From Surabaya I suggest you continue to *Malang* by train... in Malang you have to visit *Rainbow Village* (Jodipan).. from Malang you can go to Batu. Interesting places to visit in BATU are *Batu Secret Zoo*, *Jawa Timur Park* and *Museum Angkut* (Transportation museum). Return to Malang and prepare yourself to visit *Mount BROMOl* to witness the spectacular view at sunrise, after that continue to climb to Bromo Crater to see the amazing volcano crater.. If you still have time you can visit TUMPAK SEWU, the most beautiful waterfall on the island of Java.. If you like a challenge, you can also visit IJEN Crater at night or early in the morning to see the Blue Flame which is rare in the world, and then witness the amazing sunrise view which will make you feel like you are in a country above the clouds!
While in Surabaya or Malang, don't forget to try RAWON, a dish native to East Java (Surabaya) which has just been named the most delicious soup in the world 2024 by international ranking institutions. Previously, BEEF RENDANG was crowned by UNESCO as the most delicious Padang (Minangkabau) specialty in the world.
