This guy needs his own food network show
lol why? Because he’s just going to places to eat?
Naw it’d be watered down. He wouldn’t be able to curse or use the n word lol
No Steve Urkle already had a tv show
The views need to go crazy to get a tv show. I liek try guy but
my major was mass media.
TV doesn't just say "ohhh, he's good we can put him on". He'd get a show if his numbers were constantly breaking the internet.
I would love to see an epic collaboration with him, Keith Lee and Mr. ChimeTime
That grown ass bartender voice threwww me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Definitely wasn't expecting that voice 😂
I was wondering if someone else caught that😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I heard that too 😂😂 just like a lil boy child😂😂😂
Lol and he needs gloves
He moved there from Atlanta
The man in the background at mother's was listening to every thing he said and was definitely catching feelings.
Yeah he was all in there business
He was big mad😂
He looked like he wanted to #Fight
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
'Cause dude was doing too much. Probably a native New Orleanian becoming impatient with this guy's corniness. Nothing more irritating than people coming to the South or coming BACK to the South and PATRONIZING the people and places.
He started talking like he from new Orleans after that bite from the breast when he said crazy 😂😂
I was just reading your comment as he said it and you're so right! 🤣
😂😂😂
He sure did!
It be like that, it happens on accident... Gumbo and Lil Boosie will do that to you! 🤣
He did that a couple of times
I’m a life long Louisianian, and No a poboy shouldn’t be dry. A good poboy should be moderately to heavily mayo-ed and the bread should be crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, not dense at all. You should go to Domilise’s for the best poboys in New Orleans.
I said Domilise’s too
I ❤ Parkway Bakery too. 🥖😋 I’m a regular. I have a video on them.
@@diginandpitchin That’s cool Dude, what most people don’t know about mom & pop places is that they work their @$$es off.
Support you local businesses!
@@jimhanlon2819Alot of people know that about mom and pop shops. In fact, that's the most obvious part about going to a local spot. The fact that they work harder than some franchised corporation with an infinite marketing budget.
Gene’s was my favorite
I'm 50 years old and New Orleans is on my bucket list. I wanna go 🎉🎉🎉
Go! you will have a ball
❤ Great place to visit culture, history & food is the best 🤤
I went on my 50th! Such a great tourist spot!
@@willhammondjr nice 😊
New Orleans is the one spot where I saw people casually walkin down the street sippin a giant pitcher of beer, and it wasnt even mardi gras 😂 much love to the south
As a native New Orleanian, I don’t eat at none of the places you visited!
Next time you visit go to Castnet in New Orleans East. Best Po-Boys and seafood platters in the city.
Checkout ManChu chicken! Triangle Deli! Cajun’s! Brother’s chicken! Next visit, tell the server you want your Po-boy dressed!! You’ll get everything on it and won’t need sauce! 😂😂😂😅
Seems like he went to the touristy spots. I've heard neyows was good tho from a good friend of mine . I can't believe he ain't go to Cafe du monde first .that's like a must. Or Manchu for wings, or cajun seafood .
@@kevinjackson6420 I haven't been yet. My top 3 places I wanna go are chickens kitchen and parkway poboys.
Oh yeah I been to Cast net b4, I bought 2 sacks of crawfish to boil when I was down there a few years back.
I’m was thinking he same thing. Looks too modern of a place and in my opinion won’t get the true local experience
Another issue is new orleans legacy cooks have retired or have passed away. These new restaurants are the younger generation. I've noticed the younger cooks are not consistent or change the traditional recipe.
I love deannies minus all those French frys. Vazquez near the lakefront was good and consistent. Gotta visit the long lasting restaurants.
As long as my future husband eats (your cousin) I’m okay. Love both of you guys 😂🎉
Okkkk you said cuzo future husband... He is mad chill and funny
❤Wait! Cousin IS my husband to-be LoL😂
Whoever gets cousin hope yall treat him right
😂😂
🤣🤣
I'm from New Orleans and I've never understood the tourists' hype on Mothers. But people visiting New Orleans seems to love it for some reason.
