- The Mogilles family, the family behind McHardy’s Chicken and Fixin’, has been frying chicken in New Orleans’ Seventh Ward since 2000 ( • Fried Chicken At A Dis... ). What started from Grandma’s secret fried chicken recipe has evolved into three generations working together under one roof, day in and day out. At the center of it all is Rahman, who single-handedly fries every piece of chicken, along with his two daughters, his mother, and his father. It’s not always easy running a business with family, but the rewards far outweigh the challenges.

Grandma is an impressive woman
I’m really feeling the grandfather and grandmother’s vibe. They’re clearly educated, had decent white collar jobs, but decided to come back to do something closer to their souls.
The granddaughter's maturity at 13 rivals a 16-18 year olds. Easy.
This guy is passionate about his job and his family. The business is gonna be more successful in the future for sure. And damn the chicken looks succulent and delicious~
This was one of the best videos I’ve ever watched. I am not just talking about a food specific thing, the passion, the humour, the inspirational messages. I never wanted a random video about fried chicken in N.O. to keep going. These people need a show tbh. All of them, this felt like a “new age family sitcom”.

This is literally right down the street from my apartment but hadn’t heard of it as I’m new in Nola. Went to try it today based on this video and it’s genuinely some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Fully recommend.
