Why didn't you tell me how much New York was before I moved here!? I love you anyways 😊
wait, is this 3500 per month rent?
wanted yes though that's cheap for that apartment! Awesome to see you can get those types of steals in Manhattan! If it's too expensive for you, you can always get an apartment in one of the other Boroughs such as Brooklyn.
When you getting down one one knee?
@@LzysGraphics fuck leaving in nyc, that's why everyone there is broke and has no savings lmao
@@LzysGraphics Brooklyn isn't that cheap anyway. I live in sunset park and rent is pretty high here also and this is considered a semi-ghetto or what realtors like to call "up and coming." I would say my neighborhood is about average $2500 but then again I live between two bus stops, a subway up the block, the NYC ferry two blocks away, industry city a mile away, easy and fast access to highway to SI and Manhattan, and Manhattan can be reached in 15 mins by train. You pay a premium for that kind of access and convenience in NYC.
in my country 3500 USD will get you a whole neighbourhood!

LOL do you live in Jamaica?
@@jesusshuttleworth8523 it'll get you 7 apartments in Bucharest
Nobody wants to live in your country, that's why it's so cheap.

I’m never complaining about LA rent again
Ate these guys millionaires or something? 😶
@ no... they each need to make around 70k to 80k to live there each. My SIL is 25 and is an executive admin. at a law firm in Manhattan and makes close to 150k a year. Also, the majority of their rent is the view, which is gorgeous, however, you can get the same place with a crappy view, but with the amenities they are lacking in the same area. This is a cheap pad for NYC, I would say other than the view, they have a great kitchen for what they pay.
Ayy PD wassup,
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@trevor gallup it depends where it is located and your salary.
I would NEVER stop looking out those windows at night. Like I would just sit with a drink and gaze out those windows *she says wistfully*
A many could be gazing at you. So caution on what you are dping
I would shut my lights so no one would be gazing back
Cant have time for that working to pay the rent for it 😂
Yup
Habibi come see outside Dubai windows lol
it's insane...in other countries you can have a whole big house... but the view girl.. that's so nice
In America too, this is just the cost of living in the centre of the biggest city in the world. Heck I'd love to here if I can afford it
You pay $3000 for the view and $500 for the actual appartment.
banknotesandcoins yea thats not it. the rest of the city is also super expensive with no views lol
3000$ for the location 500$ for the apartment
banknotesandcoins view and location
@@Ski3HigH 🤣🤣🤣
So true
In texas 3500 a month would literally get you a mansion
😮😮😮
Real estate taxes and homeowner's insurance is off the charts expensive in Texas. Folks - don't be enamored by how inexpensive Texas homes are. Yes, there is no state taxes but sales tax ranges from 8.5 to 10.25 cents per dollar. And the worst part of real estate in Texas is that when you go to sell it, you'll be lucky to get even 3/4 of what you paid for it. Additionally, water is for some reason very expensive in Texas.
I don't live in NYC nor do I even live in the east coast, but we need to understand the pros and cons of every state.
Texas is awesome . I live in California and would rather live in Texas. But I would move to South Texas .
you can have a city and 1000 acre ranch with that money in alabama yehaw
3500 a month in Bay Area = slum
Respectfully even if I was rich and had a good paying job I would never pay 3,500$ for 1 bedroom 💀😬
Apartment life isn't for everyone
@@SuperCabrito14 that has nothing to do with what he said.3500$ is too much for a one bedroom.
Fr that's like three townhouse payments in Virginia, and you get 2 baths, 3 rooms, and a decently sized living room. With a basement if you want.
@@ben-ee9ns yeah but like she said, you got prove you make 40x rent, so that means she and boyfriend bring in at least $140,000 a month

Kinta1112
Exactly.
Yeah but fuck paying $3500 a month for a view , the apartment itself is tiny .
Shiv. Not true at all , there’s apartments you can get that are similar in size to this one without the same view for $900-2000 per month . However these people in this video are paying for a view 🥱
The difference is , it’s the same location just a cheaper price coz you ain’t wasting money for a “view”
Absolutely.
Wow, never knew skateboarding and product reviews pays so well.

Holy shit, that roof deck. Gorgeous views. Looks fake almost. I miss New York.
3500 a month in the Philippines would let you rent an entire island

Lol
And 3 slaves, a bmw and political ties. Smh.

