I feel like that name needs to be a drinking game with this podcast.
I like Star Wars CZcams videos. But man 90% of the ones that end up in my recommendations are Salty Fanboys with nothing better to do but complain that the sequels are bad and Kathleen Kennedy is Satan. While ignoring all the new stuff they liked was also made under her management (Mandalorian, Rebels, New Season of Clone Wars, Darth Vader Comics). In my mind they have really only done one misstep and that is listening to the fans after The Last Jedi. Rian Johnson, while controversial, set up the last film to have an interesting storyline, but Disney panicked and tried to undo everything that happened there. But you know what? A lot of EU stuff also said that maybe the Jedi weren't the best thing for the Galaxy. Or at the very least, the way Jedi used to function isn't what they needed. And Luke at the end of TLJ even realized the Jedi can be there, as long as they stick to peaceful solutions. Also Rose wasn't a bad character. But even after I said all that, it wasn't a great film. The last scene left a bad taste in my mouth and the casino scene was overly long.
Hit the three dots and tell CZcams to not recommend his channel. If everyone does this the world wins. ;)

The original book Starship Troopers celebrated facism and militarism. Paul Verhoven hated the book and loved mocking it.

Did you ever notice in "Starship Troopers" that the humans had no logic or reasoning whatsoever as to why or even how the bugs were throwing asteroids across the galaxy at earth? Probably a fascism thing rather than a plothole.
The asteroid came from the general direction of the Bug Planet. If I remember correctly though it was actually a false flag that the Sky Admirals used as an excuse to invade.

Starship Troopers is my favorite bad movie lol. Saw it in the theaters and could've sat there for 90 more minutes of bug killing. They knew their audience. The book was a preachy fascist slog lol
It was the most Hoorah book I ever read.
That's what a lot of people who didn't read the book thought. Be nice if somebody actually read it and formed their own opinion rather than trusting the opinion of Verhoeven, who didn't read the fucking book. And was very, very wrong about what it was about.
I know the clickbait is bullshit, but i wouldn't be surprised if Favreau actually didn't like Kennedy. Watching the Mandalorian behind the scenes show for Mando season 1 there were more than a couple times where she would cut into a discussion with something and he would just kinda eye her, then quickly "right, anyway" once she finished.
Again, i know the clickbait was bullshit, i doubt there is anything close to a "civil war" going on. But him not liking her wouldn't shock me

I want to point out that the Starship Troopers book is basically the opposite of the movie: it actively glorifies nationalism and militarism. The movie is actually kind of roasting it's own "source material." I think that's pretty funny.
