    I got mines for $377 and feel like I ripped somebody off...they sound like you're sitting at the best table in the club with the artist playing in front of you...the vocals are silky and the instruments are real...these are worth $600 easy...pair them with a warm amp...nirvana.....

    I’m a “boomer consumer” like you and I’ve had these for about 6 months….love the look, love the sound and I’m convinced I’ve now got my “forever” speaker! Great video, I enjoy learning your perspective on consumer goods especially audio gear, keep them coming.

      Hello I seen your comment and I am curious I love bass hip hop and rock I have bought 3 different sets of bookshelf speakers and cannot find a pair with lots of bass. I was told to get this speaker or jamo can you please give me an opinion on the bass? Thanks!

    • @MrDonmarks

      @@robertbrown1876 As good as they are they will need the help of a modest size subwoofer depending upon the size of your space to get the most from your music. I did a tremendous amount of research, watched every YT video on several different speakers including Jamo and when it was all said and done I chose the Klipsch and haven’t regretted my choice for one minute.
      Best of luck in your search Robert.

    Great Review, I am so glad I ordered these in Germany on Ebay for 438€ which is USD 513.77 (commercial seller who had that pair on display hence so cheap). On Amazon they go for 490€ which translates to USD 574.77... Klipsch is not so well known over here, (except for audiophiles of course). Enjoyed your video very much and I can´t wait for Wednesday, then I will see if they live up to the hype. Kind regards from europe!

    I've had a pair for just over 2 weeks, getting them broke in, I really like them, I have the older rb61ii, I like the 600m, classic rock, no sub, onkyo 100 watts times 2, onkyo 6 cd player

    Is there any bookshelf speakers with more base, where there is no need for a sub?

    • @manchesterexplorer8519
      @manchesterexplorer8519 Před 2 lety

      You'd need something with an 8 Inch sub . I think JBL makes them for big money though . JBL L82 classic if in your budget .
      But if you do own these Klipsch 600m make sure the backside is at least 6-8 inches away from the wall . Play around with positioning them properly as they are very directional , they do produce a decent amount of bass when you drive about 15-20+ watts into them as they are very sensitive .

    Hey man! For some reason I can't hear Mark Kozelek's vocals on the Klipsch RP 600. It's like his grumpy deep voice hits the crossover head on. I can't confirm this with anyone else, so I feel a bit crazy about it.

      Are you using a 2 channel stereo receiver ? If you're using a surround sound receiver you may have it in multichannel " surround sound mode " switch it to stereo mode .. Just a guess.

    Excellent speaker but their Achilles' heel is their price point. They're comparable to bookshelf speakers 100-350 dollars cheaper, especially in Canada where they retail for $850 here! Buying Klipsch new and not open box in Canada feels like being scalped and their sale price should be their regular price, frankly.

    I recommend pairing them with another speaker if you have A/B channels . At the moment I'm pairing my RP600M with some Yamaha NS10M which are very neutral " Mid- Range " speakers . Mid range is where the RP-600 lack depth so the Yamaha's fill the void . The Yamaha's have no low end and the highs kind of lack so they work in harmony together , sounds very high end .
    Granted I got incredibly lucky and scored the Yamaha's at a savers thrift store in like new condition for $24 for the pair lol . Not bad for a $400+ pair of speakers 🤣 so it cost me nothing to experiment .

    I owned a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers in the early 2000's that developed some low freq issues within the warranty period... Klipsch acted like I was trying to screw them out of something or like I was a criminal. The absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered, needless to say, I'll NEVER buy anything by Klipsch again!