3500 in venezuela would let you rent an entire Venezuela
I appreciate the transparency about the price. Currently looking for a place in Brooklyn and this gave me some reassurance lol
Booklun is a lot cheaper WULLF
JESUS CHRIST is the Way and the Truth and the Life. (john 14:6). the LORD JESUS CHRIST came unto the earth in the likeness of man and HE took the lowly position of a bondservant (philippians 2:7), not to be served, but to serve, and to give HIS Life as a Ransom for many (matthew 20:28). we are not saved because of our own goodness/works, since no one is good (morally perfect), except One, that is, GOD (mark 10:18), but we are saved by the unmerited love and favor of the LORD through faith in HIM and what HE did for us alone (ephesians 2:4-5). every man is given all he needs to live a Godly life through the knowledge of the LORD (2 peter 1:3). each and every one of us must confess of our sins to the FATHER, we must repent (acts 20:21), and we must strive to live our lives all to the glory of GOD in every aspect (1 corinthians 10:31). if we confess our sins, GOD is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 john 1:9).
Wow for 3500 a month you could have a $550,000 - $750-000 house outside the city!
Omg i laughed so hard. I love it. I havent watched them since school started. IVE GRADUATED UNI AND I AM SO GLAD I CAME BACK.
3500 for that?! I live in a cardboard box for the same price in San Francisco
If you pay $3,500 to live in San Francisco you should be mad at yourself for being that dumb. At least for that price in NYC you're living in one of the best cities in the world...lol
Trent Britain Jéter San Fransisco is one of the most expensive real estate markets in America, but I really don't understand why. It's such a boring, overrated city with very little going for it.
Trent Britain Jéter I should be mad at myself because I worked my ass off for a degree? An apartment in the video would cost like 20k a month in San Francisco lol
Jacob Olivas I’m not sure where you’re going with that comment. Because NYC is the most expensive city in the US. square foot for square foot it costs more than San Francisco.
Michael Fleming ok lol
$3500/month for a 1 bedroom in Midtown Manhattan isn't bad at all, actually.

that's why everyone is broke in nyc
CZcams doesn't pay much. It's all the sponsorships and side projects that come from having a large subscriber number on your channel that does the trick. It's like how writing a book so often doesn't make you much money, but the speaking fees and multimedia deals fill your coffers.

$3500 for a renovated or relatively new one-bedroom apartment with this view in Midtown Manhattan is actually very cheep. They don’t have in-unit washer and dryer so that’s explaining why it’s that cheep to some extent but still cheep. If you want this level of apartment with in-unit washer and dryer, it’s gonna be $4000 a month MINIMUM.
Had no idea we had so many real estate professionals in the comment section.
Here @ CZcams we are all professionals.... ;) But seriously I have been following Louis Rossmann in his search for a new workspace (and Alan Rosinsky of Metro Manhattan Office Space, Inc.), and I'm not a bit surprised to hear it's $3500 for 1 bedroom..

Tbf anyone can be a realtor
You can throw a rock in an empty field and hit a realtor. Not hard to believe they'd be in the comments.
Well I’m from nyc so
I love the sound effects by John when he shows the view 😂😂
I love New York, they seem to have their own culture and identity
$3500 in Rent + Food Delivery for 1 Month [since they don't cook] = really expensive 💸💸💸
really expensive but not as bad i expected actually. I live in SoCal and pay 2500 lol.
I could not imagine paying £2,674.60+ in RENT That view though daaaaamn!
It's not bad if you have a decent job and bringing home a $120k (which is not that hard in New York at all).
cool
Laundry is not free also, $25 a panty, $5 per socks 🤣🤣🤣🤣
you legit have to make 8-10k a month to comfortably live at 3500/mo rent. and she orders take out every day. lol what
Daniel Rodriguez yep. The eating out everyday. I just wonder what does she eat everyday.
David Cotto youtube, sponsors and other projects
i mean, the income in ny is also higher and theyre a couple with both jobs. i bet they'd easily make at least 8K
If they split the rent then they each pay $1750/mo. Honestly that’s not bad. I pay $1550 where I am and I cool all my meals, although if I wanted to I could order lunch everyday, and I’m far from rich or anything.
Most doctors can afford something like this

Travis Warren I used to live in WeHo right in front of Bristol Farms. Man I loved that neighborhood. But the rent was hella high and the buildings are old. California’s taxes are way too high. So I moved to Miami.