Facts
Im a tourist. Been to N.O. 3 times. I ate at Mother's and wasn't impressed. I actually went for breakfast. We were staying in the Warehouse District and needed a quick breakfast. I got the debris and egg po' boy. It was okay.
Can't wait to eat there,
I’m from New Orleans and Mothers is trash can water
@@btalbert83 🤣 "trash can water"!!! Omg. I literally burst into laughter.
You can do an entire episode about poboys from the GAS STATIONS, so lit! Don’t forget about the cracklings out there too.
That's a great idea
I told ya!
That's where I get my PO boys from only. Or Read on East but then gas stations be like 7 bucks for a footlong
Yes! 👍🏾
@@jasonmoses7785I might do a video like that too. 🤣
I love this man. He is hood and bougie at the same time, just like me.
Perfect description. Comical and sophisticated. Reminds me of TJ Holmes.
I have never known anyone outside my country ass grandmother to use the phrase “…den bessie bug” you certified country 😂😂😂
My GrandMommy used to say it to!!!
@@starLaSane girl mine been in LA since the 60’s and still sound fresh out Louisiana smh some thangs you just can’t shake!! 🤣 I told her she had to drop that “bulldagger” you can’t be talking like that no mo granny lmfao
The NO was one of the best food trips i ever had. it's non stop goodness
🔥🔥👊🏾 You got my vote homie 😂💯💯 Fasho
Need to go
The Bigfoot is the “rougarou”…Cajun folklore in Louisiana.
You gotta get the Poyboy’s Dressed! Add Ketchup & Hot Sauce!
👍🏾
The best food channel out now… Appreciate the honesty
Neyow’s will FOREVER be my go to spot when visiting NO. Cause baby those chargrilled oysters 🦪 are EVERYTHING!
Next time go to NoNo’s their food was delicious 😋
definitely need try Acme oyster house! The oysters were great and the fried gator, I will try neyows soon
Yes, that’s why I have them on my YT homepage. 😂
@@ControlyourHRRickyAcme is good too. 😋
I’m a dragos guy
Alex, Po-boys come in two ways. First, traditional: Buttered bread and pickles. Second: Dressed, Mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickles. No sauce! Remoulade is a new concept to add to a Po boy. Also, traditional bread is French bread, not a baguette. I am a Creole, from New Orleans, living in Los Angeles. If you want to learn more about the cuisine and culture, let me know.
Please teach him baby, my boy needs alot of work...
They should have told him u have to say fully dressed most times the restaurant ask u I'm surprised they didn't
I wanna learn more…🎉
@calvinhall225 they probably did...but he has to emphasize extra mayo or mustard if he thinks it's dry
@@videosurfah bruhh ain't have no mayo or mustard he probably just asked for a poboy most times they say how u want it dressed I didn't hear it they slipped on that one🤷🏽♂️
My man's that was making them drinks voice Big LOL 😂
I was looking for this comment 😂
Nothing beats Noleans food. There seafood, gumbo, fried chicken , shrimp , poboys and of course the fancy drinks with a bunch of liquor.
New York City !!!!
LOL no fucking way. Maybe 24 years ago.@@westside8514
Beignets with powdered sugar
Drago’s oysters are bomb!
Yes the bomb
❤ Drago’s!!!
Yess!!!!
Acme is #1 & Drago's #2
Fact!
that cocktail at the start looked delicious and lethal lol
The OG was fascinated with your video in the background @32:38
the OG is sittin with Penny Hardaway
He looking like wtf he over there talking about 😂
Thought I was the only one noticed him😂
He was in the video so much he might get royalties from CZcams.....
Never been to any of these places but Neyow's has been on my list to try. I would say try Cajun Seafood on North Claiborne, Antoine's Bakery in Gretna (glazed beignets), Willie Mae's Scotch House (the original location is closed right now tho), Bayou Hot Wings, J's Creole Wings and Sweet Soulfood (vegan).
