From the brief glimpse of the menu it looks like they name a lot of dishes after states and cities, so it's not representative of what the actual dish is called. Also, "paleta" in Spanish means both lollipop and popsicle.
Antojitos are Mexican snacks they’re not meals. The corn you had was definitely not the best. They are usually made with the big white corn and smothered in Mayo, cheese, and hot Cheeto crumbs. I’m so happy you were open minded and tried something you’ve never had before. Just wish you went to a better place. I’m not sure where you’re from but the Mexican antojitos from California are the best! If you’re ever in California please give Mexican antojitos again! You have the best attitude I loved your video!

Ours is homemade popsicles, ice cream.. everything. Look up La Michocana Emerita ice cream parlor.. you can see for yourself the menu.. It’s the bomb 💣.. you might have gone to the wrong spot.. oh we are in Cali.. the ice cream parlors are in Arleta, Sylmar and Lake View terrace.

Girl next time you need to go to an actual street vendor where the elotes are actually warm or try a esquite. Sometimes when it's from an actual place who don't really tend to sell the items aren't as fresh.
In my hometown of Escondido CA...they put hot cheetos in their Carne asada burritos. But yeah...for real Mexican food u need to get closer to Mexico lol
Churros here are generally just dusted with cinnamon sugar...do they sell Elote with mayo and Costa cheese and chili..that is my favorite! I love the local Paleteria, esp in summer, the pops and drinks are so refreshing!

I absolutely can’t recommend someone selling them on a street corner . They have the best and the corn isn’t frozen. Lots of fresh fruit with Tajin. Sorry this was not good. We have a palateria here and it is awesome .
That corn was bad and sad. If youre still in Chicago FIND THE PLACE . it wont be downtown. If you know some one in town make them go with you. Find the store outwest and get the real thing with cotija mayo and they can put cheeto dust on it. But with just cayenne on top of the mayo and cotija or Parmesan. Or find the elote lady who does the flamin hot cheetos on her elotes. Cause that sad thing was not it.
Elote is more of a snack, but they usually use white corn, and the hot cheetos are not really authentic...well not authentic to what people used to make it like, it is kind of a new trend to put hot cheetos on everything. Usually the put mayo, parmersan cheese, sqeeze butter(I've seen with it and just butter the corn instead) and a choice to have chili powder or not.
