In the Phillipines during the war, banana sauce was developed to mimic spaghetti sauce, and provide people with nutrition they needed to survive. It was developed by a nutritionist and has become a dish with history. You can buy Banana Sauce.

As a Vietnamese, I personally enjoy palabok, quite delicious. But the Sphaghetti, noooooo…you Filipino can keep it to yourself. Me and as well as most Vietnamese are used to the original savory and slightly sour Italian Spaghetti. But who knows? Some might like it. Jollibee is quite popular here. I mostly see Vietnamese order rice with Chickenjoy cover in Saigonese chili sauce with an exclusive item only available in Jollibee in Vietnam: Vietnamese pumpkin soup. With option, they would choose either peach tea or milk tea.

I just watched a video about how Jollibee is so much bigger than McDonald's in the Philippines, and how part of the reason why is because their creator came to the US, ate only McDonald's, and figured out that McDonald's is successful in america because it's salty but that in the Philippines sweetness is what's preferred. I mention that because a lot of the mama's mention how sweet the food is, but it's sweet on purpose 😊

tip for the palabok: please mix it and the yellow stuff you see is just the egg yolk crumbing down because when they were preparing it, the egg did have some of the yolk crumble. not mixing the palabok very well especially after you added the calamansi or lime will be a little bland on some parts and won't have an even distribution of flavors

The sweetness they're tasting on the Spaghetti is definitely not sugar but Banana Ketchup. Banana Ketchup was used as substitute for Tomato Ketchup during the war due to shortage of tomatoes but since Philippines has an abundance of bananas, we created a banana ketchup. Resulting to a sweeter version of the traditional ones. Filipino spaghetti definitely raises a lot of eyebrows due to its peculiarity so we're used to it 😂. But every Filipino birthday (especially children's birthday) parties will never be complete without this spaghetti.

the spaghetti is def too sweet. I had it a second time and i think they tweaked the recipe and added less sugar and it was way better. I wonder which jolibee yall ordered from but the Jollibee near tends to be conservative with the mayo, which I like. I love their pineapple quencher as well.

The spaghetti is for kids for sure. I'm older now and I don't like it anymore but I do like home cook pinoy style.

I love this show. The mama wearing hot pink is so pretty and classy. I also like the mama wearing the long sleeve black top. The mama with the tattoo on her neck makes me laugh. She's pretty too.