I LOVE HOW THEY TALK BABBBY (lol cali girl here so yes they have an accent to me 😍)
Me too!!! It is one my favorite accents.
Their accent is so melodic like a warm hug 🥰 16:09
I’m from the east coast so I can definitely hear their accent and also you’ll Californians too. My bf and my best friend from south central and I hear it all the time 😂.
@@Ms_Neffie it's so weird cuz I love the East Coast accents too, especially NYC. It's funny that people think us Californians have one as well... We just talk proper according to out of towners lol
@@MissOddyO yes girl they say the same thing about us taking proper especially when we go to the south.
I always can tell when the food taste good your face gets that nice smile on it❤❤❤
We’re is Cuzco I like when he try the food too 🎉plus he funny and real too 😂
That mother joint when u walk 🚶♂️ in how that guy was looking 👀 at u at 28:33 had me 😂😂😂
I thought I was the only one laughing 😂😂😂 man almost forgot he was there with someone to eat 😅
@Travels_of_Chicho lol like boo what u lookin at 😂
Frfr if looks could kill LA guy would have been DOA that guy in the back looked pissed.
Its the camera. Not everyone wants to be filmed while eating.@@daStarchildgurl
Love you man, love the food, going through a lot right now and really don’t know what to do in life but you make me laugh, thanks 😢
Stay strong brother, you’ll make it through even if you can’t see it right now. You’ll be thinking about how u got over these hurdles a year from now.
🙏🙏❤
Keep yo head up brotha
I feel you, brother
Please put God in the mix and stay close to positive people 🙏 You will make it through
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I enjoyed this video! I've never laughed so hard! LOL funny asf!!!😂😂😂😂😂
I've never in my life had a dry PoBoy 😅😅 I've also never known anyone to get a shrimp PoBoy from Mother's. Only roast beef but that's a tourist trap. We don't eat there 😅😅 Real PoBoys are at Triangle, Parkway, Castnet, Hanks Seafood, Adam's Street Grocery. Basically, the hood. The people who created it. They're much bigger and juicier for less money. BUT if you go to the other places, you're supposed to ask for it "dressed" mayo etc. NOT sauce and shrimp PoBoys are either Mayo, lettuce and tomato only or Mayo, KETCHUP, Hot sauce, lettuce and tomatoes. Some places are known for their Shrimp PoBoys but some are better known for their HOT roast beef PoBoys or their HOT SAUSAGE WITH CHEESE PoBoys. You only go to the specific place for the specific thing. For example, Neyows = Chargrilled oysters. We wouldn't go there for gumbo 😅😅😅
It's unfortunate that Willie Mae's is closed; they really have some great chicken
Too bad Gene’s is closed too! He would’ve found the Po-Boy he was looking for.
Is Willie Mae's closes permanently? Best chicken my wife and I ever had fr
@@MouthPeaceCorbett unfortunately! Still closed.
Isn't there another Willie Mae's location in the French market? If not, there's a Willie Mae's here in Los Angeles (Venice).
@nikkinicole3538 no they gone from what I googled. I wonder why they left.
He didn't notice Penny Hardaway sitting by him at Mother's.
nah that's not penny😎
Nah...I looked a few times....that's Penny
A crispy baguette isn't real po boy. French bread only that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For dryness You have to add your own ketchup and hot sauce to the seafood poboys. If you got it fully dressed it already came with mayo, tomatoes, lettuce and pickles.
Roast beef debris
I don't know how nobody asked how he wanted it fully dressed or not
lol the bartender.had ,me on floor im sorry i could of never took him serious lmaooo
“Definitely ain’t tryna have no kids!!!!” 😂😂😂
Neeyows is the only place that I would even consider going to out of all the places you went to. That’s only if other places are too packed lol. The drop though…that honeybun breakfast sandwich is a heart attack but worth it 😆
My in law’s are from La. And I eat the whole time I’m there I love there food 💕😊
It’s about time someone who’s not capping for those establishments👍🏾 Thanks for keeping it 💯
That old man keeps looking 😂

Hello 👋🏽 LATRYGUY Love You’re Videos Watching From Chicago 😊
What's the best food in Chicago?
