wonogiri👍
Besar sekali kayunya, umur berapa puluh tahun itu
iya kk...umurnya udah puluhan tahun
These trees should be quarter sawn or maybe even rift sawn for true beauty.
Maybe wet down a slice in next video to better show off grain pattern.👍
okay guys
What a beautiful peice of wood...
Me preguntó ,cuanto tardo el árbol en crecer de ese tamaño por el grosor de su tronco tendría unos 800 o 1000l años y lo matamos en unas pocas horas ,,😔😔😔
I see there is value in it
Kalau baru 700 juta itu mah blm sabraha atuh mah msh ada kok yg lbh mhl dari itu bahkan sampai mencapai milyaran rupiah Lo guys ok mntp 👍🏿
Josss
That is some gorgeous wood.
My god that would have been fun every sq ft. sold before it was ever cut. Total custom order WOW!
700 million do you expect me to believe that amount? How do you come up with that amount?
That’s not 700M pounds or euros or dollars 🙄
Mohon diperhatikan safety para pekerja.
Siap pak...masukan buat kita
Tamarind Tree - slow growing tree of the tropics, can reach 100 feet tall, produces fruit, may live for 200 years unless the tree is unfortunate enough to be the neighbor of this sawmill.
This one could be over 200 years.
Lmao
Mantap
At first glance I thought oil was being spread on the blade, but it Looks like water being poured on the blade, the viscosity is awfully thin……..
Great job the 1st & 2nd cuts even look attractive 😮…..!

IT IS GOOD TO SEE THIS WOOD NOT BEING BURNED AT LEAST. BEAUTIFUL WOOD TO BE SURE.
Alat pitong kayu sangat midern
I would love to have that whole center chunk of this. I like the dark color.
Brilliant sawmill skills. Excellent handling of rare piece of wood. Too bad you didn't show off the grain of wood with a water bath so we could see.
That’s over 5 ft tall that blade has to be 20ft that breaks you can’t get 20ft away in 1/2 a second
700 Million.... what's that, about $27.95 USD?
USD 46.666
I just watch this for the fun of it because no wood values seven million dollars.
700 million Rupiah
Surly yoUr full of BS . 700 million, I think no!
Is there a video of the harvesting of this tree?
Judging by the safety precautions taken at the sawmill, I would guess there was lots of blood and probably some loss of life involved. Not for the weak of stomach.
Vaya lucimiento e hignorancia ni toda plata del mundo puedes yevartela cajon no tiene gaveta