I used work in Real Estate in Manhattan, $3500 for an apartment like that is an awesome deal. An apartment like that could for $4500 easy.
For one bedroom that’s robbery. Y’all just don’t know better. You can live in a dope community like I do In Lake Tahoe. I’m retired at 28 and I just bought a 6 bedroom newly built house right on the lake in Lake Tahoe in south lake. That’s actually an amazing apartment with an amazing view for $3500 a month in Manhattan!
Fun fact.
If you eat outside twice a day at different place every time, you need 55 years to eat in all the eating places in the NY.
You won't last, if you eat from every eating place
@@fun-xd8oo Maybe some people can last 🤔
Fun Fact. You'll also be spending $15 - $30 per day per person on meals alone. So, you better be a millionaire to afford expensive houses/apartments/penthouses along with affording meals twice a day.
While it's good that New York has so many options, most people stick with their 10 or so restaurants for majority of their lives.
It's not because other cities don't have more than 10 restaurants, but because people love to live in their comfort zones.
@@rointz2003 I see nothing wrong with McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, Pop Eyes, etc. Cheap but taste great
@@henri6595 Yes, I never denied that they are great restaurants. Actually, my figures in the previous comments includes these restaurants. If one spends about $7-$8 per meal in fast food restaurants, and happens to eat twice a day, then that averages to about $15 per day. That's why I said $15-$30/person/day. The higher end of the range is for lavish restaurants.
According to what you have said, in order to live there you need to prove that you have a 3,500x40=140,000 US dollars yearly salary, are you guys able to make that amount publishing CZcams videos ? If so that's great!
Nah, I believe parent's money play an important factor in the application.
i can relate : "he reminds me to think, cuz i usually dont"
Everyone complaining about New York prices. But what you're paying for is so much more than an apartment. Access, opportunity, culture and community. All those things are priceless. And you get them all in one price. I don't care where you're from. You will find your tribe in NY. I love this city and though I dont live there anymore, it will always be home to me.
Amen thank u for this comment 🙏🏻
Not to mention the fact that you don't have car loans, car insurance, or gas payments. And heat and water is included in rent. Still insane prices, but if you figure that paying for a car is ~400/month then really Sara is paying 1350/month
I've been visiting every year and last year I moved there for 7 months. I wanted to move to feel the real NYC lifestyle. Although it was too expensive for me and at times very hard to survive, it was the best experience of my life. I loved the fast pace life. And being around so many different type of people just inspired me to do more. Now I know why great things come out of such cities.
Yes but you can live in the suburbs and be in Manhattan in 15 to 20 minutes and still get all that. I know plenty that go to the city almost every day and enjoy everything Manhattan has to offer and don't pay crazy rent. But, if that is how someone wants to spend their money, who am I to say they are wrong. Enjoy life, it's short.
New York hasn't had culture since the 1990s.
I've seen it a few times in the comments so just wanna throw out that her rent is $3500/mo and the "40x rent" thing she talks about here typically regards your gross annual salary--meaning the tenants should make $140,000 a YEAR not a MONTH for the person renting out the apartment to approve them living there. And that doesn't necessarily mean that she alone makes that money if they're both paying rent (not that that matters, but just to clarify they could be making that combined).
I think they are referring to 3,500x12=42,000, and they have been there for almost 2 years.
nowitsdone no I mean I’ve literally seen a few (not a lot of) comments asking “$3500/month? /year? You make $140k a month?” That’s what I’m responding to. Just clarifying what is meant by 40x rent
Hey this is rly something id like to have sometime in the future. Not the apartment, but you guys' vibes/relationship. Kudos for great personalities and video.

I live in a major U.S. Metropolis (3 million population), I'm 2 miles from world-renouned beaches, I have front AND back yards complete with queen palms, 2 large oak trees and other native trees. Washer/dryer all to myself, open-concept living area and kitchen (I cook dinner from scratch most nights), a sunroom for dining (which we use for "office space"), 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a tub/shower, large covered front porch, a driveway that 2 cars call home (6 would fit if I were money-stupid), summer for 10 months (frost once every 8 years), and all that for 1/3 of the rent of this Midtown NYC place. No masks, no mandates either. I don't have a view of endless glass/concrete buildings, but I do have a view of lots of palm trees, virtually-guaranteed blue skies every day, an hour of crazy storms daily in the summer, unbelievable sunsets, and a bunch of stars too. I also rent, I'm low-middle class, I have a roommate, but damn life is great here!
Lov u guys
Would you just look at that view!!! JUST LOOK AT IT!!!
the view was good but there are better views in manhattan with 3500
Love the part where she mumbled "Hello strangers that a mum,- uh met" lol haha People are fallible to making mistakes, glad you kept it in the video
What website or company/apps was u able to find to get this type of apartment? I’m currently looking for apartments with views like this one but have no idea as to where to start looking online..
The view is breathtaking!
Sara: Look at this kitchen space!
Me: oh nice, she finally started cooking!
* 2 seconds later *
Sara: This is where we eat food delivered to us because we don't cook
lol i would rather cook and make it healthy when always going out spending money. because that ends up costing alot
Now I want to see a ‘Learning to Cook’ series with Sara but with a catchier name

I would never live in a city by choice. Rural life for me! I open my windows and all i hear are birds singing :) No traffic, no commotion. Just peace and serenity. I wouldn't trade it for anything. The air is lovely and fresh too. I'm glad lots of people like cities, it means more peace for me in the countryside :D
Oh god I know
I live in West London and I feel like I kinda get the benefit of both. Parks and trees everywhere, kids playing on the street, quiet at night but you're always a 20 minute tube trip away from the centre or a 25 minute bike ride to Hyde Park.
This is not what I learned about New York real estate from watching Friends.
I'm from Rome. if I lived in that appartment I would see the landscape out of the window the whole day, I'd not need a TV