@@LATRYGUYPortillo's beef hot dog with all the fixings
You got to hit up Garrett's Popcorn Shop.. Goose island jumbo shrimps and fish&chips.. Gino's pizza and throw in a beef sandwich and a cheeseburger from Portillo's

Dude love your show!!
Yes man, we know what you saying 🤣🤣🤣
But for real, great videos. Keep going with that great funny reviews.
All the love from Portugal.
That look when you bit that damn donut!!😂🤣I know that thang was fire!
I've been waiting for this video to drop. The food in New Orleans is the truth. Please go to Acne oyster house it maybe touristy, but the oysters, my opinion was the best. I also tried the soft shell crab.
We love Acme Seafood & Oyster Bar.
Acme definitely loved by locals I didn’t even know tourist ate there 😂
@@Ikey504the baton rouge acme location is my favorite oyster spot I go all the time. The off menu dock style and ponchatrain add bacon are the best I've had personally anywhere. But you can't go wrong with the original chargrilled either., always hot and bubbling fresh off the grill
Yes acme is good.
Yeah Acme is one tourist spot that the locals would recommend with the oysters.
Great Content Soulja.
Mr. Ed’s on St. Charles for chargrilled oysters, Sweet Soulfood for Vegan Cuisine, and The Crossing on Dauphine has the best bar food!! The boudin balls are theeee best! ❤️
Peace and blessings KINGS AND QUEENS. YOU HAVE TO GET A TOUR GUIDE FROM THE CITY!
Those made me hungry
Fav food critic. Keeps it real
Great job bro! You stay inspiring me on my food journey. Im going back to new orleans next month to add to my series 💪🏽🔥
Dragos baby! grilled oysters 🤤 🤤 🤤 please try next time!!!!
Just down their for the falcons/saints game and its a whole vibe/party when those two teams play, but Acme Oyster house is pretty good too!!!! the chargrill oysters, gator bites and the Shrimp Po boy is bomb its a line but its worth it!!!
I was there about 5 years ago. Can't wait to go back. Loved the vibe, food, and culture from the street performers, Jackson Square, to all the spots playing jazz and blues! Can't forget about fat Tuesdays!
Only thing I couldn't get myself to try was the turtle soup, otherwise I had pretty much everything!!!!
I bought some giant Slap ya Monma and Tony Chacheree's. TSA saw it on the X-ray machine and pulled me out of line with my suitcase!!! I don't know what they thought I was carrying 😂😂😂
I’m glad you went to Buttermilk drop in the 7🤞🏾🤞🏾❤ that breakfast hit different!
Man I lived for that breakfast rice when I lived off Carrollton 🙌🏾
Not "It's Colder than a Betsy Bug out here"!!😆😆 This phrase made my entire night while watching this video!!🤗🤗. I truly enjoy your content. Many blessing and much success to you!!🙏🏾🙏🏾
I’ve always heard it as crazier than a Betsy bug 😂

Neyow's is one of my favorite spots. Did you try the crawfish boulette?
🔥
I'm in expensive Cali Bay area and been considering moving to Louisiana round my family on the Jackson side. Food looks good brotha LA Try Guy 🤜🏿🤛🏿✊🏿 Blessings
I appreciate his videos because most of the reviewers either love everything (Mike Chan) or absolutely bash the food (chimetime) but this guy tells you how it is. If it’s not good, he will give you the reason why without going overboard
Mike Chan lost me forever on one video intro that I took great offense to. Mr. ChimeTime and TryGuy should do a collab.
Oh he dropped a whole show! 💯💯
Do the Buttermilk Drop 😂😂😂....You need some 13:34 Chichory Coffee....Enjoy Nawlins.
Blue Oak BBQ, Parkway Poorboy's, Antoines and best burger I had was at a bar called Dmacs in MidCity, They also have live music in the evenings. Some of the best food is in bars, gas stations and food carts/trucks! So many places with great food but stray from the hyped places you will find some gems!
