A buddy of mine had a 12 valve 5.9l in his pickup. He had a stock hx35. Made about 58psi out of it pretty regularly. Fastest truck I’ve ever been in. 5 speed with about 900 ftlbs.
Something tells me that this turbo will be ran without air filter meaning that beautiful polished finish on the housing will not last long

Happy New Year Austin! Thanks for another video of it. I have an abnormal fascination for that polished trumpet bore and the powder coat for my 40. I can image how nice that would be with my Big Bubba BOV at the shows.
Happy new year to you it’s really easy to polish on a lathe, 600 grit and mothers is all you need, you could done 600-800-1000 but I don’t go that far

The paint is just duplicolor metal cast paint, available at most auto parts stores, the clear is what has all the flake in it👍

@@turbolabamerica Yes because I myself picked up a Holset H1C not too long ago for $100 in good condition and want to know how much it'd cost to upgrade it and rebuild it to handle much more power/boost because I'm throwing it on my 3.0L Eclipse once I get the rest of the piping and such since I'll want more than just 400whp - 450whp as I heard that it can take only up to around that much power because it's essentially a older HX35 and flows slightly less..
